Nothing Fancy, But OK

Reasonably priced, clean and quiet. Definitely not high end hotel but location is great and people friendly. Can't complain really, A/C wasn't the best but temperature was cool enough not to need much. Quick access to wedding we were going to. Super clean!

Another pleasant surprise in Calgary

A good, comfortable hotel for the price

Decent rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, great location in South Calgary near Chinook Centre. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and keep coming back because of the value. We highly recommend Econo Lodge South as good accommodation for the price conscious traveler.

Not too bad for economy

We stayed there for two nights. Good location, close to the Chinook mall. Rooms are average for a hotel of this class. The hotel itself clean and the staff was friendly. Pool was a nice addition. The breakfast was terrible -absolute no choice -boiled eggs and DIY waffles for two days.

Nice place for the price

Stayed here on business for 1 night. The rooms a clean and quiet and the beds are comfortable. The TV had a poor signal (digital signal, but took a while for the pixelation to settle after changing channels). The breakfast was good (nothing too special). Service was okay (not very professional).

Loved it

Spent 3 weeks here last year and couldn't fault the place. It was immaculate, bed was fresh every day and the towels. Everything was clean and just a really great place to stay!
Staff were friendly and loads of great places locally to visit, including the Chinook shopping mall. Limericks was a fab pub within crawling distance! Loved it

Wonderful Desk Staff

I would have only rated the hotel itself 3 but the front desk staff was so nice I have no hesitation bumping up a star just because of them.

I found the rooms to be very run done and not cleaned very well. They were on the small side as well.

Friendly staff and great location!
Laundry services on site is most welcomed. Near all major amenities! Chinook shopping centre just down the road. Excellent assortment of eateries just across the street. Ballpark with trail is only a couple minute walk south on Macleod. Great if your into running!

Good location. Billing surprise once back home

Stay of 9 nites end of February 2013. Payed in advanced at home. Correct stay, just essentials. Ok location. Minimum service. A week after return home, rebilled with 200$ extra with no comment what so ever. Recalled extra payment through VISA. Nothing yet. No explanation from Eco Lodge South Calgary.

Friendly Place to Stay

This is an older hotel/motel but clean and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms we stayed in were very comfortable, clean and bright. They have a continental breakfast, I enyoyed the waffles. The location is just a few minutes from the Chinook Mall and our favorite restaurant - Red Lobster.

Never again

Stayed here as part of a group. The entire hotel is in need of a huge update. The decor, furnishings and the mattresses are in horrible condition. The room did have a large flat screen TV but that did not make up for the discomfort of the beds and sense that things were not fully clean.

This place was overall a pretty decent place to stay, the rate was fair and it was a comfy. Nice little pool and hot tube, decent breakfast. I will stay there again in the future. They allowed us to have our pet stay as well which is always nice.

My kind of deal

Our family really enjoyed the hotel. It was very clean, affordable, with lots of amenities. I would recommend the hotel to other families who want good value when travelling. We even received a discount to Callaway Park.
The hotel is location was great as well. Lots of shopping and restaurants.

A standard hotel with pleasant staff. The location is a little too far from downtown but it is right on Mcleod.Bed was a little too hard and the could not get the room to a nice temperature. It was super hot.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I am a travelling salesperson on a tight budget so I have to be careful where I spend my money. After shopping around and looking at various rooms on Macleod trail I found the Econo Lodge to give me the best deal. Noisy Place

Good location but noisy. Between virtually no soundproofing between the rooms and the noise of traffic, hard to sleep. Needs upgrading, expecially in the bathroom. Parking is really tight especially with big trucks parked in the spaces, hard to get in and out. Continental breakfast was so, so, should have had more fruit then just apples. Bed was uncomfortable.
