Good Place to stay for Buisness Trip

Stayed for one night couple of weeks back and found reasonably priced, clean rooms, good customer service and the hotel provided a decent breakfast in the morning which was included in the room price.The front desk staff were very helpful. Thank you Mr.Usman and his team!!

Don't do it

We stayed here because it was close to where we needed to be for a family gathering and it was fairly cheap. I will never stay there again. Why?
1. It was dirty
2. It was old
3. There were ladies of the night working there
4. Nobody shut down the noise at 11pm

My job requires a lot of travel and consequently I stay in hotels very frequently. What sets the Days Inn Macleod Trail SE Calgary apart from the competition is the people who work there.
The management has always been extremely helpful and the front desk staff are courteous and professional.

Stayed here for new year. Great customer service. Front desk are awesome. Alwin helped us with all our needs and questions. Rooms are ok. Housrkeeping made sure rooms are clean. Would come back again.

Won't bother to go back

We had major bathroom issues with out room. If you are. Planning for any extended stay for business in South Calgary, you may opt for this hotel on McLeod trial. It's 2.6 Kim's from the chinook mall and has a good bar just besides. I stayed here for 3 weeks in January-February of 2014.

Over priced poor quality

Requested a cot which we received but no sheets when we called the front desk to ask for sheets were told that he was unable to get us any. TV channels were all fuzzy, the hotel is very loud, the lobby is very dirty there was an overflowing garbage in the lobby our whole stay. Would not recommend this hotel... more

Would not recommend if you have children

Some root beer spilled and we swiped it up with a towel. When they inspected our room for damages at check out they charged us $10.00 for the towel. The room had a horrible view of train tracks which kept us awake through the night.

Wonderful experience

I understand that the hotel has changed ownership within the last year. The fresh room (great bed !), breakfast area and lobby were clean and welcoming. The front end staff was second to none! Updated photos on the hotel are definitely needed - the changes are wonderful!

Very nice hotel

The room was very clean and a very good breakfast was furnished in the morning. We were able to do our laundry but the laundry facility was in another part of the building so it took many trips back and forth from where our room was located. The staff was very helpful on answering questions.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights while taking my family to the concert at the B.M.O grounds. Great location to access malls and the city downtown area. Staff were not attentive at all. When entering the bathroom in our room, I noticed a horrible smell. I discovered it was coming from the shower curtain. Condition of furniture was poor. Only chair was stained and dirty. Room that was assigned had a long stair climb and there was no elevator to service that floor making it very difficult for my elderly mother.

Basic but nice and clean

The staff were very attentive, and the rooms were basic but clean. We ate at the retaurant, and we were a very pleased with the food presentation, and the service. We were here at part of a large group, and we all had a good time.

Travelled here for a business function but was able to mix in some time at the Stampede as well. Location is a block and a half away from a C-Train station which can take you into the downtown core and is only two stops from the Stampede grounds, so very convenient.

Having read some previous reviews I was wary at staying at this hotel where our travel company relocated us to due to our original hotel being flooded. My fears were groundless. This older hotel has been revamped. The modern stylings help create a positive feel but it's still nothing more than an average hotel. My non smoking room adjoins a smoking room - yuck! The west facing rooms have a great view of the roof and MacLeod Trail.

No frills hotel, fantastic location for a Saddledome concert

Stayed at this Days Inn for a weeknight concert at the Calgary Saddledome. The room was average but clean and the customer service was helpful with directional advice and restaurant recommendations. The LRT is a block away and it's two stops to the Saddledome. Great sushi restaurant within walking distance too!

We had to be in this area for an important appointment. Very nice Days Inn. Spotless, comfortable and quiet. We actually have a computer in our room and there was no extra charge! We enjoy the location and amenities of this hotel, and have sent a note to corporate head office complementing the improvements made to the breakfast menu since our last stay. It is really a very nice hotel and a great value.

Highly Recommended

The hotel staff were very helpful and extremely accomodating. I was suppose to have checked out by 11 AM and I ended up checking out a little after 12 noon. But, I was not charged extra for checking out late.

The only good thing about the hotel was the receptionist we met the first day. She really did her best to help us out. Staff was friendly, but place was a little run down although room was clean. I had trouble getting hot water one evening and was asked to "let it run about 15 minutes" to get some. It only took about 5-7 minutes and then there was plenty.

Most things were pretty good, except the bathroom shower which was dripping water and took a long time time before getting hot water. Air conditioning too felt like it was blowing air at the same temp of around 65 no matter what you set the temp to. Otherwise the hotel was decent.

The carpet in the room was practically new. The linens were crisp, clean, and very white. Excellent price per night for a booming city. And breakfast included too! I would definitely stay there again.

It is a decent hotel.Better than staying in downtown. Bit pricey though. Parking will be a bit problem if u come late in the night. Other than that the receptionists are very nice and helpful. Room is good too.Recommend the hotel.

we thought everything was very good. the complimemtary breakfast was very good and had a good variety of food. i was surprised to see only 1 small coffee pot for so many people. other motels usually have 3 large coffee pots for coffee: one decafe, one regular, and one hot water for tea and hot chocolate. the rooms were clean and made up very nicely.

The exterior of the hotel is a bit dated. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The continental breakfast was quite good. The hotel is close to restaurants and shopping malls. Would recommend!

It was our first time in Canada, we stayed at the Days Inn for six nights we found the staff very helpful and friendly the rooms had everything you needed cleaners came in everyday really enjoyed it, would recommend the hotel also the hairdresser at the hotel was fab.

The location was okay but the service was poor for the money. For the continental breakfast you had to bring a coupon and 1/2 hour before closing they closed one of the breakfast bars. The apple juice was terrible - undrinkable, watered down so much. The rooms seemed dirty and the duvet was dirty. I was not at all impressed and would not stay there again if I am ever back in Calgary.
