Great Italian food. Pasta is good and the meatballs were fantastic. Nice atmosphere is nice. Nice place for family or couples. Service was friendly.

Quaint, quiet

Good traditional Italian food, not outstanding; a little pricey for the somewhat plain fare, but worth it for the quiet atmosphere.

Best Italian Food

Love the atmosphere, and the food is to die for. Best Italian food, we have ever tried!!! The veal parmigiana is my husband's favorite, but every main dish there is very, very good. And they bring fresh focaccia bread with flavored dipping oil to the table, YUMMY!!!

Great find

We were looking for a new Italian place to try in Sarnia and came across this at dinnertime on Friday night. Prompt, attentive service; the owner is very friendly and conversational. We were seated right away.
The food was terrific and well priced; the owner is happy to provide detail and advice about the dishes. Will definitely come back here... more

disappointing overall

atmosphere: tiny hot restaurant, too dark to read menus - some of the elderly folks had brought flashlights to read the menu (no joke)
service: came in shortly after 7 - felt rushed - found out on our way out before 8:30 that the kitchen closes in between 8 and 8:30 - hence the rushed service; waitresses were not welcoming... more

Little Gem

We've been committed to trying new places lately (my co-worker and I) so we have been using tripadvisor to find new places around town to eat, which is how we stumbled upon Gondola Trattoria. I guess they've been around a long time, and I'm sad no one bothered to tell me (knowing I love Italian food!).

At home in Italy

Great variety of food. Italian cuisine. Personal atmosphere. Restaurant is operated by an italian family. The restaurant is in a small place opposite to Lambton mall. One would not expect to find such a lovely restaurant there.
Having lunch there on a regular basis. Always a good experience.

Nice meal and atmosphere

Our party of 6 had a lovely evening recently at Gondola. The owner's wife ran the bar and was very welcoming and easily created a lively conversation with my family while we waited for our table. Good

Food was yum and service was excellent. Above average prices for the area, but Sarnia certainly doesn't offer that many non ribs-n-wings choices, so I think they've taken a risk and deserve their success.

Two of my co-workers and I went for lunch here and the food was excellent. Nice restaurant. Great place to talk.

Fresh pasta etc

This place I know the owners somewhat along the business path. All feshly made and if you hit there as soon as it is out it is awesome. Try the Lemon dessert..Mama makes it and it is my absolute favourite. She puts a spin in on the crust that makes you just want more.

Decent, friendly, good service, good food

Good veteran staff, nice atmosphere, just a nice mom & pop place. Seemed to be a meeting place for local families which speaks to its quality. Plenty of seating, decent variety of Italian food, all served hot & delicious. Reasonable prices. Would eat there again.

Pizza is fantastic

I actually only had this pizza as take-out but it is worth a review. It was absolutely fantastic. In the past Sarnia always raved about Firenze's pizza but this is way way better. And the extra-large we ordered was huge. As the saying goes "Try it, you'll like it!"

Interesting but good

This is the only restaurant where I've finished my salad and had the server come to remove the dishes and tell me to "keep my fork" for the main course.

Nothing to write home about

Waited what seemed to be forever to get a drink order in. Food took 45 mins. It wasn't all that great at all. Overpriced for what it was. Not overly impressed at all. The place is the size of a postage stamp inside so you can't talk at a normal level at all.

Twice in 2 days, it was that good

Was in Sarnia on business and happened upon the place based on the reviews on tripadvisor. Dinner was fantastic with great service. Everything came out quickly, and the portions are enormous. The server was incredibly helpful in explaining the menu to us.

Amazing Pizza and Service

We were in Sarnia for the weekend. We went to the lcbo store near the restaurant where they were giving samples of pizza and a "craft beer". The pizza was cold but very good. Awesome Pizza

I heard about their pizza through a friend and decided to try it. I ordered a large deluxe, a football field size pizza. Price was comparable, but the flavour stood out and was a hit for my party! You gotta try it...... more

Authentic, fresh, excellent

All the dishes we have had have been excellent. Yet we seem to gravitate to the Mediterranean Fettucini. Their Mediterranean pizza is superb. Certainly worth every penny.
