Our downtown Edmonton hotel delivers on the Days Inn slogan of offering “the best value under the sun
For the price, this is one of downtown Edmonton's best deals. Located just a five-minute walk from the city center, the motor inn has everything you need for a pleasant stay, including comfortably furnished rooms and easy access to public transport. If all you need for a night or two is a clean and basic room in a convenient location, this is a top choice.
This hotel only takes credit card pre authorizations and payments. so even if you have already prepaid and explain your credit card number was stolen and can pay cash or debit, it's a no. The front clerk Ute, is the most rude, unprofessional person I have come across. Gave snarky remarks, facial experissions I could see, and didn't follow 'customer is always right'. The room was overall... more
The Doors on some of the rooms are not the correct length. They hang in such a way that there is a significant space between the bottom of the door and the threshold between the hallway and the guest room. This leads to significant light and sound being able to enter the room. It makes the stay feel unsettling and gives the impression that there is a lack of security.
I frequently stay at this hotel when traveling on business. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Location is central and convenient for my meetings. Front desk staff for the most part are friendly and hospitable and helpful. Noise from loud voices in the hallways is sometimes an issue as many groups appear to stay here. The elevator is small and shaky. There is also a convenient... more
Lovely hotel, rooms clean, located downtown edmonton. Has restaurant in hotel, very good service. Covered parking for cars
Extremely poor beds - worst experienced in years. Poor HVAC, very uncomfortable. Very outdated washroom.
Hotel was old and freaky! Non of the doors in the room closed properly. The elevator seemed like it was going to break. Hotel had a funny smell. Staff weren't very friendly.
The staff was ok to deal with. The room was really hot; I had to shut the heat off and open a window and was still warm. I was a little upset that there was not a fridge in the room. The entrance to the parking area did not work well; I had to try my card several times. Room was quiet and other guests too. I was in Room 229 and the toilet ran all night. That should be fixed.
For the amount I paid, it was satisfactory. Wasn't totally amazing, but it was comfortable and affordable.
Good experience albert restaurant serves good food
Old hotel. No window view . No air. Had to get fan from front end. Staff were friendly and helpful. You only get that you pay for.
Front counter built for very tall people - parking entrance always blocked by new people checking in. Restaurant only open from 7:00am to 2:00pm. Will never stay there again.
Room 347 is over one of the spot lights on the front of the Hotel. We arrived late and once we were ready for bed, we pulled the curtain. The curtain did not seal the window and the light penetration from the spot light provided more than night light coverage for the room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the light in the room made it impossible for a good sleep. On the way... more
It was a good experience. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable.
was not told no elevator. the female who booked me in made it sound like it was my fault that i was notified i said no ,i then checked my texts and messages and there was no message, then got huffy and me feel like i was not telling the truth .if i could have got a refund i would have left
You can tell the hotel is older, but the rooms were clean and staff were great!
Very relaxing although beds were a little hard and pillows too fat.
Basic facility with good price value for location and comfort.
It was just barely ' okay '. Very noisy, the room was cold, even after I asked for a change to be made in the temperature. Unfortunatey we gave them 5 nights of money.... and was very uncomfortable as it was always very chilly in the room. Housekeeping was great, the room was clean.
We stayed there on the first weekend in September 2014. The hotel was very clean and nicely maintained, the staff very nice and accommodating, within walking distance of much of the downtown areas. Cannot beat this place for a quality place to stay in that area at a reasonable rate. Have stayed there in the past and will do so again in the future.
I needed a place for an overnight (arrived on late flight, and had an early morning meeting) and so all I really wanted was something downtown that was clean and inexpensive. The Expedia reviews were generally good, and so I took the chance. Although the room was basic, it was a great night's sleep and the best value for the money.
I needed a place to stay downtown and got a room here, it's in a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was immaculately clean and very comfortable, For its price is a bargain
There is no heat in this early autumn. I waken up in freezer? Only one elevator and that one was out of service for all the time I stay.
the area was great the cleaning staff were great the maintenance of elevator was poor and front desk staff gave issue with booking hotel through hotel.com. They would not accept my debit visa and said there web page says so well sorry if your going to use web engine searches then best clear that up with the web page because hotel.com had no issue in taking my money. I ended up having to put... more
Love stay at this hotel everytime i in the city ... Hotel close everything in downtown area ..
They booked me on the 4th floor which is the top floor and neglected to tell me until check in that the elevator had been broken for several days. It was quite an adventure to find me floor as well. I won't stay there again.
L'ascenseur était en panne depuis plusieurs jours et pendant tout notre séjour. Literie peu confortable, à changer, cuvette au milieu.
By the time we got to the hotel the elevator had been out of action for four or five days and still was unavailable five days later. No refund was offered for the inconvenience. Also the noise in our room from the ice maker down the corridor and the air handling u it was so noisy that we had to buy earplugs I order to get a decent night sleep. We don't plan to use this hotel again
We stayed @ Days Inn Aug 16th. The elevator was down, which happens and wasn't going to be repaired until a weekday. The rooms and hallways were all very old and ugly. With that said, the bed was comfy, the room was clean, the price was low and it was close to where we wanted to be.
Elevator was broken, so we had to drag out bags around the parking lot and up a very old and narrow stairway. The walls were very thin and we could hear lots of noise in the halls and in nearby rooms when we were trying to sleep. Hotel itself is pretty old and it's shows, could use some updates. Parking lot and stairwells looks like places were preditors would hang out to catch prey.
I think it wasn't worth what I paid for one night... the elevator was broken, and we had about 6 bags to carry up five flights of stairs at 11 p.m. after a long drive. Nobody offered help, which I wouldn't have taken anyways but the fact of the matter is I paid 120 bucks to spend less than 12 hours in a room where we had to take the stairs not once but twice when the swipe card wouldn't work. I... more
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hallway was very noisy and the elevator was out of order, but we were notified of the elevator ahead of time. The hotel wifi was excellent.
This hotel was awesome, started before we even got there as they phoned and told us that they do a damage deposit which is refundable which is cool, but also that their elevator was being serviced so if we wanted to cancel it was okay...they also offered for us to stay on the 2nd floor, which we chose to do. It was very clean and quiet which was just wonderful, it is an older hotel but very... more
Although the room was always clean, the amenities and services are to be desired. The elevator was broken for three days and we had to drag our bags down the stairs. No help offered. The attached restaurant does not have any healthy food for breakfast - not even fresh fruits. We also found the stairwell door open to our floor for anyone to walk-in.
We were pleasantly surprised at the hotel's location, but when I went to check in, the person working the front desk was on the phone and was speaking quite rudely to a customer. I had to stand there for a couple of minutes to hear the employee basically call whoever was on the other line an idiot. We were then informed that the only elevator was not working and we were on the 3rd floor. The... more
Overall, it was a very good experience. The bed was super comfy and it had most comforts of home. The layout of the room was odd and the elevator broke down.. Those were the only issues.
Nice hotel, showing it's age a bit... room ok. staff very friendly and helpful. Appreciated complimentary wi-fi and parking !
Room was very clean, service was exemplary, parking was a little tight for our Chevy Avalanche but we fit. There was a definite vintage vibe in the hallways, and the carpet in the room was a little outdated but it was clean and still in good shape. Beds very comfy, A/C worked well. I don't know Edmonton enough to know if the location was very good or very bad, but it felt like a decent area.
I booked the room through Expedia at the last minute and then out from Saskatchewan and got to Edmonton at approximately 1 AM. When I arrived at the hotel they requested a 100 additional on my credit card. Because I had been traveling all week I had max out my credit card I offered him cash and the clerk stated that the hotel doesn't accept cash even though I offered 500 cash deposit. I... more
Visiting Edmonton nice place to visite. The hotel was ok
It's okay except that one day the toilet bowl was clogged and one of the housekeepers told me not to put women's sanitary napkin inside the bowl. .. I think she thought I do not know how to use a toilet! She could have been more tactful. I will not book there again. There lots of hotels to choose from in downtown Edmonton anyway.
Very good staff. Très propre et confortable. Rien a redire...je le recommande a tous mes amis. De plus, edmonton est une ville super!
This hotel is in a good downtown location. Check-in was pleasant and efficient. The hallways are nicely lit and the room was very close to the parking lot which was appreciated. The room itself is a typical hotel room, and it was clean and nice looking. It would've been handy to have a fridge. I found the bed a little uncomfortable. The sink area is outside of the tub/toilet area which is... more
The hotel is nice, clean and beds are comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. The only problem with our room was that the shower was horrible. It went from warm to cold to extremely hot all in 15 seconds. The pressure would drop as well. I would not return unless they put a new set of taps in this room.
Funny smell, nice staff, huge room, very clean, comfy bed, pretty quiet
I always book one type of room whenever I am in this hotel. This time unfortunelty for me the air conditioner was not working and at 30degrees outside makes it horrible. We moved to another floor but the room above us was pretty noisy until 930pm
The staff and service were good. But...because of the horrendous noise from the air conditioning roof-top plant, we had to move to a room at the extreme south end of the hotel. The continuous roar from the unit makes the northern end of the hotel (all floors) unsuitable for human accommodation. I kid you not!
I've stayed a couple of times over the last year. The hotel is very basic which is fine by me. The rooms are OK and generally the hotel has been quiet but it's the little things that detract. The elevator can be erratic, wi-fi connections are sporadic and slow, and when you need to print a boarding pass or map, the internet kiosk in the lobby often does not work. The attached restaurant is... more
Here for business recently. Place is older but Rooms are huge, its kept clean, staff are nice, all amenities there incl. restaurant on site and parking garage. One slow elevator and room cards need resetting often. price OK. Close to good pub around the corner. Quiet, good sleep. No view but that's OK.
The location was why I chose this location. The amenities were basic, and the room was a good size. The only problem was it was in Edmonton itself. I had a 3 day pit stop here, and while the location was perfect, there is very little to do in the area. The hotel itself though meets all expectations, with a... more
We stayed here in April, 2014, to attend a doctors appointment. Scheduled to stay initially only one night, our first impressions were a concrete block appearing building, which blended in to the downtown core. The front staff was knowledgeable, and we were told we could park in the parkade behind the building. The parkade is peeling and sagging in spots,... more
Not a great experience at this property. I travel extensively for work and stay at many different hotel chains. Cheap, clean, friendly staff, comfortable, great location... to be honest can't say any bad about the place, was really impressed, this hotel is proof that cheap accommodation can be comfortable and look good! A++
I've stayed at this hotel many times for the price, ease of parking, and downtown proximity. It's not super fancy but meets my needs. My most recent stay in early March, but because of the building's radiant heat system, i couldn not cool the room down at night even with the window wide open. It made for a tempermental sleep
Came here last weekend with some friends up from Quebec. Had quite a bit of difficulty communicating with the guy at front desk (extremely broken English, and I don't speak Mandarin) but fortunately there was a housekeeper who was able to speak fluent French and he was able to direct us to the nearest pub!! 4/5!!
I have to admit to having mixed feelings when I made my reservation at the Days Inn Downtown Edmonton. The opinions seem to be from one end of the scale or the other. I am happy to report my very good experience at this property. It was clean, quiet, friendly and well-situated.
The hotel is located just off Jasper Ave,...

Absolutely horrible experience... Booked a reservation with them via phone, and made sure to specify we would pay with debit once there and that that would be okay. We left our credit info with them so they had it on file, but they reassured us that they would accommodate.
We took at 16 hour Greyhound, and once we finally got there, they told us we could not have the room as our credit card...

Great accommodation for a budget price. Problems: poor water pressure - changing the shower setting helps - and not much hot water. The thin walls/sound transfer. (Amazing how "intimate" you can feel with the neighbours). The cleaning staff also use the "air freshener" VERY generously, which isn't a good thing for comfort. Rooms are starting to be refreshed, which is... more
Really can't even reserve or check in to the hotel without a credit card? When will you people realize that a pre paid credit card or a debit card is actually just as good, if not better than paying on the never never? In order for a payment authorization to be approved on pre paids and debit cards you actually have to HAVE the money!
I am giving this hotel 4/5 stars not because it is the fanciest hotel I've stayed at but because for a clean, quiet hotel downtown on a budget, what more could you ask for?
The room wasn't anything special, the staff checking us in were clearly unhappy to be at work, parking was awful (although anywhere downtown generally is) there was one spot left when we arrived and we couldn't fit in it. Generally unimpressed, will never stay here again.
This was our free reward night and everything went well. The staff made our stay very enjoyable, accommodations were great.
The rooms were clean, the lobby was pretty and the beds were NOT too hard. I found them comfortable. Pillows were great and bedding was cozy. Would definitely stay again. Price was beyond reasonable and half price of other places I have stayed at within a few blocks of this location. They also did not charge me an extra day... more
liked the hotel, parking was ample, service was great. I did note a strong perfumed air freshener had been sprayed overkill in the elevator. With a discount rate through my union, this will be my go-to hotel from now on.
On arrival we were told rudely that our reservation (which was already paid for) would not be accepted due to international credit card (MasterCard). The front desk lady (Ute) was more than unhelpful, she was nasty and rude and is not well suited to customer service! We will pursue a formal complaint and will no longer use Days Inn. Avoid... more
When we checked in we were given a card to put in the window of the car stating that we had removed all of our valuables from the vehicle. We took everything into our room to be safe but it was an uneasy feeling that something could happen to our vehicle during the night. Everything was fine in the morning... more
This property was chosen because of it's handy location near where I was working for 5 days. The location was great to get around downtown, but other than that, I would avoid it like the plague. Poor room cleanliness, old carpet, old beds, loud air conditioners, and an otherwise unenjoyable stay.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the the wifi was reliable in our room. I also like the location of this hotel. The elevator was smaller than usual, but we simply took the stairs. We would come back if needed.
The hotel is located right at the heart of downtown. It isjust off the main street which means it's quieter than those on the main drag. The rooms are clean though slightly small. The service is professional and cordial. They also have laundry machines at the hotel though I didn't use it. No breakfast is included but a huge Tim... more
Horrible!!! I can't believe I am stuck here for two nights :( if I could leave now and find another hotel I would!!! So not impressed!!!! I'm not a picky person and maybe I just got a bad room but I am really not enjoying this at all.
There's just one guest elevator in the whole building! I personally think the building need renovations but overall the room was neat! Love the way they fold the towels. The first time I went there there wasn't any shower curtain, so all the water will spread on the floor, however I noticed some changes made and they are improving everyday! I would recommend the hotel, centrally located, but it... more
Because I had a downtown appointment, the Days Inn was really convenient for me, and I find it to be a pleasant and reasonably priced accommodation. No fitted sheets, so always having to readjust sheet that was too small to tuck in well under the mattress. Air conditioning was off in entire building on the second night
We have stayed at this location many times and have had very minimal problems with the facility, staff or service. we would certainly recomend this location to anyone.
My wife and I needed a room for one night in downtown Edmonton to accommodate an early morning appointment. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was quite large, very clean, with a great mattress. Parking was included and we were told that although checkout was noon, we could leave our car there beyond noon. It was a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the subway station--that... more
When we arrived we were informed the one elevator available in the hotel was out of service and would be for an extended period. We had to carry our bags to the 4th floor. I have stayed at this Days inn many times but haven't reviewed it before. It's always been a clean and friendly hotel. Conveniently located downtown. Not much to complain about at this... more
My girlfriends and I decided to stay at the days Inn for a night out in Edmonton a few weeks ago. Hotel offers great value and the rooms where nice too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient hotel in the area, lots of restaurants nearby
This is a hotel in downtown edmonton that is worth every penny. The hotel is situated downtown, but not too close to Edmonton City Centre (10-15 min walk), so it is relatively quiet. It is also close to the LRT station, making it easy to travel around. The rooms are very spacious, and each bed has up to 4 pillows... more
Ultimately there is only so much you can do with an older structure and floor plan, but this hotel is in serious need of an upgrade/update. Other than that, decent value, location and efficient staff
If you're looking for luxury, try the Matrix on the next block... this is your bargain basement hotel complete with free parking and centrally located. Quality of the room was good. Needed new coffee maker; it was replaced within five minutes. Breakfast was excellent; front desk service was excellent. Very happy Aussies.
This hotel is the worst I have stayed in. There beds are like sleeping on the floor (hard as a rock) there was no fridge no microwave. Hair in the bath tub and the shower goes cold and hot so I do not recommend this hotel. Unless u want to feel like a street Pearson who got a chance to sleep indoors.
The location is great, just out of the downtown core traffic and noise but within walking distance, but the room I was given was across from a ventillation fan that ran all the time, got very noisy in the quiet of the night. The hotel was not full so I could have been given a quieter room at first. I... more
Quite the experience on this one. First of all the entrance to the parking lot is set up in such a way that vehicles are easily boxed in by other people entering the garage. The location is excellent, the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is pretty good for the price range. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and there was a decent shower in the bathroom. Not the greatest of locations, but perfectly acceptable.
Cheap place to stay. No amenities or free breakfast. Good place if you're just visiting edmonton. You need to have a car rental or a friend in order to go to different places.
Simple, basic hotel rooms. Clean. Parking included with the room. LRT one block away. WIFI always works, a bit slow but good enough for checking email and social networks. Have stayed many times. FYI be prepared for temperature fluctuations in the shower, anytime of day.
Overall a pretty nice hotel, my only complaint was that you had to pay to use the business center. I was only there for one day and hadn't brought my laptop to utilize the free wireless access so that was kind of frustrating. Nice property though and friendly staff!
very good location, close to the downtown core, lrt station and walking distance to a variety of restaurants.
I have stayed here in the past , but never again. Bck in the 90's and early 2000's it was nice little spot centrally located, not flashy but clean, friendly, and didn't have a moldy stench. When we arrived the elevator was out of service but we could access our room from the upper parking level, well that can happen... more
I had flown in from Virginia Beach, Va. for a wedding. I'm not hard to please and for the price I expected it not to be a 5 start hotel but I did expect the elevator to be working and to have hot water. We had a wedding to get ready for the next day and I didn't want to... more

I stayed at the Days inn on the 10th of August for a weekend away in Edmonton. We were upgraded to a room with a king bed which was a very nice surprise. I stayed here in the summer after reading several good reviews online and in print for this location. Ive stayed at this hotel a few times while working in the area. The only downsides are a sketchy elevator and slightly out dated decor in the halls. Other than that, the beds are great, pillows are plentiful, and the hotel is located well.
I'll continue to stay here, and look forward to my next visit
Nice Hotel, aging a little, but the people care about keeping it up and running. I really really liked the staff. The hotel seems to be run by a team of people who care and want guests to enjoy their stay.I was there in the middle of a heat wave, and much of downtown Edmonton is a construction zone - this is not something that the hotel can do anything about.
Great location in the heart of DT EdmontonThe room was near an elevator and parkade so it got loud at night but would stay again if in different area
This is an older hotel but is clean and well maintained. Room was comfortable on the second floor but the air conditioner was quite loud.
The staff is not very friendly. They are not particularly eager to help you with anything to say the least. For example if you put the "Do not disturb sign" out, and then take it down and leave the room around 11am, don't expect them to clean up your room. When it rains water might run into your room. Staff usually responds by saying "the rain should stop soon". The fan in the bathroom and on... more

Upon check in front desk staff were very unfriendly. The rooms are not sound proof at all. We were placed in a room beside 2 stairwells and the elevator. I stayed here one night for business. The rooms are getting old and the hotel has a dated feel. It was clean and the staff were quite friendly. Good parking.
I had a highly unpleasant experience. The hotel is noisy and when asked the front staff to do something about the yelling and running around in the middle of the night the answer was: "there is nothing we can do". I had an early flight to catch the next morning and I had barely slept.
The recent stay at this hotel was pleasant, if you are there for work or a short period. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant, which was very refreshing ! Although the hallways look dated, the rooms are updated, very spacious and comfortable.

This hotel is small, but if you just need somewhere to lay your head at night, or just sit and relax, this hotel does the trick.
Its close to whatever you need, walking distance away. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. As long as my hotel room is clean, I don't care about the color or decor!
