Our stay was overall quite nice. The hotel is easy to get to, but only has parking on the street. The staff were pleasant and the room was very comfortable.
They have very nice staff. We had good time there.
Good pillows, great wi-fi, comfortable rooms. This hotel is in a great location. The toilet was a bit uncomfortable in room 408. Is turned the wrong way. No elevator.
We were at the hotel for 4 nights and had no complaints. Clean and friendly
Great price even if a little off the beaten path. nicely refurbished older hotel.
the hotel suited all our needs for our short stay.
Very close to the parks, reason for our visit to Woodstock was to attend our Grandsons ballgames, the hotel was only about 5 minutes from the park so very convenient for us. Also we would recommend the hotel to others. It is very clean & up to date.
I was travelling with my dog and was able to stay with no hassles. Victoria park was near by for a quiet morning walk. Nice room and very economical. No elevator but stairs were no issue for for us. Wonderful, kind and polite staff, willing to help out and go the extra mile..... more
The outside doesn't look like much and you have to park on the street or off property but once inside it all changes. Michelle is awesome and deserves a huge raise. She was nothing but helpful and kind.
This hotel is a great find! Very central location to Stratford and St. Mary's. The staff were extra friendly and the room was huge with a great kitchenette. I would recommend it to my friends. Nice and quiet even though here was a wedding reception on.
The hotel is located in downtown area and we actually had trouble finding it because it is on a side street. We also did not like the parking situation as they share a lot which is a small walk away, not ideal when you have a ton of bags to bring in. The room we had was very nice and had plenty of room so no issues there. If you were going to be visiting or exploring downtown Woodstock this is... more
We stayed at this hotel because it was about a half hour from Stratford. What we didn't realize is that there was no on-site parking. We parked in the road and, during the night, were entertained by a rather loud party on the property next door. This would have been okay had the air conditioner kept working all night but it faded in and out. The hotel also seems to be a bit of mixed use with... more
New and very quiet. Room was very clean. Would use in future for sure.
Good hotel, rooms recently renovated. Very friendly helpful staff Excellent location 1/2 block from downtown. Friendly home atmosphere. Will definitely stay there again.
the hotel was clean and neat and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is only minutes from the highway and very close to the downtown area. We were there for one night visiting family and required only a place to put down our heads at the end of the day.
Old hotel refurbished into an EconoLodge in the heart of old downtown. As a result, rooms are small but comfortable. Desk service was cheerful and very helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it highly to everyone.
Stayed here for 1 night and found the linens clean and crisp and bathroom a tad tiny but clean. Was pleased to find a full-size fridge and microwave in the room which we would have made better use of had we known they were there.
The rooms were clean and even included a small kitchen. The front desk staff was amazing and friendly. Nestled within this small town, everything was within easy walking distance.
I like that the hotel encourages guests to conserve energy by reusing towels and not changing sheets daily. Not mamy launder sheets and towels daily at home.
An excellent hotel for the price. Right I'm the middle of downtown. My only issue was that my car was broken into. The hotel parking is basically street parking and my car was broken into on the first night thankfully I had nothing to steal but the car had clearly been rifled through and my radio had been partially removed from the dash board. The staff were extremely apologetic and offered to... more
We need a place to overnight between Rochester,NY and Port Huron, MI 4 or 5 times a year. We found the location to be an easy on and off the 401. We always prefer staying in a place with character rather than a cookie cutter hotel. The Econolodge and our room was clean and attractive as well as being dog friendly. There is a lovely public park for walking the dogs just a block away. Just off... more
The room was small for our needs. The breakfast could use some some work. Like some hard boiled eggs, yogurt etc
It was OK but didn't like the fact that there was no convenient hotel parking.
The hotel was clean and well run. Unfortunately it is an older building but it is kept very clean and in good repair. Parking is a problem as they do not have a parking lot. When I was there a lot of teenagers were hanging around outside but were at a Christian centre and were no problem.
Nice hotel with fridge and microwave and a lot of room. Inconvenient, no elevator and parking is on the street, it`s fine if you are not staying during the day.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel and neighbourhood were quiet. I would go back again on my way to Stratford.
Enjoyed it very much. The staff couldn't have been better. Breakfast was very good.
When we arrived we started off in a room on the main floor which was dark with one window that faced an alley with graffiti on the next building. I asked for a room with a better view and the girl at the desk who was very nice and helpful put us in room 401. There is no elevator but had no problem taking the stairs. Room was MUCH better! No parking lot, had to park on the street. At 2:30am a... more
It was an overnight stay, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good. The staff was replenishing all the products. I would strongly recommend to stay at this hotel. Location is very convenient, close to different restaurants.
We chose this accommodation for its proximity ( 1 km ) to Oxford Gardens Senior Home. We trusted trip advisors top ratings and were not disappointed. You can see why this lodge is less money per stay than the newer spiffy hotels out on the golden mile, but you won't see a reason not to enjoy the savings. Pity the... more
This hotel is a hidden gem. Clean and safe with very accommodating and friendly staff. Has a small elevator from street level to lobby level. Hotel has no dedicated parking lot but not an issue as you can either park on the street or they have arrangements with a parking lot 1 block away for free parking. Everything is up to date (TV included) with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the... more
Everything was as it should be from a hotel experience
No elevator for the upper floors. No on-site parking, but a FREE parking pass is available for the lot half-block down the street.
This hotel offers great value, my only disappointment was parking is down the street in an offsite parking lot. Other than the parking the hotel is excellent. Our room was nice, bed was comfortable, fridge and microwave in room. If we are in the Woodstock area again and need a place to stay we will be back.
For the price we paid, the location, room size and what was included, this was a 5 out of 5 stars experience. We were a visiting hockey team playing a tournament in Ingersoll and our whole team stayed at the Econo Lodge.
Included was free WiFi, Continental breakfast (fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, tea, milk, muffins) and the breakfast...

I didn't just stay here, this was my home for 2 months while I was going to DogPort Dog Grooming school, From January 6th to Febuary 14th and let me just say that Michelle and Chelsea and the rest of the people working there really made it feel like home away from home. Me and my boyfriend stayed in room... more
I'm currently in the middle of a three week stay at the Econolodge and really couldn't be happier. The hotel is located half a block off the main street of Woodstock and this allows you to park the car and walk the town. The other hotels are in the new 'box store' area of Woodstock.
The rooms are sparkling clean...

It does not have parking outside the hotel but a block down the street. Best idea is to park at the front of the hotel, unload your luggage, check-in and then move your vehicle down the road. Its only about a half a block walk so its not too bad. When you think of Economy hotel, you think run down but its not the case with this hotel.
This was one of the best places I have ever spend .. We will be back!!!
Michelle and staff were great and they love the building & sure love what they do and it shows.
They know their town so well and told us the best places to eat and visit!!!
Breakfast was good, rooms are well decorated and clean,...

Let me start by giving this hotel the highest recommendation -which is that we will be coming back. To celebrate our anniversary we decided to spend the weekend away. The only criteria was that it be reasonably close as this winters driving conditions in our neck of the woods have been awful. So we picked the Econo-Lodge which is only... more
I was very surprised to see when I arrived two things- 1) you parked your car way down the street behind some old church, 2) it was truly in the old part of town. My initial impressions was this is kinda neat, I need a room and I was tired so lets just go with it, while once i did get my room I was shocked to see they put me in the basement! The hotel is huge and with no cars parked in the down... more
Stayed here alone for one night in December 2013. All good, basic, clean hotel. TV was a little old, but other than that, very good value! Great location right near downtown Woodstock. Short walk to a very nice dinner where I had a great breakfast, as the hotel breakfast was VERY basic.
I stayed for two nights and it was a pleasant experience. Room was clean, good breakfast was included in the reasonable room rate, staff were nice and it was quiet.
We stay here every time we go through Woodstock. It is about 5-10 minutes from the freeway, but right in the downtown of Woodstock so you can walk to family owned restaurants. It is an old building that has been transformed into a lodge and has much more character than the traditional hotels alongside the freeway. It is exceptionally well maintained and at a budget price. All the usual... more
Just of main st. 5 mins from 401. Close to all amenities.
It was pleasant, and the room was very clean. The only thing I would critize is that it would have been nice to have DIFFERENT muffins/ or pastries as a choice for breakfast each morning.
It is a very old hotel that has been renovated b ut as seniors there is no elevator and we were in the basement. We only stayed the one night and managed to go to a far superior place for the second night.would not go back even the service was superb!
No complaints at all, it's fairly new, everything is up to date, just as good as any new hotel I've stayed in, good internet, flat panel tv, high ceilings, right downtown but not noisy. Only complaint was the so called breakfast, nothing like you get at a Holiday Inn, that is for sure, wouldn't even bother checking it out, would have got an "Excellent" if it wasn't for that.
Stayed Oct 12 for 1 nite. Place has a fun history (before renovations) and has been cleaned up very nicely. Great staff working during my stay here, very accommodating and friendly. Comfy beds, clean facilities and flat screen TV's. Breakfast included but we missed so can't comment. Would definitely recommend!
Only stayed two nights. Will use this facility again on future visits. Excellent value.
I stayed at the Econo Lodge Woodstock for three weeks in Sept-Oct 2013. (I'm writing this as I check out.) It exceeded my expectations for a budget hotel--clean, quite new accommodations, comfortable, included little conveniences that weren't advertised. The staff and management were absolutely super--personable, accommodating, unfailingly friendly. I'll definitely stay here again--with pleasure.
We stayed in Woodstock as accommodations in Stratford are overpriced. Woodstock is an easy 30" rural drive away.
If you stay at motels, don't expect the ambiance of 5 star ho-tels - its not going to happen, so don't complain about the lack of a chocolate on the pillow....
This Lodge however is at the top of the pile for...

I don't know how old this hotel is but it looks "brand new". The rooms are great and so clean! The internet is fast and a good selection of TV channels to choose from. Big bathroom with a walk in shower. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

It is located a couple miles off the freeway in downtown Woodstock. It is an older bldg. converted and has a lot of character, high ceilings, etc. all the renovation are very tasteful and high quality. We like being able to walk to one of the downtown restaurants for dinner. The hotel is super clean and well cared for. We will always chose this hotel when traveling through woodstock.
Clean, tidy, friendly helpful staff, small but well kept room, no view but it was just an overnight, good Wi-Fi connection, seemed to have only street parking, but we had a spot right out front with no cost, they may have other parking but they said we were fine there. Close to restaurants and other amenities.
it was a good location , however the part of town a little shady
Excellent service, receptionist was fantastic I saw her help several older guests in with their luggage. Hotel is clean and very convenient, also offer free continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here again, great hotel for the price!
It was a delight to find the modern and clean hotel at a reasonable price in Woodstock.
Hotel is right downtown - so close to everything. No on-site parking but you can park free across the road when you display a parking permit supplied by the hotel. Friendly staff & very clean hotel. Breakfast
Ratings for this hotel were good but I was very disappointed in it. Our room was at basement level. The room did not smell fresh. The street noise late at night was disturbing to our sleep. Walls and floors were thin and we had to run the air conditioner fan to block out the noise. The continental breakfast was one... more
We picked this hotel based on the positive reviews in Trip Advisor and, once again, we found a great value. Our room was not large, but it was... more
The Woodstock Econolodge was wonderful. It is a beautiful hotel in a historic building. It is downtown close to many small and nice shops. There are also plenty of nice restaurants. The staff were wonderful and knowledgable about the town. I will make a point to stop there again.
I discovered this hotel online when looking for a place for our employees to stay when working in Canada. They always ask to stay here now. I have one employee that after a long day made a joke about climbing stairs. I asked if he could be put on the lower level and BEHOLD he was placed in a lower... more
We stayed at the Woodstock Econo Lodge for 2 nights in January 2013. What a great little hotel. The staff is wonderful, the room was as advertised and it was very, very clean. Great location, walking distance to good restaurants and driving distance to London and the surrounding area. We would definitely stay there again.
when we got to the hotel the check in was super easy, the room was clean and up to date everything worked great. location was awesome. even used the workout room which looked as if it hadnt been used in monthes, it was a nice quiet hotel, the lady at the front desk was awesome and helped me find things... more
How many places out there actually try to help you save money.....this is the only one I know of and I've stayed at a lot of motels. You expect the service to be courteous when you check in but they went way beyond that.
My son and I were passing through; didn't expect much for the price, but were pleasantly surprised. Everything in the room was simple, but sparkling clean. The breakfast lounge was small but comfortable and overlooked the street down below. Beds were extremely comfortable with the best pillow I've ever used. The gal working desk was one of the most sensible,... more
Spent 2 nights and didn't regret it one bit! The employee lady who always works front desk was absolutely amazing. If you are in south western Ontario between T.O. and Windsor, I don't think you will find a cheaper place to stay. And in this case, "cheap" does NOT equal "a dive." My husband and I visit Woodstock on Saturday, August 18, 2012 and stay at this hotel. From the time we entered the hotel to the time we left the staff was so helpful and friendly. Loud air conditioning unit. They also had one of the world's smallest bathrooms - with a sink that barely fits in there! I would recommend either getting a premium room (if it exists) or checking elsewhere.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and let me tell you each time has been great.
Our overall rating of this Hotel is excellent but would have been 10 plus if that was the rating.

I stayed at this hotel the first week it opened and I was SO impressed with the beauty of the hotel, the comfortable bed, the GREAT staff! I have definitely added this to my 'places to stay' when I travel to Ontario. Don't let the 'off the 401" location discourage you, it's worth it.
I came down here for a bowling tournament for my kid with a group of us. Right off the bat when entring the facility i was amazed.
