We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Econolodge in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Our first impression was Dave, one of the most helpful and cooperative desk clerks you could ask for. Canmore is a picturesque resort town in the Canadian Rockies. The Econolodge at Canmore met all of our expectations for a quality hotel. We would definitely stay there again.
The good: The room was loaded with goodies not even found at higher priced hotels: keurig coffee machine, fireplace, tub with jets (jacuzzi in the washroom!), big flat screen TV, DVD player, small kitchen, WiFi, sofa bed. Included continental breakfast, friendly staffThe bad: Hard to find anything bad. Apparently it was a little noisy, but I was too tired to notice and slept like a rock.
The EconoLodge is very comfortable. There are gas fireplaces in the room and some rooms have jacuzzi tubs. For the price, I didn't expect those things. It's not fancy, but I sure enjoy the fireplace and it's nice to relax in the jacuzzi tub.
I was able to get a last minute discounted price for a room with a nice fireplace and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi, however, didn't work. The desk clerk was very apologetic the next morning. Other than that, the room was great and an excellent price for Canmore.
Was in town for a wedding and the host hotel was sold out so I grabbed a room at the Econo lodge which was close by.The host hotel didn't have a beer fridge but the Econo lodge did.Room was clean, shower worked great, nice tv and a bar fridge to top it all off.
I have lived in this Hotel for 3 days as it is really attracted me for everything in this Hotel. The staff are so great that helpful and nice. The quick response made surprise as I complained about the hair dryer and it is only the misunstanding about the use.Beautiful views of the rocky mountain just in front of you when you went out to your balcony. The breakfast is good and with type of... more
We were surprised at the value offered here as well as the room. King size bed, flat screen TV and a gas fireplace. Made for a cozy comfortable stay. We were quite impressed.
The room was great and everything was nice and clean and comfortable. The walls were paper thin and our neighbors were noisy and we didn't get to sleep until 3 in the morning.
The hotel was clean, convenient, and nice. The best option around Banff!
We were impressed by the fireplace, fridge, microwave, coffee, breakfast, and DVD player above the TV all in a standard room. There was a whirlpool bathtub, great after hiking or skiing but no swimming pool.
“This is a good reasonably priced place to stay. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.”
The location and view were great. Arrived early and they got our rooms ready quickly. Had booked the room looking forward to the whirlpool- disappointed that it wasn't open on a busy holiday weekend. The ice machine also didn't work until our last day.
Our room was a bit dated. The carpets were stained and the room had a strange odor. Our biggest complaint was barking dogs and dogs running at large in the hotel. The hotel had a choice of a free continental breakfast or a hot breakfast for a $*surcharge. We opted for the continental breakfast which was o.k. until a couple showed up with their dog running loose in the breakfast room. If you... more
“Like I said the room was not very big. First a room was offered to us beside the restaurant backdoor, beside the smelly garbage bins and broken wooden steps to the parking lot.”
“Pleasant staff, convenient location and clean, renovated rooms with nice amenities. We had a ground floor room. Water temp in the shower was highly unpredictable, occasional moments of scalding or freezing with no warning. The hotel smelled like the kitchen exhaust fan from the attached restaurant was blowing straight into the ground floor. Every footstep made in the hall was audible in the... more
“This hotel would be great for business travelers or short-leisure trips. It was extremely clean and had a few extra perks that made my stay more enjoyable (free wireless internet, Jacuzzi tub, etc.).”
“Overall, nice place to stay traveling threw to next destination.”
“Not worth the money; it is talked about as being an Inn. Nothing more than a motel. Noisy location”
