This Econo Lodge Inn and Suites in Moncton offers meeting rooms and free breakfast to all guests. This hotel is near Magnetic Hill, Magic Mountain, Crystal Palace and Tidal Bore Park
We had rented 2 rooms - one on the bottom floor (parking lot access) and the second on the second floor. The bottom floor room was what you could call clean, but the parking lot became party central till 3 am - my staff member couldn't sleep till the people were finally kicked out of the parking lot. Myself and my business partner were on the second floor with another employee, and we walked... more
House keeper didn't clean our room for the next day plus breakfast is not good.
The motel was conveniently located near the downtown core. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a good variety at the continental breakfast of fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads and beverages. Worth the price.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, dirty qtips in hotel garbage, noisy, extremely disruptive, and poor. I'd never recommend this place to anyone, and I'll never stay here again.
À notre arrivée, on a vite compris pourquoi. L'endroit est passablement défraîchi. La base du lit mène un bruit d'enfer dès que l'on ose bouger. On a quand même pu passer la nuit au sec et continuer notre route le lendemain.
I stayed at Econolodge Moncton for one night recently while driving from Newfoundland to Ottawa. I have to say I was disappointed. The room was dark and the window dirty so not a lot of light came in. The door was a bit sticky so it didn't shut tight without a good push.
The bathroom was very tiny, just enough...

This hotel is filthy. I usually try to say nice things about all hotels, but this one leaves no room for compliments. We asked to get transferred because our first room stank of such a strong odour of smoke that my eyes hurt. The next room did not smell smokey but I would NOT call it clean. we have stayed... more
Booked this hotel for a one night stay with my Priviledge points. The room was very small, the carpet should have been changed 10 years ago and the shower was set on pulse (hard) and could not be changed. I am generous by rating it poor.
Arriving in Moncton with three children around 8pm, no hotel booking in hand as that part of the trip wasn't fully planned, we quickly found out that nearly all hotels in Moncton were sold out, so I was joking to my kids that we would sleep in the car. Then a helpful clerk told us there should be some place... more
Staff polite but would not recommend to anyone due to condition and evidence of mold, especially in the bathroom. Our grandchildren did not want to sleep in their beds due to the apparent lack of cleanliness. I guess one should not stay in an accommodation which has a rating less than 3.5. We learned our lesson, book early as most accommodations in Moncton NB are full most weekends. Moncton is... more
Beds were great but rest of furnature and bathroom were bolow par
We took a shot in the dark and stayed here on our way to Prince Edward Island. We were so impressed with Ava the lady checking us in, we returned 2days later to be greeted by her again. My wife said she was the most conscientious employee we have ever had.
The hotel was clean, lots of workers stayed there,...

To expensive for what you get. Bed was very uncomfortable!
This was just not what it was expected to be. While it was cheaper and good for a place to sleep, sleeping was just not possible. We ended up getting in at a reasonable hour to a musty, cold room and were not able to relax at all. The vending machines did not work, and there was no reasonable restaurants... more
Rooms are dirty. Carpet had black marks all over it. Beds were harder than boards. Was woken up at 4am by people outside screaming after leaving the bar that is in the same place as the hotel
Sofa cushions were old and faded. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable, I awoke several times throughout the night. Continental breakfast offered mainly unhealthy options. Way overpriced for what it was. Paid $109 for what should have only been $70 max. About 10 mns from dtn Moncton.
Only one chair in the room, rather uncomfortable to watch TV on the bed
Don't waste your time or money. Our room was dated and smelt musty. My wife wouldn't even take her socks off to walk on the carpet. The other reviews are accurate, avoid this place.
The only pro was the staff. They were friendly, but this hotel needs a reno
This hotel needs serious renovations. The staff is unknowledgeable about the services offered at the hotel. The pool turned my daughter's hair green. The cost of the hotel is the same as new clean fresh hotels.
The hotel was what my boyfriend and I were expecting ( we knew it was cheap and had read previous reviews) but the noise after 11pm from other guests and the bar made it impossible to sleep. Overall, ok but would probably try somewhere else next time
We only stayed here because there was nowhere in town left due to a celebrity @ the casino.....never again tho! I had to sign a waiver to not smoke in the room but it smelled like stale old smoke anyways!! Pulled back the old lady comforter to find 2 hairs! Bathroom needed repairs, a caulk job etc...my kids refused to shower there even...! Front desk staff was very helpful though:) Breakfast... more
This disappointing experience starts with not having anyone at the front desk so I could check-in. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to go looking for a staff member. The front desk person was in the lounge. There were drunk people making enough noise that the whole establishment could hear. Nothing was done. The water pressure in the shower was non- existent. I avoid this chain when possible.... more
My best friend and I rented a room for cheap with this hotel thinking it was going to be a good weekend but there is a bar located on site and we had drunks outside out room at 1-2 am.
I called the front desk they would do nothing as the drunks were guests so I took it into my...

We have an EconoLodge down home, its clean and well taken care of. We figured it would be the same maintenance policy as the one in Moncton, BOY WERE WE WRONG! We had been in town for a friends birthday, decided to stay here considering its relatively close to downtown but still away from the loud late night partying. The... more
Bed was super uncomfortable. Had to change rooms because the furnace broke upstairs that made it stuck on full blast, but were accommodated without any issues. The breakfast was fine, and service good.
disgusting hotel. first room they put me in had no hot water, old ruined and tired decor, broken TV and a foul odur. Got moved across the hall, hot water was good but the smell was way worse. I can't even recognise it, almost a cross of c@!p and throw up.
All this for over a $100 a night? skip this dump and try somewhere else...

I was not happy with my stay here at all. I asked for a room at the far end of the motel because I wanted peace and quiet. When I take a room its to relax. When I get to my room I see a car parked in the spot beside mine. Then later that evening, another couple take the room on the other side of me. So much for the peace and quiet! The room was not very clean, it had an odor at times. It was... more
i found the staff very pleasant and helpful
Very bad hotel! The rooms are so old and do not have a microwave or fridge. You are better off to skip Moncton and this hotel and save your money.
Our room had a missing light over sink, dirty carpets throughout, and everything squeaked ... bed, floors, and doors. The pictures over the two beds were the same. The motel generally needs some work, but the staff are amazing.
We enjoyed our stay. There was no fridge (a lot don't, but it's a nice feature), and the air conditioner was only good if you stood directly in front of it. Other than that, it was clean, and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. We felt that $200 a night was steep for a basic room.
Not what we expected. It was very hard to locate the motel. When we arrived at night there were about 10 guys sitting outside drinking beer and talking (a few were loud). We didn't like this because we didn't know if they would party all night. In our room it was not at all what we expected and it was very hot. We put the fan-heater on cold but it was very noisy (it muffled the outside party).... more
The room was all dirty, very nasty.
From the outside you can tell they dont really take care of the place. We paid 109$ for 1 night, I guess we should have paid a bit more and gone ANYWHERE else. The ceiling in our room looked like it was going to fall on us. Baseboards were broken in the bathroom. Tub was dirty, bed sheets had stains... more
Very disappointed in our stay. The city had both driveways blocked/torn up when we arrived and we had to circle until one was "fixed" enough to get into the really bumpy driveway. The desk clerk on didn't seem too fazed what was going on and didn't even bother to rise from his desk to greet me. The room had a stain on the floor and the door was quite hard to latch. No working fan in the... more
This was a one night stopover. The rate seemed reasonable $85 but when we got the room we understood..... You do get what you pay for, it was tired, dated, run down and sorely in need of renovation. I was very unsatisfied with the cleanliness of this hotel. there was chest hair, dog hair and hair all over the bed sheets and bedding including the comforter.
The pillows were extremely flat and stained yellow. Mattress very uncomfortable.
When I asked front desk for new bedding and pillows, the sheet only were changed.
The bathroom was not cleaned properly....

Had problems with flushing the toilet, and adjusting the heating. Our unit was run down, mould in the bathroom, stained carpet, pillows were lumpy. Next time, I will check out other reviews before booking.
filth, disgust and over all poor work enviroment I have seen many things that many of you probably would never even speak of let alone sleep in the next room from...pretty serious stuff... not to mention the mold and other toxic health issues (RATS in the walls AND PIGEON FECES outside windows) that are present in the place...pay the extra... more
Old style motel. It was full of flies and bugs under the bed and on the carpets. Bed sheets were full of other people's hairs. It seemed like it was changed. Mattress very uncomfortable. Custoner service is number one with this lodge. We were welcomed with friendliness, professionalism and respectfulness. A real nice "down home" feeling..
I read the reviews on Trip Advisor, so, was expecting the worst. However, we arrived to find a 'motel' that was just fine. The room was clean - yes, dated. The air conditioner worked - a bit loud. The pool was nice - the slide was fun (it needs a repair), but, it works. The bathroom was fine - it... more
To make a long story short I went to Moncton to purchase a car, I saved over 5000$ just to drive to Moncton so on the way down there the wife and I though why not try this place out. Since it was an Econo Lodge we figured the price would be fair and which it was. Big mistake I... more
The manager checked us in, and not only was he rude, he blamed other employees for mistakes when he decided to up the room rate that had been previously quoted to us. When I arrived to my room it looked okay. However then my nephew found a used condom next to the bed. I called the front desk and they come up to remove it but it was a turn off for the rest of the stay. Didn't give me much faith that the sheets and bedspreads were clean either.
Now, I am no stranger to travel. I usually travel in style (Sheraton, Westin, Delta, Radisson, etc.), but I was with a group of people and we needed a decently-priced place to stay. There were 12 of us, so we took advantage of their 3 double bed suites. Well, suite is a bit of exaggeration. Yes, there were three beds.... more
Hotel staff are great people but hotel conditions are poor, the smell is not very interesting, the pillows were clean but extremely small and flat, the beds were squeeky, the bathroom is extremely small.
Had the displeasure on having to stay here. The sheets, carpets, towels, phone were dirty and outdated by decades. Made the mistake of pulling back sheets to check for bedbugs (a problem everywhere). No bugs but the number and types of stains more than made up for it. Would not remove my footwear the entire time I was there. Mouldy,... more
Last minute stop in Moncton. Booked by phone should have used internet to check reviews. Dirty, beat-up rooms with mold in bathroom. Strange characters hanging around in the parking lot. The floor would move when walking around.
We needed a place that was pet friendly and economical. The Econo Lodge, Moncton seemed to fit. Lobby was nice but as soon as we opened the door to the room it was a disaster. Had it not been for the time of day and fact that we had been driving for 8 or more hours we would have moved... more

I have never written a review before, but I was so offended by the quality of the room and how we were treated, I had to write to warn others.

My husband and I had decided to stay at Moncton for a couple of nights while on our way to Fundy National Park. We had to find a hotel which was cheap and pet friendly. We were just passing through. The rooms are a bit outdated but since we were literally sleeping and waking up to get back on the road, it really didn't matter. The hotel was inexpensive and clean. It was perfect for what we needed it for.
I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge in Moncton and wanted to share my thoughts. A couple months ago, I made reservations at the Lodge in preparation of the upcoming ACDC concert. This hotel doesn't appear to have been updated in a long time. It's an older two story building (with no elevator). The bathroom sink in our room had been broken, then repaired and painted white. The towel bar had been changed at some point and the wall was patched (not by a professional). There was a small coffee maker (one... more
From 9:30 PM to after 11 PM there were a group of laud and rowdy people in the hall and outside. We called the front desk to complain, and he was not helpful. Then from 12:30 to about 2:30 the same group were back, and drunk this time, keeping us awake.
After spending a long day at the hospital with a sick family member I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Moncton area to relax and unwind. Boy did I get a surprise with this place. Hotel is not worth what you pay. It is an older establishment that is showing it's age. I expected much more from the accomadation given the price range. The complimentary breakfast was mediocre at best and the dinning areas are small and dirty.
I would not stay at this establishment and would not recommend it, especially considering the price.
