I was in Ottawa, for eye surgery. Wanted an hotel that was close to the hospital. This one was ten minutes from the hospital. The hotel seemed to be recently renovated. The common areas, particularly the passageways, stairways etc were in rather poor condition and not cleaned properly. The rooms were not too bad but the whole place seems to be in need of renovation eg. there were signs of water leakage on ceilings which had not been attended to.

Acceptable in all regards except noise

The heating system is too loud. On cold days, shutting it down is not an option. Free parking and continental breakfast were nice perks. Close to downtown.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The continental breakfast consisted of stale crusts of bread, cold coffee, no butter, placed in a cold dining area with virtually no heat in mid winter. Lack of sufficient towels and bedding and upon multiple requests was this provided.

Convenient location

Reasonably clean for an older building. Quiet rooms, didn't hear a lot of the "neighbour noise" I've heard at others. Close to a variety of businesses and a short drive to Parliament Hill/tourist areas.

It was extremely cold out, (-26) when we stayed and we just could not get the room to warm up even after boosting the heater as high as it would go.... Just your average typical scummy hotel. The room was really small. When you look closely is when you see the filth. We checked in at about 1030 hrs and were allotted a room in a building which looked poorly maintained. The house keeping as well as the building maint was pathetic. Since the whole block and our room was stinking we requested to change the room but the receptionist rudely refused our request by flately saying " we are fully sold and can't offer you any other option"

We were very disappointed with our stay. Clogged sink in the bathroom, key did not work and required resetting everytime it had to be used. No heat in the room and it took until the next morning to feel comfortable with the heat. The continental breakfast was almost non exhistant. Everything was okay. The room was clean, the shower hot. The desk service seemed to be students sometimes and they watched movies, when nobody was around. But who cares? Worst Stay Ever, Horrible Customer Service

I stayed here with my family December 26, 2009. They started plowing snow at 10:45pm and an hour later they still weren't done. It was extremely noisy with the trucks dragging the plow on the ground. Great stay for an okay price

I booked my rooms online and recieved the internet user rate of 98.99 a night. i stayed for two nights at the end of augest. Decent? Yes. Downtown? No

They are cheeky, really, calling this Comfort Inn 'Downtown'. It's not. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to downtown Ottawa from the Comfort Inn, but this is balanced out by the fact that this motel was the cheapest decent accomodation that my boyfriend and I could find in Canada's capital. We arrived at the Comfort Inn and everything looked good until we check out our room.

Not worth the price

When we arrived at check-in time our room was not ready. After we waited for 40 minutes we were given the ok to go to the room, only after we would supply a credit card (the room was free from choice club). A fair value at a good price

My wife, our 10 year old daughter and I stayed at this hotel for one night during a leisure visit to Ottawa. I booked the hotel through expedia.ca at CAD $87/night plus fees.
By my calculations, the hotel is approximately 4 km from the Parliament Hill, but on the same street (Montreal Ave. becomes Rideau, which becomes Wellington).

I was there on leisure travel. Room was not very big but comfortable. Good bed, everything worked fine. We found the staff to be friendly.
