Yam rolls - taste like oil
Teriyaki chicken rolls - chicken with no flavour
First time ordering from here in a few years. Although there was a lot of chicken, it had absolutely no flavour. The yam rolls were super soggy :( Unfortunately, we were very disappointed and will not be ordering here again :(
Good atmosphere here, with great quality rolls. Spicy tuna rolls are awesome. Only wish their nigiri was cheaper. Can't justify spending $2 per piece.
Ok place. Good atmosphere. Good portions for price. Always a good choice for sushi. Tuna tower is my favourite and the dynamite roll.
There are a couple of better places in Abbotsford, and a couple cheaper, but overall a pretty solid place to go. Big pieces of fish on the nigiri, tuna was awesome. Rainbow roll was only ok especially for the price but overall good stuff
I'm not sure the lower ratings are justified. The quality of the food is better than many of the other restaurants in the area. The rolls are well sized, good texture and most importantly tasty. The only miss I've had there is the Agedashi Tofu...you can't have it all.
The semi-closed booths are great for taking the whole family and I think this place is part of the reason my kids enjoy going...

Good food. Questionable service. We wanted to phone in a takeout order close to closing (8:49 pm) but when the girl answered the phone all she said was "sorry we're closed, we close at 9". Pretty sure an order of California Roll wouldn't have been impossible.
I am pretty pedestrian when it comes to sushi so don't expect my review to pick up all the nuances of the genre, but to a lay person such as I ( I rarely stray from dinner box B for instance), it is pretty good.
They often include a bonus item when ordering takeout that is a fun way to try new things. Price is inline as well. I am a fan.
Staff is very friendly, prices reasonable, and the food is very good. The California rolls are particularly good.
this place was a miss.
My parents suggested it b/c they wanted a Japanese place close to them.
What we got was a poor Korean imitation, with the staff and chef falling over themselves trying to impress us (likely on account of my wife?), but making the effort look clumsy and not improving matters.
Having lived in Vancouver I have eaten at many high and low end sushi restaurants. The ambiance at Ebisu is certainly lacking. It reminds me of a diner dive. However many dives serve really good good. Service had always been good and the quality of the sushi is pretty good too. What I really appreciate is that I can get... more
This is one of the better palaces in Abbotsford to get sushi.
It's really small, but they're not too busy, which is a nice change of pace. It's clean and nicely decorated and the staff is very nice and accommodating. The food is solid, it's good and well priced.
I'll defiantly be coming back!
Had lunch here for the first time. Ordered the lunch boxes.....AMAZING.....sushi was great, tempura was fabulous, miso soup was perfect. Waitress was nice, and service was prompt and excellent. Been looking for a good sushi place in Abbotsford for a while....will be back.
Went out for a dinner at ebisu sushi, wanted to try something new and I'm so glad I did ! The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The food was to die for! And I'm normally quite picky with sushi. Anybody looking for a nice relaxed comforting meal with great service and food that makes you leave feeling satisfied go... more
Whenever I have a flight that drops me at Abbotsford International Airport I head to the other side of Abbotsford to get Japanese food from Ebisu. I've tried a number of sushi restaurants in the area and while some come close, this ones is the best. I almost always do take-out and head back to the hotel, but it looks... more
