This property is in the heart of the city and has a great staff that takes care of your every need from restaurant advice to what to see locally.
I have stayed here many times, love this hotel. It's very clean and modern, the rooms are a lot nicer then most hotels, nice leather furniture etc..
Stayed here over the weekend with my husband. Over all great hotel everything was clean and the beds were very comfy, which is hard to find in most hotels.
The hotel was walking distance to everything witch was nice too.
The overnight parking was a bit expensive at $22.00 over night. Which I believe they charged us because we booked with Expedia and not with them directly. Which brought our...

Great hotel, Great Location, Difficult to accept the parking fees.
The staff were nice enough, they didn't pay much attention to me when I got there. I signed in quickly enough but the lady... laughed at me? or something she was thinking of, I'm not sure, I am also not paranoid it just made the check in awkward for me. The room was SO clean! You could eat off the floors. it was comfortable. Had a fridge, a microwave would have been nice but I think it would... more
A friend of ours tipped off the staff that we were expecting a child the day of checkout. The hortel gave us a gift basket and complimentary parking! A+!
I reserved this hotel from Expedia and I paid from my VISA card. I was asked to leave a credit card for incidental when I arrived the hotel and I left my AE card. When I checked out of the hotel, I asked for a receipt even the balance was zero. However, no receipt was provided and the no incidental was charged either. A week after, my AE card was charged $256.52 for no reason to me at all. I... more
Very friendly staff, they offered entertainment suggestions and we're quite aware of what was happening in the area during our stay.
Decent hotel and location, although a bit dated. Only complaint was the room needed a vacuum when we arrived, which was done when asked.
Nice hotel ...perfect location...competitively priced
I stayed at this hotel twice and would be happy to stay again if I ever return to Halifax. A clean and comfortable hotel, the beds are seriously comfortable and the rooms spacious. Great location to explore Halifax from. Loved it!
Hotel location was ìdeal! Down town, close to walking distance to many shops and restaurants and the waterfront board walk! Hotel was very well managed and really nice and clean , staff were pleasant. Loved the salt water indoor pool, and the hot tub! Lots of clean towels supplied! Clean modest rooms. Pool / hot tub area was very clean. Prompt room service.
room was clean , over all very satified. The only thing rom was hot and the a/c unit was noisey, had to shut it off night time.
Down town Halifax at its best! Supper comfy bed, great facilities, yummy breakfast, and lots to do and see within 5-15 min. Walk.
Great location. Not having breakfast wasn't an issue, the cafe across the street had a wonderful breakfast sandwich and good coffee. Also, lots of muffins and cinnamon buns. Bed was comfortable and loved the duvet. We were traveling with family attending a family function and the hotel made accommadation for late check outs from rooms and parking. The pool area was clean and inviting.
The beds were sooooooooooooooo comfortable! great location. easily accessed.
Nice hotel. Convinient parking. Good location. Nice room. Comforatble beds
the room was perfect. Great size, comfortable and very clean. My only complaint is how expensive parking is for guests. Rates for parking in Halifax hotels are equal to parking in Calgary which is not right for a city the size of Halifax. BUT parking aside, staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location; close to pubs, restaurants and cafes. All pluses!
Very loud exhaust fans that cannot be shut off and run 24/7. TV quit working on 2nd night. We think the maid may have accidentally disconnectef it
Husband and I travelled with adult son & girlfriend. One of their 2 queen beds had popcorn in bottom of sheets, obviously they hadn't been changed since last guest. Lots of shops, museums, restaurants all within walking distance. Hotel was clean. Nice lobby to hang with the grandson while others slept. Would recommend to others.
The hotel room was spacious and clean. I appreciated the option of going green and not have a switch of the towels or sheets. I like a hotel that can think in the future. Our room had a view of the courtyard, which is decorated to mimic an olden days, almost European marketplace. It was very cute and a nice little touch, instead of staring at a brick wall.
I really like this hotel, I have stayed there three times now. It is in a great location for exploring downtown or walking around the docks area. So many great places to eat just a short distance walk from the Sheraton. From Indian, Cantonese Bakeries, Irish Pubs, Sushi, Thai you name it and it seems to be close by.
I recently returned to this hotel whilst visiting my son in Halifax. As on my previous visits I was warmly welcomed and quickly checked into my room. I was only really using the hotel as a place to sleep and despite a wedding pary on the Saturday night I was not disturbed.
OK overall tight bathroom for a family with young kids. The restaurant isn't that great but the hotel location makes up for everything.
Very good- The wedding went off without a flaw and alkl in all I had a wonderful weekend. I would recommend this Hotel for all these reasons stated.
The hotel is pretty basic: you get a room. It was a basic room with basic furniture, a small empty fridge with lots of storage space, a tv with basic cable, and a pretty clean place to crash after a long day of running around.
The staff were very nice and friendly. We would stay here again. The undergound parking was convenient to go in and out without waiting for a valet.
Very good hotel and staff, i.e. ... you get what you pay for!
We were very happy with this hotel. Lots of space, great amenities, very comfortable and reasonably priced.
Just blocks from the train station and from sightseeing in any direction. Room was comfortable; quality linens and quiet.
This is a great place to stay when in Halifax. It is close to everything and we were able to walk (if you aren't the kind of person who feels they need a car to get a block or two or three away) to all the interesting places we wanted to see. We were happy to have underground parking since we had a rental car we used when visiting and seeing places of interest outside the city.
Brilliant - could not be faulted. What more can I add?
Right in downtown and close to everything. Large, very well presented and comfortable rooms. Wednesday 'meet and greet' in lobby a bonus - gots lots of helpful info from the staff.
Experience was very good very clean staff at check in excellent
Clean, comfortable room. Would prefer free parking.
This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I'm sure I will be back again!
Fabulous location one short block off of waterfront. Room had great view of waterfront. Hotel is surrounded by great restaurants, and easy walking distance to waterfront activities, casino. Parking and checking in a little confusing since you have to enter underground garage to check in if you have a car.
I had to fly to Halifax from Toronto in a days notice and didn't have time to Pre book any hotels or anything. I got a job up here that had a quick start time so I was going to be apartment shopping.
I stayed at the Four Points because it was right near the Budget car rental kiosk and I didn't want to walk far. When I arrived at the desk I was chatting to the staff about my situation, and they...

This hotel is all about location. Right downtown walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was with in walking distance of all the attractions we visited. Pool was great for kids.
great location!. good wifi. convenient parking. skip the overpriced breakfast and walk next door to the cozy coffee shop. will stay here again.
After check in went to the room. I was disappointed to find the room not cleaned from the previous occupant. The hotel check in system indicated the room was ready for occupancy while clearly it was not. I had to wait in the hall with my bags while a new room was located for me. I have stayed in many hotels over the years. This experience was a first.
The location drew me in but the staff and lovely room were excellent as well. Great place to stay in Halifax; close to harbour front and all the action. I highly recommend this property!
The room was great, clean and quiet but for the price I would expect a hotel bar that is open past 10 PM or at least room service that was open past 10 PM. Great location but no services past 10 and the staff were actually arrogant about it.
The beds were the best part. Very comfy and each bed had four pillows with varying levels of plumpness to suit any taste. Bathroom was clean too. The staff was businesslike but not friendly except for the nice person who checked us in. The hotel is well located amid all the attractions downtown and the waterfront. If I ever returned, I would probably try another hotel though.
Conveniently located with respect to restaurants, the waterfront, the Citadel, the Public Garden, etc. Updated and clean. Seems well-managed.
Good hotel in walking distance of the waterfront and most attractions.
We enjoyed our visit, enjoyed seeing the changes in the whole area, last visit was 26 years ago. we booked for 3 days and only stated for 2 I would appreciate a refund for the third day or some form of credit
Convenient , renovated. Appeared clean, however, our 6year old found previous guest's hat left under dresser.Overall, good experience.
good location. nice night away. Room was comfy. Bed was wonderful. Had a beautiful view.
This hotel is perfectly located in downtown Halifax. You can walk to the many attractions including the Maritime Museum, the waterfront restaurants and the many bars and eateries nearby. This hotel had excellent, helpful staff, but - it was like threading the labyrinth to find the associated restaurant, and to get there was entirely unattractive. Well I didn't stay here so I can't say much about the hotel but in November 2007 I did attend some meetings there for work related to Aboriginal employment strategies so I can say a bit about the hotel.
It's connected to some great shopping and it's in a good central location in down town Halifax and just a hop to the harbour front. I would stay here in the future if I had to no problem.
Unique Quality: It is on the water and very close to everywhere you will end up going on foot. The picture is a bit out of date - the casino has moved!
The Four Points Sheraton is nicely located at downtown Halifax. Most attractions are within a 10 minutes walk and Spring Garden Road starts at the backside.
Breakfast is outside the hotel at the Club Niche and can be reached through the indoor Mall entrance on the 2nd floor backdoor.
There's a small refridgerator in the room; also there's an ice machine and a vending machine at each floor.

We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton downtown. The rooms were nice and inviting. While there are more centrally located properties if you are a Starwood Hotels member you can stay at this property, at times for only 3,000 points and $ 30 a night. A deal for a town with pretty expensive hotels.

the rooms were clean and the beds and were comfortable. the cleaning staff and the desk staff were friendly

the hot tub was closed
The staff were lovely and the location was perfect. Very reasonable price

The hot tub was being repaired.
The underground parking was poorly marked and a maze to drive around.
Two of the glasses in the room had not been washed. That is a huge health issue.

The room (6036) had the noisiest air conditioner I have ever heard. It kept waking us up.
I would have liked to have seen a few more bath towels in the room.
The gym was perfect with modern equipment. The hotel is right downtown. Beds are very comfortable.

Ordered a 28$ room service breakfast and got a can of orange juice.
rooms and beds very comfotable

hard to sleep with the noice of the heating system
The beds were great! Extremely comfortable! I've stayed twice for this reason especially!
Osition, wide rooms

For breakfast/lunch and dinner you have to get off from the hotel and
the door to access isalways open; therefore everybody can get in to the
hotel without passing through the reception
Forget you and your lack of check-in parking. You have to double-park to check in, so you can use your room key to get *INTO* the parking garage. Seriously?
Very clean and welcoming hotel in a great location in downtown Halifax, so close to waterfront and activities. The room was very comfortable and we had no complaints.
This hotel is in a great location right downtown. We got a good deal on the room which was clean and comfy. Great for a night in the city. It's $20 per vehicle to park on the parkade the hotel which is a bit expensive. We had two vehicles and the the clerk said she would knock one down to $10. The bill was $40 when we woke up the next day. Plus the maid didn't read the dnd sign on the door and... more
I'll be honest, throwing a bachelorette isn't really a good way to understand the merits of a hotel. Especially when all your friends are from Dartmouth and the rum based cocktail we enjoyed was, let's face it, more rum than cocktail.
With that preface: Overall, I thought the Sheraton was a decent enough place. A solid OK. A little on the pricey side, I thought, for the state of the rooms, but...

The room was dirty. The bed covers were smeared with brown stuff, never changed while we were there. The carpets were dirty and there was detritus in the sink. It was a roof over our head, the room was warm and they provided free water. The toilet was smeared with feces and, again, was never cleaned for the 3 nights we were there. There were people who were loud and partying til 4 in the... more
This hotel is well located and close to everything in Halifax (food, museum, corporate Atlantic etc...). Great staff. Quiet. Should review your rate because it still a 3-star hotel. Will recommend it definitely
Very nice hotel by Sheraton, about 6-7 storey high. Located near downtown Toronto. Many eateries within 5 -10 minutes walk, such as Mckelvies and five fishermen. Got free wifi and complimentary bottle of water in the room. They have their own private underground parking garage but charges $25 a night.
Got two computers in the lobby if you needed.
The room is very clean, basic toiletries...

At first glance, I thought it was a decent hotel. The rooms that do not have a view have a window that overlooks an interesting fake courtyard that is a throwback to a Halifax of the past. Then I found out the price. Not exactly cheap, and being both a former employee of a number of hotels and a frequent guest when away I can spot a bad deal when I see one. There is no breakfast included and... more
The review was misleading. While somewhat updated, the faclility is old. The carpet in the room was heavily stained throughout,; the air conditioning unit rattled; the toilet dripped; and the "water view" was only seen by pressing your window to the glass and looking sideways. While the staff was sufficient, the hotel overall was not up to par. The fitness facility was fine, but there is no... more
I recently stayed here for a conference. Location was great, so that's why it got two stars. The bad? The service in the hotel restaurant, called the Niche, was terrible...very slow even when there were hardly any customers there. Even worse, this hotel has the SLOWEST elevators I have ever seen, and I have stayed in many hotels across the world. The elevators alone significantly and negatively... more
The location is great, the room was quiet and clean. We didn't use any of the facilities (pool, gym, etc.), so I can't comment on anything else. The garage is a bit scary the first time you drive in, but parking was plentiful and not too expensive.
The location was perfect in relation to the places I was going. Staff were friendly, I got the privacy I love. Room was very comfortable.
I was pleased overall with my stay at this hotel. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant and the food was pretty good also but nothing exceptional. Like other places I've stayed in Halifax , the maze of a parking garage is hairy for any car over a compact so I was afraid to move it doing our stay for fear of striking the odd pole beam on a sharp turn. They have a card you hang on your door to... more
Very nice clean, wifi was good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Central location very pleasant 3 night stay.
My fiance and I spent the night here for my birthday. We thought it would be fun to get a jacuzzi - and while they do have them, the best we were able to get was a jetted tub. It was ok, but not the same, and the jets were really loud so it was hard to relax.
The bed was comfy and our room was nice and big with two flatscreen televisions. It was good to watch the hockey game. The real...

This hotel is OK. The room was OK. The staff was OK. OK, OK, OK. My stay was OK. Would I stay here again? No.
It's a utilitarian hotel in a great location, surrounded by other hotels in the same price range that are markedly better. No breakfast (as a business traveller you kind of expect to be able to grab a quick bite). Free wi-fi--that drops you every 10 minutes.

Hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly. The location was near everything. Parking was very expensive and it was cheaper in a near by lot. Would definitely stay again.
Overall, I give this hotel a "meh". Everything was simply "fine". The room was fine, clean with all the appropriate amentities you would expect in a basic guest room, but with kind of drab decor, and nothing to make it really stand out. The service was fine, but again, nothing special. Nobody was rude to us, everyone was polite and competent in doing their job, but no one was overly friendly... more
Location and hotel rooms are an excellent deal considering the rates
The hotel was perfect for my stay as I was only interested in a shower and a bed. Was visiting family and spent most of my time with them.
“The hotel was all we needed. Clean, central location and friendly staff. I would use this hotel for pleasure or business as it covers all the bases. For fair pricing and location it was every bit a four star!”
I had planned on heading over to Dartmouth to spend the night, but a snow storm made me decide to stay here instead to avoid the drive. I consider myself a fairly simple traveller really just needed a place to sleep. I checked in around 8pm and was gone shortly after 9am, but my stay was pleasant. Check in and out were easy and the staff were friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and this... more
room decor is very nice.Staff is very helpful. We had a wonderful stay.Hotel is only 5 min walk to downtown and only 5 min walk to waterfront.
“Great, except that the sheets could be of better quality and the windows do not open for air.”
Our room was very spacious and had a nice view of the courtyard. But the pool and gym were kind of small. We selected room upgrade for breakfast and lounge access, but it was a waste of money. The club lounge was small and had only a few drink items. The "deluxe" continental breakfast was a joke - there was only a handful of items that you would find at lower tier hotels/motels. Plus, we... more
This was an awesome hotel and the service was fantastic, the room was wonderful and very very clean...no complaints whatsoever....super satisfied, will definately use [...] and four points sheraton again and again!!!
We booked the hotel so we could see the parade of lights. It was very close to the parade route which was great. The pool didn't have a shallow end for younger children. No hot chocolate or coffee left in the evening. Parking was $17 for the night so we opted out and parked on the street for free.
The hotel is in a nice location, close to the waterfront, the Maritime Museum, the Citadel, and numerous shops. I was very disappointed with the hotel itself, however. The first morning we received an unwanted wake up call at 6:00 AM. The carpet in our room was stained in several places and looked horrible. The molding around the shower was crumbling and you could see where the water was... more
All was very good. No complaints.......used the location for a small family reunion. Would do it again.
I found the hotel to be excellent overall. Clean and comfortable room, with great features (I really liked teh coffee maker and the type of coffee provided). The location is excellent. I did not have breakfast or any other meal at the hotel so I cannot comment on the food. The only let down for me was the gym. It was very small and limited for the number of guests who wanted to use it though... more
A downtown hotel that I always forget about. Its amongst prime city buzz, but with not so much to take it above other nearby stays. The Westin, Radisson, Marriott and Delta seem to take premise over the existence of Four Points, not because its horrible... but just a little bit forgettable.
One bonus would be its close proximity to the Halifax Market, which will soon be moving down to Marginal...

Good location near the waterfront, clean and spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff. However, the WiFi was painfully feeble and inconsistent (at least in our room), and the hotel is generally unremarkable.
Excellent service, great new modern hotel in a handy location near the harbor and downtown eateries.I would come back .
Comfortable, well-located hotel for a tourist wishing to see Halifax.
Good experience. Very central loction. Good deal for the price

I recently attended a corporate meeting at the Four Points, and the room was perfect for us: comfy seating, big tables/workspaces and good AV equipment. The catered treats were tasty and well-presented, and the hotel staff quickly responded to our last-minute request for a podium. Although the room was close to the mall & Barrington Street entrances, we had lots of privacy and security, and... more
We loved our stay in Halifax it was great and so was the hotel. The only thing that bugged me was we had to pay an extra 34.00 for 2 nights parking which I think should be included in the price of ths hotel.
As a business traveler, I'm normally in US cities that everybody knows. Washington, D.C., Seattle, Atlanta, etc.. A trip to Halifax for me is a real treat compared to the normal meeting-dinner-meeting grind. My room at this Sheraton was booked for me, so choice really didn't factor into where I stayed, but I've gotta tell you, this hotel wasn't too bad!

The Four Points Sheraton in Halifax was terrific. The staff went above and beyond to help us when luggage was delayed. “Convenient location. Reasonable priced. Rooms updated but small. Staff friendly. Restaurant not in hotel but out in mall and more of a club with loud music. Sought good restaurants outside the hotel close by though. Would stay again.”
The hot tub was being maintained so was not available. The pool was small but nice and warm, a great place to float and relax. The ventillation system is noisy, even with the fan turned off making it difficult to sleep. I did not try the restaurant, but it looked spacious and inviting. It is in a good location, withing walking distance to attractions uptown. Parking is ample and easy to... more
I cancelled my reservation here in the time that was allowed and they confirmed my cancellation and told me there was no problem. Then they charged my credit card for the room, and I haven't recieved my money back. I spoke to several people there and they were verbally abusive...even the manager. I found them extremely unprofessional and rude.
Once they have your credit card number they will charge all kinds of things - you will never get back what you didn't even ask for. Unethical. Rooms are diry and stink. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Staff does not care about service and dont care if you are there at all.
Good day, your hotel was one of the finest I ever satyed in. The hotel was freash and had a great smell to it. It was not musty smelling. I stayed for 1 night at this hotel in November. Staff were excellent, went out of their way to help. Bar is located on the 2nd floor situated in a restraunt that seemed very nice. A really nice experience overall.
i think that this hotel is exellent!!!i did not dislike anything but it is still not pefect. i liked everything there, just like other hotels i've been to!!!
This was a beautiful hotel located right in the heart of everything, with large and very clean rooms. Staff was amazing and even came into the parking garage to help us park our trailer. No restaurant in the hotel itself, but in the adjoining shopping mall. Was catered to dinner/drinks, more of a cocktail lounge. Very expensive for breakfast. Staff did recommend a lovely place down the road for... more
The stay was flawless. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is currently construction across the street which has closed one lane in front of the hotel but I couldn't hear any noise. Great location on the harbour and an easy walking distance to all the sites. Fantastic beds and a great local coffee house with home baking across the street.
Even with construction across the street from the hotel (taking up one lane in front of the hotel), this was an excellent choice for a stay in Halifax. The beds were the Westin beds, so they were extremely comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located within a short walk of all the downtown tourist locations and is one short block from the... more
Best located hotel in Halifax - good views, easy access to the waterfront as well as nightlife venues and sights. With friendly, helpful staff and modern well- appointed, clean rooms you cannot do any better than this for a few days in town. The only drawback was some noisy construction work ongoing immediately across the street -otherwise highly recommended.
The only negative aspect about this hotel, was the construction going on outside the front of the hotel. Staff very courteous and friendly as always.
