I visited this pub with a few friends just about a week ago and we had a great time! Service was friendly and fairly quick even though the place was completely packed. We enjoyed some great live music over appies and drinks. We'll be back again for more Irish pub fun!
Pints of expertly poured Guinness flow freely; bands perform lively Celtic music that inspires the occasional sing-along Crowd Rabble rousers, happy to play Irish for the night Go for The free beer, if you wear a kilt on the first Thursday of the month Hours 11:30 a.m.-2 a.m. Sun-Thurs, 11:30 a.m.-3 a.m. Fri-Sat
At this rich dark room with its wooden tables, stained glass, and Celtic drinking songs getting lucky means finding a barstool—this watering hole overflows like a badly poured Guinness. The menu is standard pub grub: kilt-clad waitresses serve bison-beef burgers ($11) and traditional Irish stew ($10) to a diverse crowd.
This is a place where people who want to be really really loud and drink a lot come to party. It is not real clean but if you are into loud heavy drinking this would be an alright place
We had breakfast buffet at Doolin's for 2 days that was included with our stay at the adjoining Comfort Inn. They gave us a discount so we ate dinner there one night. I got a pasta that was absolutely wonderful with blackened chicken. All our meals were good and the portions just right. I would recommend!
We ate here while staying at the Comfort Inn downtown which is in the same building. It is an Irish Pub with good food and atmosphere.
As the pub is joined on to the hotel, decided to have food and was not happily surprised. My wife wanted a taste of home and had the Bangers and Mash,it was what the doctor ordered and was polished off. I had the Doolin burger and it was very tasty.
The pub is busy, but there always seems to be seats.
An Irish pub with staff in Scottish kilts showing Canadian sport on TV. Came here on a Saturday night with my partner, bit of a queue to get in and paid a few dollars on the door too. Once inside the atmosphere was great, good music playing and plenty people all seemingly enjoying themselves.
The reason I gave such a...

we stopped in to gather with our friends and enjoyed a good beer and wings. The service was good and the wings and beer great.
Try the Steak Pie or the Shepard's Pie. The meals are big and filling. Both pies stayed hot right to the end. You get grilled fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. You will not be hungry.
Had breakfast as guest of Comfort Inn. Food was as expected for a fair price, ambient and decoration were also within expectations.
Doolins is such a staple on Robson street. I have been there countless times. There is nothing fancy about it but it just seems to keep drawing me back. The beer is always good and the location is excellent.
Went to this bar a couple times to watch some hockey games. Great atmosphere and good beer selection. Nice bar tenders and good crowd.
Good food, good company and lots of TVs for sports events. Superbowl 2014 was quite the event and an awesome place to be.
Would love to review the dine out for Doolins that we had today but can only review what we ate. Went there just after 3pm for the dine out only to be told they start serving it at 4pm. This was pretty disappointing. The ridiculous thing was that the kitchen wouldn't do it when we asked even though all of... more
My husband had the Irish Stew and I had the special, Beef Stroganoff. I tasted both and would have either one again. They had beers that my husband and I liked also. Next time we're in Vancouver we'll be stopping here.
Walking in the rain in Vancouver and decided to sit and dry off. We found Doolin's on the corner and felt like a pint. While there we got the Irish Nachos which were very good, with an Strongbow Cider Ale great combo. After awhile we ate dinner and the Burger was very tasty and so was the Shepherds Pie. The... more
I went to Doolin's to meetup with friends. As I was waiting for my friends to arrive the female server was really rude and she was forcing me to order. I told her i'm waiting for my friends. Then when I finally order they burnt my burger! I'm eating here again.
This is yet another bar in Vancouver where the owners think that putting skinny servers in mini-kilts and calling it Irish will mean that people will rush to it. Kilts are Scottish and very few women want to look at anorexic servers with sour expressions standing around all night. That being said, the food, music and atmosphere are good and... more
Enjoyed Irish breakfast, the atmosphere and great service. Kilkenny beer on tap and hard cider (Okanogan?). Can't wait to come back.
I have always found the food and service here to be second to none! Whenever I can, I choose to stay at the attached Comfort Inn and not have to step outdoors if I don't want to.
This pub is attached to the Comfort Inn Downtown hotel where we were staying, so decided to stop off here for a few beers :) and dinner on our first night in Vancouver. Good selection of beers and great simple pub food. Great atmosphere later on when it started to fill up. Good musicians playing also. For some reason the... more
We were there for a quick beer and meal before our concert we were attending. It was so friendly and great food. Husband had the quiness pie and loved it. It was thanksgiving and I had a traditional dinner with pumpkin pie. We came back after the concert and had another bite. The Irish Nachos were to die for and... more
Great banter with people in the bar, was so friendly and ordered food which was huge for the amount I paid for it. I loved the mentality of staff and also the customers. I thought lauren was fantastic too so give her a pay rise ;)
We stopped in for a beer and some wings. The wings were tasty, although not very meaty. The beer was more expensive than what we are used to being out in the valley, but we still bought 4. The only reason I didn't give this place a 4 instead of a 3 is because of the guys selling NFL jerseys... more
We enjoyed the breakfast we had there in the morning, especially the waffles.... You made them yourself, but it was well worth the wait.
The food was great as well as the service. Very reasonably priced. We had dinner here. Later on, stopped in for drinks. An enjoyable pub. Entertainment as well.
...and I've had quite a few shepherd's pies in my day. Alone on my first day in Vancouver, I stopped at Doolin's for a pint and a bite, and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The pint was an Okanagan Spring lager, which seems to be pretty popular up there. After a longish walk in the afternoon heat, that... more
I and my wife went there at 5PM. It was very quiet and very good pub. Rickard's white draft was very good. Not only beer but foods are very tasty. Especially Ahi tuna wanton tacos and Rib eye steak were good.
For a great after work function and pub grub go for Doolin's Irish Pub. Our company hosted its annual post tax return deadline filing party at the pub and it was great. Assorted pub food galore: chicken wings, sliders, massive onion rings. And of course, beers.
The pub also had plenty of TV screens to show the hockey game.
The...

After a long day on the road and a late arrival to the hotel, friends and I visited Doolin's for a quick bite/drink shortly before 11 pm.
I have to admit that for a pub on a Thursday night I was disappointed the kitchen was nearly closed down but grateful our waitress managed to get the kitchen staff to whip...

As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, the music was extremely loud (and this was at 1:00 in the afternoon). We just asked to have it turned down and they accomodated. Nice lunch, and it was also the place where the hotel provided us with free vouchers for a buffet breakfast, which was very good. Very handy for those staying... more
The pub was almost empty, yet it took ages for one of the 4 waitresses to notice us. When we asked why they don't have any Irish music instead of the horrible loud noise, she shrugged and said that nobody ever complained before. Looks like the staff is insufficiently trained/supervised.
We stopped into this Irish Pub looking to grab some food and a Steam Whistle - we were disappointed on both fronts.
Upon arriving on a Saturday early evening the place was packed with drunk University Students. The bartender was less than helpful and after serving us a beer they left us at the end of the bar and neglected...

This was fantastic. Great food and better beer. All staff were fantastic too super friendly. lots of screens for hockey and soccer too
Has a great feel and atmosphere. The was wonderful and the food was superb!! Have been recommending it to all my friends here in seattle, Washington, Thank for a wonderful 1st time in Vancouver!!
This place has a great atmosphere and great potential, but the the food just sucks. On top of that the service was never able to lift up the experience.
This is one of the many places to be on a Friday or Saturday night. Both nights I passed this place and the line to get in was long. Who knew so many people wanted to party in a pub? Make sure to say "Hi" to the very popular "bouncer" Charles.
Had great buffet breakfast as part of Comfort Inn Downtown room deal, but also good pub for wide variety of good beers
Three nights before Christmas and the joint was jumping. Locals obviously know and support this authentic and fun pub. Food was functional but people watching was the highlight. After a certain point in the evening, the door to the hotel is locked so we had to exit the pub and walk down the block to the hotel main entrance, but... more
Went for a drink on New years eve and ordered a couple of drinks and the drink came with absolutely no alcohol in it even though we ordered alcohol , I think the Bartender/She thought or assumed we were drunk and tried to get the most out of it by cheating. Besides that when asked for the bill, it came... more
I didn't try the food, but the beer was good. The place gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights and on Thursday nights they have live bands. The servers are very nice, especially Kristin, she's super funny!
Good pub, good beer, good food, good service. What else? Sport on TVs. Located on the first floor of the Comfort Inn Hotel.
A fun pub with great food who know how to serve a Guinness properly. I tried the 'duck bites' which were small pieces of roast duck wrapped in bacon. Spectacular!
The layout, decoration and atmosphere of this pub is wonderful. Have a wander around. It's very cool. The food was wonderful. We wondered why an Irish pub had Butter Chicken on the menu. Turns out 'Mama' in the kitchen is East Indian and man, does she know how to cook! The service was a bit slow sometimes, but always friendly.... more
This restaurant is an integral part of the Comfort Inn Hotel in downtown Vancouver. The menu is quite extensive and is of good quality. I only had one meal there but friends had more and were enthusiastic in their praises. I found my meal to be substantial and tasty. The service was great as was the price.
We were able to walk here from our hotel. The food was good and the ambience in the area is excellent.
Good pub, great atmosphere and service. Also one of the few places I found in downtown showing Sunday football games. Pulled pork sandwich is surprisingly very good.
This is a standard "Irish Pub" with a great bar selection. The atmosphere was pretty good; sports on TV, some music playing. The dinner menu is pretty extensive for a pub but it is pretty standard pub fare. We shared a large Irish Nachos which were excellent. The Dollins Burger was very greasy but the fries were pretty good. I... more
If you are staying at the attached Comfort Inn Downtown this is where you have your breakfast, which is good if not spectacular - although beware if you want yours at the same time as a large group! Tried to get a meal one evening but servers disinterested and gave up. DRinks acceptable but again no interest in what they... more
Doolin's is attached to the Comfort Inn Downtown, and the hotel provides complimentary breakfasts. Their breakfast buffet was similar to, but a little better than, those found at most hotels. I didn't have the chance to eat any other meals there, however.
A great pub, an amazing service and above decent food! Mid range selection of beers, but a great atmosphere!!
The food was amazing for dinner and breakfast. The waiting staff was slow at dinner with not many people in there. But the food was amazing!!
Vancouver's favorite Irish pub on the Granville strip. Live music, Guinness on tap, always a 20 oz. pint. Official Whitecaps Pub Supporter!
This Irish pub has all the fixings to make you feel as if you've transported yourself back across the Atlantic. Along with the classic pub facade, the all-wooden bar, and the dark lighting, this pub has also combined some American feel to it with regular football and baseball matches being shown as well as serving a wide variety of American cuisine that you'd only expect from a place like this.... more
Lots of polished wood and Victorian style impart character to this traditional Irish pub. The large place also gets punctuations of stained glass, a fireplace and private booths. Sixteen beers are on tap, including Guinness and Kilkenny. Bottled options and liquor are also available, along with a menu of pub fare that'll have you doing a little jig yourself. Live Celtic music finds its place... more
