Although a bit of a drive to attractions we found hotel clean, staff friendly and our stay was very good overall.
Pleasing all round. Great location for dropping off a rental car across the road. Convenient for buses into town. Good exercise room. The restaurant has poor reviews, but I had a nice meal there, and they gave me a free dessert because they thought I'd waited too long for my main (big group there) - I thought the wait was fine...but I still took the dessert. :) .
enjoyed our stay, it was close to shopping and easy to access right off the highway
It was very clean very nice, enjoy the staff, close to everything we wanted to do and see
We had an appointment with our toddler at the IWK and needed to stay not too far from Halifax. This hotel was only a few minutes drive from Halifax and a loss less expensive than the Hotels right in the city. We will definitely book there when we come back to Halifax.
Excellent at the front desk and the room was very clean and comfortable.
Although the hotel is located close to peninsular Halifax, it takes an hour during rush hour to get there. The breakfast, which was included with the room was more than adequate for a couple of seniors.
It is in a good location. Shopping facilities were close by. The only thing a continental breakfast would be even better if it was included.
I needed to be within walking distance of my mother-in-laws house in Halifax N.S. and Future Inns was one of the choices. Customer reviews helped to finalize my decision as they were all positive. For a 3 star rating, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. It is new, well maintained and the helpful staff treated all their guests with calm courtesy. The attached restaurant is also excellent.... more
Would go back without a doubt, nice hotel, good service
Good experience. Clean - nice room. Convenient.
We have stayed there several times and it is always the best place. Very good dining at the redwood
The inn was in a good location. Had a nice restaurant inside. Facilities we're clean and very satisfactory. I would stay again if I plan to visit Halifax again
Got a nice surprise when we stayed here for a week.Hotel staff were very friendly, very helpful with tips on what to see in Halifax and surrounding area. The restaurant was another great surprise the food and service was amazing. Again the staff there was amazing also gave us some great tips on what to see like Clam Harbour beach, one of the nicest beaches we have ever been to.(Thanks again Kim)... more
This was our first stay at this hotel and we found it very convenient to shopping, restaurants and family. The staff was friendly, professional and responded quickly to one or two small requests we made.
Our first room smelled of cigar smoke and we requested a move. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Free breakfast was great and so was the coffee.
Excellent, Enjoyed my stay, it was nice and close to all shopping needs, went to a movie, theatre was real close too. everything I needed was near by and staff were very friendly and helpful.
We flew in to Halifax from Ontario for the purpose of moving our son to a local University. We had appointments on campus, located in central Halifax, as well as a great deal of shopping to do at big box stores. We were able to get everywhere we needed to be easily, and accomplished everything stress-free.
Enjoyed our stay, and were very happy with the hotel. It is conveniently located to shopping, and to the beach. Would stay at this property again.
We wanted to visit downtown and South Shore so this location worked for us. Didn't care for the restaurant but fortunately there is a Cora breakfast near by. Overall I would say average to slightly above average so I scored it 4's out of 5.
Great hotel - the only word of advice is to bring your own corkscrew. We brought wine thinking that the front desk would have one if we needed it, and they looked at us like we crazy!! Other than that, lovely.
Great place to stay close to everything shopping to a theater and highway access easy in easy out
Enjoyed it. The service was the most professionnel and helpful! Clean and very comfortable. The night we stayed was very quiet.
This Hotel is great for getting just on the edge of Halifax for day excursions into the city and surrounding area. The Hotel staff were fast and competent and very friendly. We were allowed to check in 2 hours early after we arrived ahead of schedule.
Everything was very good. Absolutely no complaints.
The room is supposed to be wheelchair accessible which means it meets the ADA compliance guidelines. The bathroom is, however, only partially accessible - the sink is too high and too far back from the counter edge, the towel racks are too high, the shower is not ADA compliant (too small, no seat and not wheelchair wheel-in. The room and hallways are carpeted which makes them hard to use in a... more
very nice and clean, soft sheets, nice duvet, air conditioning worked great.
We had a great stay. The room was great and not as noisy as I was afraid it might be. We were to have a room away from the highway exit. We slept pretty well, the wall were either quite well insulated or our neighbours weren't noisy. In any case, we slept well. There are restaurants, fast-food places around the hotel, within walking distance in addition to a big shopping centre less 3 mins... more
I had a most enjoyable stay as usual lots of free parking, easy internet access .This hotel seems to cater to everyone I saw couples ,families.also people with pets .It was very quiet for sleeping even with the windows open which I prefer over air condition .The Redwood Restaurant served good food and staff there were friendly and caring they seemed to meet the needs of all the patrons and the... more
Nice clean, very new hotel. Friendly staff, comfy beds, Quiet place to stay. Starbucks close by. Large restaurant choice within 1km. Nice pool. Highly recommended.
Found the hotel a little tired. Did not like having a $100 security charge put on credit card. For that reason I would not recommend this hotel.
I would go back to this hotel. Clean is very important to me.
Had planned to stay the night in Bedford but wanted something closer to Bayers Lake & shopping. Found the Future Inn and were presently surprised. Great staff, pet friendly, great rooms. Booked another night next week.
Have stayed here many times over the years for business and pleasure, this time pleasure. Place is conveniently located close to highways and shopping, the service is great, the attached restaurant is good and the rooms are spotless, bright and large. Outdoor parking is plentiful and free.
I stayed one night with my family, we will be staying again, can't beat the price, only downfall no pool!
Rooms were large comfortable and clean. Staff friendly.
A very pleasing Inn, with basic room amenities. Was surprised to not the room it as clean as expected, however a quick chat with the hotel manager during checkout was very reassuring that things would be immediately looked into and resolved before the next visit. The Inn's Manager takes great pride in his establishment and it shows. The Inn is very clean and very modern in it's appearance. The... more
Good hotel convenient to Halifax downtown and airport, with friendly staff.
didn't try the restaurant although a number of people said it was very good. Hated the pillows, but I almost always didlike hotel pillows,.....too high and don't compress
The room was large and clean. Nice Keurig coffee maker in room and a small fridge. Beds were very comfortable and lots of pillows. For breakfast which is included you get to choose from the restaurant either eggs with all the fixens or continental style.
The room was suppose to be an executive room but it appeared like a sub standarded room. The room had ugly old red carpets that looked worn out and stained
We booked into the lst floor. Shortly after a large dog entered the room across the hall. Then another dog in another room started barking and never stopped for sometime. The room smelt like wet dog. Finally a staff member got into the room with the barking dog and took it for a walk. This staff member was the only friendly one working at this place. We were moved to the 2nd floor at the back... more
So we stayed here after a very cold, wet camping experience and I had the best sleep of my life. The beds were huge and so comfortable. Our stay included breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and it too was very good. highly recommend and I would stay there again
Nice to find pet friendly hotel with good rooms. Stayed there during a hurricane and the power stayed on. The room was excellent and staff was helpful .
Great staff, clean room, the restaurant needed to be properly cleaned however the food was good.
It's a nice hotel. We were in town for house hunting purposes and it suited our needs just fine. Beds were comfy, room was clean. Location was good for us, but it wasn't close to the main Halifax attractions.
Stayed one night room was clean. Staff were less then friendly. When checking in the 2 ladies on the desk chatted back and forth about their personal life. When checking out wasnt asked how my stay was. They could certainly use training in customer service
The room was clean and the bed was comfort. Almost nothing to complain about. If breakfast could provide more juice would be better. :) The continental breakfast choice was not so good, since the fruit included was not fresh. The staff there were very nice, you can always see smiles on their faces. That's really warm when u stay in... more
The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean/comfy, and the on-site restaurant was pretty good as well. My favorite part about the stay was the staff. They were very welcoming at check-in, offered to print up any directions I may need while in the area, and recommended a couple places to see on our visit.
Stayed here while in halifax for a dance competition. Impressed we were able to check in early and able to have our requests met. The hotel is well decorated, quiet, clean and friendly. My parents stayed with us and we had two rooms and they commented on how great the whole place was. There is plenty of shopping and places... more
There are two Future Inns in the Halifax / Dartmouth area. I only stayed at the Halifax location, so that's all I can comment on.
The hotel is very new, clean, and well designed. The rooms are big, you get a good selection of channels on the TV, water pressure is acceptable, the iron works, and all the bathroom fixtures are new and functioning. What else could you want?
Unique Quality: Well,...

I've never heard of this chain but after reading a number of good reviews, I thought why not. And the price is pretty good also compared to some other hotels in the same vicinity. I paid $109CDN a night (plus a few other fees as mandated by the government). I booked directly on the Future Inns website which came out cheaper than going through CAA (~$120 or so) This hotel is not located in... more

Very nice and clean hotel, and friendly staff. A bit farther from the centre of the city though. Rooms were spacious and the area was quiet for a good rest. There were plenty of places to eat and shop in the area.
There is nothing fancy about this hotel, it is in a great location, the rooms were average, slightly dated - the option for pay per view movies that were still in the theatre was a bonus. Stayed here with 2 of my girlfriends for a weekend. We did enjoy the restaurant/bar downstairs, they make a great cocktails.

very dog friendly, one of the better experiences in this price range... wish there were more Future Inns on my travel route, if so I definitely would have stayed in them. dog rooms are on the main floor by the business rooms, great idea and easy access. great bed, fridge, big TV. loved it!
We only stayed overnight but the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean and were well stocked with what we needed. nice place to stay if planning to shop in the nearby shopping areas but don't stay there if planning to fly out of airport. The trip by taxi is around $60 each way. They don't have a shuttle so you are on your own.
Located on the west side of Halifax this hotel was a great location for a recent business trip. After that, there's nothing special to say. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, but expensive for what you get. Internet service in the hotel was poor, I had to go to the lobby to get a connection. They have an onsite... more

We stayed at the Future Inns in Halifax from July 12-14, 2013. The Future Inns Hotel was an easy and cost-effective choice.
The rooms were spotless, modern, and spacious. There was a bar-sized fridge for our use, and absolutely nothing we weren't happy with.
