Needed pastries and found Dufflet on the Internet in Toronto. Their cakes were delicious!
not a good croissant. was big and puffy, but not flaky and didn't really have the buttery taste of the croissant. expected better from this famed bakery.
Okay ... so I tried the carrot cake and I can't stop thinking about it ... the frosting is just so rich and sinful ... YUMMY...
The cake itself is thick, heavy, and sweet and there is no way you can trick yourself into believing it is healthy.
But the winner has to be the frosting ... I wish I could replicate the recipe and spread it on whole wheat toast. That way, it would be more healthy,...

Dufflet, a place well-known for their birthday cakes and other delightful pastries, can be found in the midst of numerous patisseries and bakeries in the Yonge & Eglinton area. For those who have been to Dufflet before, I'm sure you know that they don't have labels nor prices in front of their cakes. It's a little troublesome to ask the staff about their wide array of pastries because it can... more
I have NO idea why Dufflet gets such rave reviews. I went in today (Sunday) for a treat during our dog walk. The two positive things I can say about this place are:- awesome location- super cute and clean insideNow for the rest:- The service was HORRIFIC. If the owner/manager reads this review, check who was working on March 20th. I swear food/coffee tastes better when service comes with a... more
Where have I been all this time? Went in with a friend yesterday for the first time, tried a mocha cake and it was delicious! She had a vanilla cupcake that was a bit dry but overall it was good! Cute store!
I was meeting a friend one afternoon along Queen St. East and he suggested meeting at Dufflet. He said he was dying to have a Lemon Tart. I've heard much hype about Dufflet bakeries and was curious to try it out for myself. We got the Lemon Tart and a Ginger Cookie. Nothing big, just a little taste :) The Lemon Tart was great! If there is a ginger cookie on the menu it's always what i choose,... more
Who knew Dufflet made such tasty lunch food items!!The other day I joined a friend for lunch in The Beach and she suggested we meet up at Dufflet's.I didn't even know they served lunch food and it was great. I ordered the mushroom and barley soup and it was so tasty with a taste of lemon. I love it. Came with a nice side of lavash-like flat bread with herbs. yum! My friend tried the bean... more
Yum! Dufflet is an extremely cute pattiserie, where the aesthetic matches the product really well.I'm actually not the hugest fan of desserts so I might not be the best judge but I will say that I really enjoyed Dufflet's hot beverages and little tarts. Since we had a 2 for 1 slice coupon (thank you Toronto coupon book) we got a carrot cake and a chocolate layer cake. Both looked and tasted... more
We booked Dufflet's dining area for a private party. Cutest little private area with big windows and natural light. The staff were extemely accomodating and flexible given that we would be occupying the space for a couple of hours. We ordered a couple platters of pastries, as well as a chocolate layer cake with buttercream frosting and fondant decoration. The cake was absolutely beautiful,... more

Mmmmmmmmm expensive and utterly delicious. What else do you need to know?
december 24th around 3pm, maybe: husband and wife decide to go to i deal coffee, then the running room in the beaches; while taking the streetcar notice that i deal is closed, continue, make a bet between them which is further east, woodbine ave or victoria park ave. husband wins (one million points). december 24th around 3:10pm, maybe: husband and wife exit streetcar, in the rain, husband... more
Yesterday was my first time trying Dufflet. WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING!?? I know this place is fairly well known, but I had never come across it before. The shop is in the Queen East area, which is near the beaches. I've been to the beaches, but never traveled up to Queen. Plus I'm a Queen West girl! The shop is extremely clean. I didn't plan on buying anything, I just wanted to take a peek at all... more
For those with a sweet tooth, Dufflet is great for a treat anytime of day! From individual desserts to large cakes, Dufflet really is the place to fulfill all your dessert needs!
First tried their pastries at a bakery stand at St. Lawrence Market. Incredible stuff and when I was last in Toronto it ended up being Passover and I was invited to a seder in North York. But where to get a gift? I thought a nice Kosher for Passover pastry instead of a c@!%!y botltle of Manischewitz Wine. Nice idea in theory but finding something decent? Good luck in downtown Toronto. However,... more
Dufflet is known by any serious sweet tooth as one of the best bakers in town. They win hands down with the triple-layer chocolate banana cake, which incidentally also happens to be shelved on almost every T.O. restaurant’s dessert tray. Stop by the bakery and cafe for a fresh java brew and pick from myriad sugary confections.
