Great Location, Great Staff but hotel requires

The hotel rooms need to be renovated. The room I was staying in smelled horrible. The sting was not only in the room but the entire floor. The staff service was excellent. They quickly responded to my concern and sprayed air freshener but it was quickly back. Hopefully they change or clean the carpets and then it would get at least ,4/5 from me.

This is an apartment building turned to hotel. So the outside of the building looks dated. However the reception area is good and the rooms spacious with full size fridge. This is located middle of all the restaurants and 5 minutes walk to Parliment hill.

been here before but this stay was inconvienenced by a lot of work being done that was not mentioned to us before we arrived. It was especially frustrating when the workers took over one of the elevators during the day leaving only one other for all of the guests. will not stay here next time we are in town.

Great option for the Ottawa tourist

The hotel is perfect for a party of 4-5 people and you want get one room to optimize. It worked out well for us the last two occasions we stayed in this hotel. Byward market, Parliament hill etc are within a walking radius. So we didn't have to take the car out at all. Overall, I'll highly recommend this place. They also provide grab n' go breakfast which is an added bonus.

Great location and easy to walk around downtown. Didn't use the parking because it was expensive. It was nice to have the breakfast available.

The hotel is currently under renovation. The floor to access parking was full of dry wall dust and pieces. We did end up with a kitchenette room which was nice although we had no use for it. For someone who is staying longer than 3 says it is a very good choice. However, not having a restaurant was a big minus for me and elevators are way too slow when waiting to go down. I had to take stairs down from 9th floor because it was faster.

Yes, that's correct. A used condom fell out of the bedding and onto the floor during a stay in June 2013. I think that probably indicates how often they change the bedding. The staff member working was understanding and moved me to another room but needless to say I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else.

Very pleasantly surprised by this great hotel. Huge suite, king sized bed, two TVs and kitchen and all within 10 minutes walk of the main attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I do a lot of travelling and been to differnt hotels in Ontario. This particular one disturbed me since it had no hot water at all.
Also, parking was an issue. Normally the hotels allow you to park for free, this one makes you pay for it.

There are a few hotels that offer rooms with kitchenette in Ottawa, and three of those are very close to each other geographically and in term of price range. A short walk to Parliament buildings down town. Eateries around the corner. Kitchen facilities if you prefer. Bus stop on the corner and taxi stand outside the door. Big rooms if a little tired.

Capital visit

Wanted to stay close to the action, this was a great location, minutes from parliament, the market, shops and the next street had lots of pubs and places to eat.Room had everything required for a longer stay and was comfortable. The hotel itself was obviously older generation, but was well maintained and everything worked.

Good value for money

Stayed here for a 4 days or so. Reasonably clean, good size suite, close to grocery store, pubs/restaurants and bus stops. Not too far from Rideu mall as well if you dont mind walking a couple of miles.There's also a laundry and fitness centre. they don't provide any housekeeping if you'r staying under 4 nights.

Falsely charged

It was a while ago I stayed back in like Narch and I believe I did a review but I am still do upset I got charged 50 dollars extra for a stain on the carpet which was already there when we got there. Used Condom

There was a used condom in the sofa bed. Staff was helpful and transfered us to a lower quality room...Thanks!. Good luck but honestly this stay has been very disappointing and extremely disgusting.

Great Hotel in great location

Located downtown on of the enter location. Staff is great and rooms are clean and homy.

Practical place just out of the centre

We had a room with separate bedroom (2 doubles) wich was ideal with our 5 yo. Although furniture was maybe a little outdated it was clean and everything needed was available (also guest laundry). Walk to parliament and restaurant area was about 15 min. parking (limited) was available for 14 CAD. cleaning not everyday but no problem for us.

Excellent for a hotel near downtown offices

We only stayed one night but we were very pleased with the room. It was large, full kitchen, parking available, and right downtown within walking distance to where we were working. The price was the best I've found for this area.A little construction behind the building but not a problem.

The check in was fast and efficient. The room was clean and well equipped. Could have a little more colour on the walls etc, to make it cozier, but overall a very comfortable room.The only down side was the parking lot was full and we had to park down the block.

Stayed in the hotel for an weekend . staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were quite okay in terms of size and appliances provided. I had an oven and microwave along with a refrigerator , heater was was working okay. The bed sheet could have been newer. I would recommend this one if you are not looking for luxury but value for money.

I found the room extremely clean and comfortable. Good size, considering I asked for the smallest one available. Staff was "OK". They do not go the extra mile to assist, but they are polite enough.
