Went to The Eatery on Canada Day at 3pm. Super hungry! Food was awesome! Got the love boat and san francisco rolls. Food was delicious, loved how they served their sashimi. The Eatery is Epic

Sushi is always fresh, creative and most importantly delicious. This has become our favorite restaurant in Kits and can never get enough. Given the menu is huge, we are usually just happy to order off the specials menu. Restaurant is laid back atmosphere and service is generally very good!

Loved the selection of vegetarian options and ambiance. Not very kid friendly but not many places are that have good sushi. The sake was average though as it appeared to not have been heated up as much as it should. The jalapeno popper roll was awesome and i would come back just for that.

Every time we go here we love the food. It is always noisy, the music is too loud and we have to yell to carry on conversation. We go back because our grown children love it anyway.

Really great range of innovative sushi

We really enjoyed ourselves at this busy place, filled with a younger ubc crowd and a mix of older also. The sushi combinations were unique and daring.....all good. If you want a "traditional" Japanese food experience, go elsewhere. If you want a fun time with fun food, go here.

Fun, delicious sushi experience

My husband & I were so impressed with all the different kinds of sushi offered here, & the quality! Some of the best we've ever had, being East Coast dwellers. Fun, young atmosphere. I also tried a mango sake margarita, & it was amazing!!! Only thing I could say negative is that the music was a tab bit too loud.

Was lied to, how sad

I recently went to the Eatery which I have been to before and not had this problem. I asked again if the salmon was wild because in the off season some restaurants will only used farmed salmon. The server said that it was indeed wild and when the sushi came out there was a cheese like substance on the salmon.... more

The decor is dark, kitch and dim-lit. Background music is loud rap, so you cannot speak in a normal tone of voice.
The menu is quite varied and the presentation and service was good. However, our shrimp sushi was lacking shrimp! Not much nutritional value and the prices are on the higher side.

Nope, no extra LCD monitors in places you wouldn't expect but almost! Pimped out sushi with the most eclectic combinations of flavours! This is definitely a place to enhance your sushi palette with something out of the ordinary. Get in here, enjoy the lively ambiance and have some good grub!

Cool interior

This is a hangout for students near UBC campus and the sushi is great and so are the neat paper mâché decorations. It's pretty dark inside and noisy too but it's a fun place to go when you're looking for something a little different,

This is a great sushi restaurant with some pretty innovative ideas! Its usually pretty busy and the décor is a bit weird but quite cool.

Probably the worst service I've had this year.
-Waited 40 minutes with a reservation
- 1/2 the table got there beers, 20 minutes later the other half got there beers

I was visiting family and we headed to this restaurant one evening for dinner. Overall, it was delicious. The restaurant was very busy & we were waiting a few minutes to get menus/drinks etc. but once staff popped down they were great, and a bit of a flirt if I'm honest ;-)

Just had dinner here, got there at 7pm, no order taken till 7:35pm no food until 9pm!!!!!
Sushi is ok, but nothing special when there are so many other good places for sushi in Vancouver.
Third or fourth time going there and service is always bad. Won't be going back.

The Eatery creates unique sushi combinations, for a reasonable-expensive price. The decor is eclectic. Service is good, but the place is often busy so reservations are recommended and even then, service may be a bit slow.

The menu here is huge(like a book). There are lots of choices for sushi lovers but they also have curried dishes with rice and lots of choices for vegetarians but this is not a vegetarian restaurant.
