Spent two nights in St. Catharines looking around the city and visiting family. The hotel is very conveniently located at the Lake Street exit of the QEW, and so makes a great base of operations. Room comes with a small kitchenette, free wifi, and access to an EXCELLENTLY fitness facility. We'll come back next time, too!
Clean, quiet, just off hwy, but you must exit the hotel to get to the restaurant. Room was very drafty therefore uncomfortable. Heater/fan would not stay on desired setting.
We enjoyed it very much, and found it relaxing and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hotel was okay if you're in town for a tournament or to visit wine country. The faculties need upgrading. No on site restaurant or bar but Perkins Restaurant is next door. The staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean. So if you are looking for just a place to sleep with your entertainment elsewhere, it's a good spot to stay. Rates were reasonable.
we were not there long, just to sleep. it was clean
Friendly staff, comfortable room, good service. Restaurant located on site is nice and affordable.
Single female, felt safe. Very comfortable. I would stay here again.
Busy travelling to places in which the choir was performing, and visiting old friends from the 1960's.
easy on off tramp to QEW. Restaurants within walking distance...indoor pool ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.............................................................................................................. more
It's now Sunday evening, 19:42 & since we returned to our room at 17:45, the young drunks are screaming, yelling, slamming doors & running up and down the hallways with their bottles of beer in hand. Lovely place, this. Aside from the local drunks, this hotel is dingy & very well worn. The chair in our room came apart in... more
My wife and I stayed there for two nights during a business trip combined with a quick visit to Niagara Falls (our first time). On arrival we were greeted by the Front Desk Agent on evenings (Debbie? Dorothy?) who was very accommodating and helpful in addressing our need for two bills to cover both the business and personal parts of... more
An average hotel. No frills, but you get what you pay for. Staff are friendly though. Good location along the highway with easy, convenient access to the town and the Niagara region. Though we didn't eat near there, there's a good number of family restaurants in the area.
Why pay "chichi-poopoo" prices in Niagara-on-the-Lake when you can enjoy reasonably priced accommodations that are just minutes away from everywhere you want to be. Ample parking, easy to get to, not too close from the highway as to hear the cars rushing by... Windows that open, clean room and comfy bed. Would go again when in St-Catharines... Hope this review... more
I was a little concerned after reading some reviews but the rooms were clean and recently refurbished. No complaints at all and the staff was great.
This time of the year accommodations to Niagara on the Lake are very pricey but just staying outside of the area Days Inn was very reasonable for a two night stay. Location off the highway makes it very accessible. The staff at the Days Inn are very friendly and very accommodating. Rooms are clean as well as the bedding. Beds... more
Although Scott wasn't helpful and flippant over the telephone when booking and thank goodness he wasn't there when I checked in or out ! For the price it was good and clean ! I was surprised as most of the reviews were dreadful in general relating to all Days Inn in general. For a quick weekend stop it was fine.
Back in December I had to move my 85 yr old father to BC just after my mom passed away. He was scared and very hard to deal with. If it wasn't for Kevin at the front desk, I don't know what I would of done. He was my angel. Kevin went above and beyond to help me with my... more
I have stayed at this hotel many times and I always look forward to my stay. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They are extremely friendly and efficient, and they go out of their way to help make my stay the best it can be. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the service is great--What more can you ask for?... more
I recently booked at this hotel for my sons hockey team and would highly recommend you stay there. The staff was great, especially dealing with 14 10-12 year olds!! They were very accommodating! Special thanks to manager Debbie!
Front desk and area clean, doing some painting to upgrade. No issues with staff, friendly enough and helpful when you need something.
Room a little tight with 2 adults, 2 kids under 12 (we have the 2 queen bed room) and our pet cat but its do able especially because we are here long term and these rooms are meant...

.Great service for check in. Clean. No issues experienced. Call to main booking to confirm late arrival which worked great. A/C a little noisy but overall a good stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Driving up to the hotel, I was a little worried about what we were in for. The outside was pretty rundown. I generally research hotels very thoroughly before booking. This time, however, as part of a group the hotel had been chosen for us. We were pleasantly surprised upon entering. The lobby was clean and relatively modern. The front desk... more
Positives - the location is perfect for a fishing excursion out of Port Dalhousie, hotel is close to restaurants (Kelsey's) and a Shoppers Drug Mart, sleep quality was okay and the beds were comfy for a Days Inn
Negatives - Hotel is dated and needs some TLC however everything worked! Cost of the room was over priced for the area,...

My boyfriend and I stayed here Saturday night. The room was clean and tidy. We went to the pool, there is also a sauna. My boyfriend enjoyed the pool and was really excited about the patio with monkey bars, an obstacle course and various crossfit type equipment. He went to explore it but we noticed the next morning that you... more
We returned from a wedding reception about 10:30 p.m. and found a man leaving our room and our room keys did not work. Front desk said it was a "glitch" - we are fortunate the person mistakenly given the key to our room was an honest guy and didn't rob us. I mentioned it when we checked out and didn't... more
If you are touring the Niagara Region whether it be the numerous well known local vineyards or the world renown Niagara Falls, this hotel is situated in a great location (right off the QEW), within a short driving distance of all the tourist attractions. We arrived earlier then we expected with the hope that we could check in because we... more
This hotel was excellent. We were stating here and goin to niagara on the lakes wine and herb tour. It was the same price for 2 nights here as one night at most other hotels. The staff let us change our skoosh reservation from Saturday and Sunday to Friday and Saturday so we could go to a funeral on Sunday. This is the sixth year in a row that we stayed here and we are coming back next year... more
We had come here to visit Niagara Falls and stayed in this hotel for two days. Though it was located a bit far away from the falls, this is a decent small hotel and suits well for families unless one wish to stay near the falls. The hotel has many good restaurants for breakfast and dinner located just adjacent to... more
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. They have an excellent gym which we found to be the best part of the stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable but nothing fancy or upgraded.
The location is great, right off of the QEW and there are tons of shops nearby. The rooms seem to have been renovated within the last five years, but alas, they still have CRT TVs. There is free wifi but no free breakfast. A Perkins restaurant is attached to the hotel. I preferred going to the Tim Horton's that is... more
Our spring hockey team stayed here for a big tournament and we really enjoyed the comforts. The pool was smaller than most, but worked out great for the kids. Housekeeping was so helpful and went out of their way for us. My son thought he lost his ipod touch and when I called from the rink to the hotel to... more
I requested an early check-in. Since it was Easter weekend, it was understandable that the staff wasn't able to guarantee that there'd be a clean room but Debbie said she'd do her best. When I arrived at 11:30 a.m., a room was available. I was extremely grateful, as I'd travelled for four hours and needed to change and freshen up... more
My husband is from St Catharines and we had a funeral to attend. I had seen the Days Inn sign from the highway and I thought...good location, looks decent book it. I really cannot say enough good things about this hotel or the excellent staff members. We lost our house in a fire on Feb 20th and needed emergency housing. Guest manager: Doroti Kiprovska Bojceva and her Co worker Debbie were VERY helpful and arranged for a room for our family for a few days and then a suite with a... more
Days Inn was clean and comfortable. No problems at all. Staff were friendly, although they knew surprisingly little about Niagara Falls logistics (parking, directions, etc. -- the hotel is about 15 minutes' drive from the falls). I definitely recommend it and it is conveniently right next to the QEW highway.
I would recommend this hotel to others as it was an excellent value for the money - clean and comfortable. Wi-fi as expected and the in-room requisite coffee maker, but a fridge in the room was a great bonus. Only a microwave oven would have put it over the top. I was quite pleased with my stay.
The people at the front desk were excellent! They directed us to a unique park in the area that really made our day.
Hotel well located and was excellent value, staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly use this hotel again.
A standard older hotel upgraded in 2007. Excellent staff, clean rooms, typical size. New quiet heaters. Good bar/grill & full service restaurant on site. 25 minutes to Shaw festival. 30 minutes to 20 wineries. Always less expensive than nearby hotels. At least 8 restaurants within 10 minutes.
This Days Inn is very nice. Location Location Location! They are at a great spot if you do not want to be in the hustle and bustle of the Niagara Falls area yet you will be within easy driving distance of the falls...less than a half hour. There are super restraunts all around...you have to visit Port Dalhousie; it's just up the road and it's a charming little town. The hotel meets and... more
Comfortable rooms, great pool, well-informed and friendly staff. A hot tub would have been a nice addition.
Everything was fine.Breakfast is not available at this location.I stay at this Hotel often and enjoy the friendly and always helpful staff.i have recommended this Hotel to several people when they are staying in the area.
Stayed at this hotel the entire month of October due to my work. Painfully endured 2 weekends when kids hockey teams and their obnoxious parents would overrun the hotel. Kids are kids, drunk parents being disruptive was different. Some hotel staff were sympathetic, others not so much.
Became sick after the 3rd day there. Moved to a different hotel in...

My wife and I and, two friends from the USA, spent September 20, 21, 22 at the Days Inn in St. Catharines to be close to the various winerys during the Wine Festival.

Enjoyed our stay. Golfing twice, several wine tastings at Pondview Estates, Trewn Wines and Rockway Glen Wine Estates . Ate at Rockway Glen and Treadwell Farm to table. Breakfast at Perkins. Great location.
We stayed here this past weekend, and were happy to be just outside the craziness of niagara yet only minutes away. Beds were comfortable, and the room was clean, but what rates five stars were the people who work here. The manager, front desk, and maid services were the nicest and friendliest people, with helpful suggestions and always a warm... more
I booked this hotel for our soccer team for the Tiamo tournament its a great location, Montana's, Kelsey's and Perkins in walking distance plus the mall is also nearby as well. I recently stayed at the Days Inn in St. Catharines. The front staff was very friendly and helpful with getting extra towels and offering us breakfast coupons upon our departure. Decent hotel, but great location near mall, QEW and close to Port Dalhousie. Small lobby area, but new fitness center! This may be a plus to those who are planning on working out. Average rooms, balcony was a plus. Connected to Perkins restaurant, which has great food!
I recently stayed at the Day Inn in Saint Catherine's. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The staff at Perkins restaurant was efficient, but not very friendly. The... more
This was a nice hotel with clean rooms. It was a good price. There was a sauna and a pool. I slept well and had no problems whatsoever.
Our family stayed here for just one night while playing at a baseball tournament in Thorold. We booked this hotel because it was close, and had good reviews here...and we're glad we did. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
I stayed at the Days Inn for 3 days while on a business trip in the St. Catharines area. I picked the hotel because of it's amenities and location relative to the office I was working in.
Overall, the hotel was OK. Not the worst place I've ever stayed at. But, it is dated, in disrepair, and has a lot...

I visited the Days Inn St. Catharines, while I was on my way to Buffalo. I was flying out of Buffalo to go to Orlando and decided to spend one night in St. Catharines on my way to Florida. Stayed with a group and the hotel went out of their way to keep our rooms together, even with all of our requests! The staff were very pleasant. Loved having Perkins right there.
I booked the hotel because I thought it was the greates price for a very nice hotel (on the pictures). When my husband and I arrived there, we found out that everything that was told to us on a phone and what we booked was completely different. Instead of getting a smoking, king bed room for $110, we got a... more
After booking and paying in advance for a queen plus cot for two adults and child, we were told upon arrival that we had to pay extra for cot. We argued the point and were told that the hotel would pick up the tab for the cot. Not sure what the tab was for as it was paid for! Cot was not in room at 10 pm, nor extra towels etc for third party. We called three times and finally had to go down to... more
We actually got a better room than we paid for on line. Enjoyed having the Perkins restaurant attached.
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly. I do not recommend the sports bar in the hotel, we went on a Friday night and we were a party of about 10 people, it took them over an hour and a half for our food and the service was absolutely horrible. Other than the horrible sports bar, everything was great. I would stay there again.
We enjoy staying at the Days Inn. It is a convenient location with a great bar/restaurant as well as a Perkins restaurant.
Clean, convenient, and an excellent value for the money - just what I was looking for.
The location was very convenient to Niagara Falls and less exensive than hotels by the falls. The rooms were nice for this hotel category and the bed was comfortable. Overall I would recommend this to traveler on a budget. Would stay there again.
Was in town filming a wedding so I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a clean, safe hotel. My expectations were met. It was clean and inexpensive, and located in what I perceived to be a safe, commercial area. My one suggestion would be to have some better signage out front. It isn't abundantly clear that the restaurant out front is connected to the hotel, so I passed by it a couple... more
The night person (Mr. Gay) was not very friendly and would not listen. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone with kids.
We dealt with a very kind check-in clerk, although there were problems with our reservation. Our reservation had been made in advance through a third party website (Skoosh.com). I went to this hotel in May 2004 hoping that it would suit my needs. It did not. The pool was not very good at all and the fitness room was a bit of a joke. I could look past all of that if they had not ripped me off. I spent the first 3 night at a rate of... more
