A Movie-Going Experience Not To Be Missed
May 05, 2014This somewhat unique movie house occupies an old stone building in the heart of Elora, so you could be forgiven for walking past and not recognizing what it was. Despite having limited seating and facilities, it still offers both mainstream and limited-release movies for a good price in a comfortable and discrete environment. August 03, 2013The Gorge Cinema is a local treasure. They show a mix of first run and retro movies in an historic stone building (exposed walls). Don't miss the gourmet olive oil on your popcorn. A note of caution- the washroom is in the basement, so if stairs are in issue, plan ahead.

May 29, 2013This is the one of the last independent movie houses in Ontario. It is small and quaint with beautiful limestone walls inside and out. You won't have a fancy Cineplex 3D movie experience here but you also won't have to wait in line for snacks or fight for a decent seat. I've never seen it packed full and have always... more
