This kind of place makes a First Class City. It really is unique. Its also wrapped up in a bunch of silliness caused by Epor, City of Calgary and whoever else wants to stick their nose in. We saw Rory Block at the "Engineered Theatre" at the EPCOR Centre. An excellent venue for the concert. Very intimate setting with this small theatre.
The EC is one of the largest entertainment halls in Calgary, in fact it occupies a full block occupying 400,000 square feet, and that is about 10 acres. It is a 6 level complex downtown so it is near the train terminals and after 6 pm there is very cheap parking underground and free parking on the streets.

I thoroughly enjoy ever opportunity to visit the Epcor Centre. Whether it's for theatre, music, something alternative, or art shows, Epcor Centre can accommodate and does so in style.
We have had the pleasure of attending a concert here, a large theatrical performance, a small theatrical performance, and even a comedian show. If they had a hockey rink, I'd never leave!

Mainly, the only thing I dig here is the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Here, headlining acts from all over the world come to perform for Calgarians. The place is enormous, the seats are comfortable, the ushers friendly, and the acoustics are absolutely golden.

This is a terrific venue in the Cultural District downtown, across from city hall.
It is huge and takes up a full city block, has 6 levels and is over 400,000 square feet. Inside there's a number of theatres and theatre companies -Alberta Theatre Projects, Theatre Calgary, One Yellow Rabbit, and the Engineered Air Theatre.
Plus the Calgary Philharmonic plays in the Jack Singer Concert Hall....
