Conveniently close to Calgary’s cultural district, Stampede Park, Telus Convention Centre, and Stephen Avenue shopping. Easy access to public transportation to explore all Calgary has to offer. Stop in for a drink in our lounge or a meal in our bistro. Ask us about our daily specials
A little off downtown's beaten track, from the outside, Delta's Bow Valley property looks like a fairly generic business hotel. Inside, the Bow Valley is a quiet oasis of soothing calm just outside the main bustle of the city's constantly churning core. The rooms, all renovated as of 2007, are generously sized, and the location, along the Bow River, is a peaceful choice for someone who wants to... more
We stayed 2 nights here, as my husbands Christmas staff party was held at a downtown location, close by. Check in was quick and efficient, and our room with a king size bed was roomy, clean, and had a contemporary decor. The bathroom was quite large, as far as hotel bathrooms go. We were tired, and decided to eat in the hotel, rather than go out. My husband enjoyed the soup, and I loved my... more
The staff is super nice, the bedding is terrible!!
Just up for a quick weekend...convient location, comfortable and contempory, staff was kind and friendly!
Staff very attentive to needs. Valet parking was quick and courteous. Housekeeping checked back to make sure I had everything I needed.
We were very happy with this hidden gem, they made us feel like royalty. We got a good room with a view of the city without breaking the bank, the staff were truly amazing and made this whole stay very worth it.
Like underground parking. Room fresh and clean and heating cooling system very responsive.
We just stayed one night in order to go to a concert. The proximity to the Saddledome is great. I hadn't noticed the underground parking fee when we booked online, so be aware of that, and it seems to fill up pretty quickly. The rooms are a bit tired, but clean, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable!
We arrived Friday evening and check in was quick and easy. We paid to park underground and drove right in. We stayed two nights and had to get both our room keys reactivated on the Saturday, but the staff at the front desk did this quickly. We also had to get our parking pass reactivated as we got an "invalid" code when we tried to leave. Again the staff did this quickly, and had remembered me... more
Staff, service, the room and location were all great. Actually the staff were above great, with the concierge offering to come up and show me how the hairdryer worked (in my defense it was confusing). My only complaint was that the fridge stopped working - obviously no ones fault, and they sent someone up to fix after I reported it.
Used this hotel as it is close to downtown, restaurants and easy access to number one highway. I also had gift cards given to me that I wanted to use. When I checked out the hotel desk clerk said that the room was already paid for and would NOT reverse the charges to enable me to use the gift cards. I was disappointed as this is the MAIN reason I had chosen a Delta hotel.
Brunch was very good, vegetarian choices were readily available.
Great Hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and well kept and the rooms that face North offer beautiful views of the Bow Valley and river. Bathrooms could use some updating and layout changes but were still very clean and functional.
Downtown but close main arteries. South facing rooms have great views. Parking is expensive
Hotel was alright. Parking is all underground with a clearance of only 6 feet tall so if you drive a truck you have to park in a un secure lot down the road from the hotel. Room was ok. Curtains were stained and the bathroom could have been cleaner. Overall not too bad.
Good hoyel i loved the starbucks coffee overnight lol
The only problem was with the clients staying down the hall form my room, there was a group that made all kinds of noise from early evening to 0400 in the morning I complained to the front desk the first night and was addressed by hotel staff smartly, the second night did not bother. All in all a good stay.
My wife and I lucked into a day-of-travel sale while the hotel tried to offload some empty rooms. In/out privileges in the parkade (the hotel stay provides a discounted rate for the parking) at a great location in downtown Calgary. Great shower, very clean room, and friendly staff throughout. Surprising amount of noise bleed through the door from the hallway, and the mattress's sag suggested it... more
I was very disappointed in my stay. The bathroom was not clean when I arrived. I found hair in the bath tub and fingernails on the floor. The room phone and clock had an inch of dust on them which made me wonder what else hadn't been cleaned. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but even after I asked for my bathroom to be cleaned again, they did not clean the finger nails on the... more

Everybody was friendly and helpful!!! Enjoyed our breakfast in our room it was there right on time and fresh
We spent 2 nights in this hotel. The facilities are adequate and it is in a good location on the river and walking distance into town. Hotel staff were OK and tried to be helpful, but not very knowledgeable. The concierge recommended a most awful pub for us to have lunch, and his directions were vague so wasted time getting there for nothing. However, the price was good and they also provided... more
We had a great stay start to finish, the rooms were lovely and the staff were very friendly.
Modern hotel, comfy rooms, very clean, friendly staff. Only downside is pay for parking but that's par for the course downtown.
Despite a very busy long weekend we were treated with efficiency and courtesy by the staff from the moment we entered the parking lot to the moment we left. Parking was very limited, we were fortunate to find a space. Upon entering the hotel, there was a long line up at the front desk but it moved pretty quickly. We were given a choice of view, city skyline or the river. We chose the river and... more
I was very pleased in every way with this hotel. This is now my go to place when I come to Calgary.
this is a good hotel for a business trip or a launch point to visit banff
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel is situated in downtown business district and close to Bow River and riverside park, Chinatown and a variety of eateries. Room spacious, clean and quiet. Restaurant and staff - excellent
We arrived at the hotel late due to delayed flights because of weather. The staff were nice and friendly and met all needs.
The check-in process at the hotel took at least 15 minutes - way too long considering everything was pre-booked on Expedia. Also, mixed reviews for the concierge staff. One was knowledgeable and helpful. Another gave us wrong information about a bus tour of the city, insisting it was not operational that day, even though we later learned it runs 7 days a week. On the positive side, the hotel is... more

Great choice for downtown location at affordable price. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We had a pleasant stay there. I definitely recommend Delta.
Carpet in the room was wet in one spot. Long hair on my towel and in bathtub. Area where I put down my suitcase smelled like puke.
The delta bow valley, rate in my top 5 hotel choice. Was one of the most comfortable place I've stayed so far. Good service and great rooms. Most comfortable bed I've been in so far. Also great view from the room. Would recommend this to anyone
First off I have to say the meals were outstanding. The chef and service staff at the bistro are in a class of their own! The evening meals were superior. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. There was quite a layer of dust under the desk and bed area. Also, in the bathroom under the sink area. The beds and linens were very comfortable. My son has bad asthma so it was a little... more
We were staying in a 2 queen bed room, booked for 4 people. We requested a cot in the evening, waited an hour and a half, called the front desk again to request it again. 20 minutes passed then the front desk phoned and said we could not have a cot because there were already 2 beds in the room. With 4 people booked to stay I feel it is unreasonable to assume everyone is comfortable being forced... more
The only positive thing about the stay is the bed, it was very comfortable. There was no mention of the parking fee involved and there was no provision of any breakfast.
Had stayed at the Delta in July. We're going on a long weekend business holiday and had no question as to where we would stay.
Nice Hotel. Great Buffet. Good value when booked through the group I used. Will probably do this again in the future.
Enjoyed a really comfortable two night stay at the Bow Valley. The hotel is situated perfectly downtown, the rooms are comfortable, the leisure facilities are great. The pool was freezing cold, which kept kids out, which is a bonus, I guess. My only complaint was that both my room keys were deactivated during the last morning of my stay which meant I couldn't get back into my room after a... more
Had a great weekend at the Delta Bow Valley. Good location for enjoying down town Calgary. Rooms are very nice ab the bed are comfortable.
The last time I stayed here, renovations were underway and I must say that The improvements to the hotel are outstanding. The general feel of the lobby has improved and the rooms are very comfortable and attractive. Very comfortable beds and good air quality, which is important to me. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends. I had ordered room service right before the fire alarm... more
Apart for the hostel and dropouts everything was fine
It's the same old delta bow valley. Nothing has changed except the grout in the tile gets dirtier. It's starting to really show it's age, ripples in the carpet in the halls. Lots of scrapes and scratches on the walls. Nice to see they cleaned the tile up in pool area. I paid through Expedia but ended up with three separate transactions posted on my credit card totalling an extra $250 for some... more
We had a great experience in this hotel! 30 years ago, we had our wedding reception here and found that the quality of the hotel was still the same and the staff are extremely helpful! The location, in downtown Calgary, is excellent, the beds are very comfortable and the views are breathtaking! We would recommend this hotel to everyone!!
I spent one night there. Check in was efficient, room was good, clean, etc. Location is good.
First impression was of a tired hotel with floor coverings worn but perhaps due to winter conditions! Pleasant greeting and talked into a $40 / day upgrade (higher floor and buffet brekkie). Room OK and comfortable with free Wi-Fi and a fridge albeit $20 a day extra for parking! Expensive overall for what you got but we did get the tail end of the Stampede weekend. Short walk to town centre and... more
It was pouring rain when we arrived, so we really appreciated the covered entrance and the underground parking. Our room on the 15th floor had a lovely view of the Bow River and the green hills rising from the Centre Street Bridge. It was the perfect location to watch a prairie thunderstorm.
Good location in calgary downton but during weekends everything near is quite closed.
This hotel is 10 minutes walking to the restaurants and shopping in downtown. The hotel staff is great. The parking overnight and including next day was only around $14 with in and out privileges. You can choose to go directly to the parking garage and the entrance has the instructions describing what to do if you are checking in. We... more
We stayed here last month because we had a social event to attend in Calgary. I picked the hotel due to the proximity of where the event was held. This was my third time staying at the Delta, and quite possibly the worst. They seemed to have some sort of school convention going on at the time, so it was very loud and perhaps that's why we were put on an underused floor...but even so the state of the room was pretty horrid. The moment we walked in I... more
Was here on business rather than vacation.

I stayed for 3 nights at the Delta Bow Valley in downtown Calgary. Calgary hotels must have been close to capacity as they all were very high priced the nights that I needed to attend meetings. We stayed at this hotel for one night as a stopover after driving the Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Banff.
It was clean and comfortable, even though we did not have a lot of time in Calgary.
Handy to downtown Calgary.
Stayed for a week of R & R. The staff were great. Thank goodness the restaurant reopened for evening dining on the last night of our stay. Evening dining in the noisy lounge is not relaxing at the end of the day and the food definitely not as good as the restaurant - one out of three meals from the... more
stay here a lot last year, this is a great property in the down town core, its close to everything, the staff is friendly couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The room was awesome, as was the pool area. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

My fiancée and I came to Calgary to find her wedding dress and needed an affordable room for the night, but not a c@!p hotel. We're very happy to get into the Delta for a great deal, comfy bed, A/C, Starbucks on site. Would stay here again. Highly recommended.
This hotel is a little dated and it is located on the outskirts of downtown, probably a 20-25 minute walk from bankers hall. Its fairly dated and needs an upgrade. The lobby/reception area is not well designed and prone to overcrowding. The main bar is too small and poorly laid out. There are not enough elevators in service and again... more

The best part of the Delta Bow Valley is the staff! Fantastic people who live the 'how can we help' customer service attitude. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've seen. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.
I recently stayed at the Delta Bow Valley because I was attending a conference in Calgary.
The hotel staff were amazing! The valet was great. I left a suit in my vehicle, called valet to inform them and it was delivered to my room in minutes. Likewise, the room service team was outstanding. My order arrived on time with a...

This place is typical of what you come to expect when you spend a little more money than a three star hotel. Room is large enough and comfortable. Great hotel, pleasant and helpful people working there. Beds extremely comfortable. Hotel right in town. I ate at restaurants in town and at the casino. Only thing that would have made it better is if there was a dance club, although if I had tried, I could have found one.
My first trip to Calgary, we decided to stay at the Delta Bow Valley, which is not a chain we usually use.

Wonderful bed, comfortable suite, and the sheets felt soooo wonderful. Restaurant was pricey, and the menu was fairly limited. My salmon wasn't cooked, and when I sent it back I was offered a free dessert. (I don't eat dessert).I would go back if I could get... more

front desk was mis informed, gave us wrong bill, and wrong information about the restaurant ie told us there was no buffet, but there was a large buffet
The city police was shouting and nocking at the door next to us at 1.30 am.
It was scary and our sleep was distrurbed significantly.
Everything else was good but I would not advice the hotel to friends for the above reason.
Regards

Classy Hotel. Clean and comfortable. Great staff.

Glassware and cups were real glassware. I prefer the disposable type
sealed and wrapped. I don't trust cleaning staff to wash the others
properly. (As seen on Marketplace)
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was very easy to find, parking was very easy, and the facility was very clean and well kept. The room was spacious and very comfortable.

Didn't like having a separate elevator for parkng
Loved the entire place, room was fantastic and the staff were amazing, particularly a man in reception called Paul who was possibly the nicest most helpful person I have ever met! I am returning next week!

Nothing, it was great
The staff was awesome! Our check-in was very quick. The staff was very helpful with helping us with locations of places that were recommended by locals for us to go as a couple. We would definitely stay at this hotel again, Also has a great location in downtown calgary.
The hotel was very clean and the staffs seem quite willing to assist any way they could. Will definately stay there again and recommend the hotel.
Extremely good rate through Skoosh. Helpful staff - good parking in downtown Calgary. Full room service from morning until 11:00pm was great. Not fancy but comfortable. Would recommend.
Most Delta hotels have excellent bedding and Bow Valley was no exception. I love having 4 pillows to myself! In Calgary to attend a tax seminar, the location right across the street from the Harry Hays building was convenient. With the ++15 walkways connecting most of the buildings downtown, including the hotel, weather was not a factor for our pedestrian wanderings.
Perfect for a short stay, rooms could be a little bigger but it's perfect for a short stay and the price is good.
All the Hotels in heart of town are over $200 a night. This was about $250 with tax and parking included. But good Hotel and right in heart of city.
“This would be fine to a good 3 star hotel, there is no luxury and other than a pool and restaurants in the hotel it is no different than staying at a best western except the price is higher. The hotel staff were friendly. The shower and tub are dated. The fridge isn't even stocked, no robes old towels and the list goes on. For a 4 star hotel I expect more.”
The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The room was excellent...in-house restaurant serves quality food. The head chef during dinner, came to each dinner table and introduced himself. He took a lot of his time to explain to me about Alberta's pride in their meat industry. In all honesty, the prime rib was the best that I have ever had.I would not hesitate recommending the Delta Bow Valley... more
Excellent for a quick in and out business trip. Only a couple of block from a very large selection of good restaurants (heavy on Alberta beef) and this is good since the hotel restaurant is only ok.
Hotel personnel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Pulbic transit is only three blocks away. Overall excellent experience. Would stay there again and recommend to others.
The beds are very comfortable, does anything else really matter in a hotel?? They are all more of the same after a while... more
The hotel itself and the room were clean and and comfortable enough. The staff are very friendly too. However, on the first day the cold (yes, you read right) water in the shower wasn't working. It was fixed over the course of the day. Then, I got mistakenly woken up at 6:00am by a wrong number, indicating that the guest name wasn't verified when the room number was requested. When I tried to... more
“The staff were great. There was a problem with the elevators so they upgraded my room. The rooms were very nice, and it's conveniently located downtown.”
“Rooms were a little small but quite functional. Not as quiet as it could be as a lot of hall noise could be heard. However, very good location, especially for the price.”
“Very well situated in downtown Calgary, nice and friendly staff. Perfect place to stay.”
“We were very pleased with the amenities at this hotel. The bathroom had lots of counter space. Friendly accommodating staff moved in a cot for us. The only problem was the noise from emergency vehicles through the night even though we were on the top floor. We had a great view of the flame on top of the Calgary tower.”
Excellent accommodations, comfortable beds, convenient location, and superb service makes this one of my favorite hotels to visit.
Second time I've stayed at the Delta Bow. The staff is very friendly and the room was great, especially the exceptionally comfortable bed and big down comforter. Definitely will return and highly recommended.
Lovely hotel, and especially attentive and pleasant staff. We had a room on the 19th floor, with a fine view of the river. The bellman was especially helpful getting our gear into the room, and providing directions to get to the places we wanted to see. The hotel is in the City Center, very near to a wide variety of restaurants.
