Situé dans une somptueuse résidence du 19ième siècle, Ristorante Da Vinci allie à la fois le charme ... Bref, c'est mon avis et je le partage !
Nice ambience, great service, the main courses are quite pricy though. Delicious desserts. Bonne ambiance, grand service, les plats principaux sont assez chers par contre. Desserts délicieux.
restaurant sucked.....many restaurants out there at the same price that offer a better overall experience One pissed off motherf............... plus
The food was fantastic! They have a very distinguish flavor,
I used to travel to Montreal many times a year for work. Da Vinci's is my favorite. I love the ambiance and service. The food is amazing. Location is central. I changed positions and didnt get to go much for many years. I had Da Vinci withdrawals. Luckily, I was able to go back last month and Da Vinci's DID... plus
Great location in order to eat and get to the Bell Centre for events.
Osso bucco and seafood linguine were excellent. Waitstaff was very accommodating and helpful.
Extensive wine menu.
I patiently had to wait almost a week before posting this review as Tripadvisor has a 30 day minimum wait period for posting subsequent reviews. My other review of Da Vinci is 30 days old now titled "Homerun".
Last week my youngest Daughter turned 9 and I decided we should go somewhere special. My Girls like many others have travelled...

I was at Da Vinci the last weekend of May and I still salivate of the Osso Buco I ate there. It was just amazing. The portion is quite generous also. Nice wine list but a little pricey. My girlfriend had a gnocchi plate which was also excellent. Great service and atmosphere. Top classic Italian restaurant in Montreal. Highly recommended.
I hate to be a "Curmudgeon", I had a great night, but this wasn't it.
Sure the food was outstanding, cooked as well as anywhere, but the prices!! The cheapest bottle on wine was $65, some in the thousands, and not for anything great either. I know the price of wine here in Montreal, Da Vinci's markup is astronomical, and...

So many years i forgot that good Italian resto in Downtown Montreal. Food is good and the service is very good. I will go back soon with more time to enjoy the place.
My Wife and I rarely have the chance to go out for dinner alone or with Friends. So when finally a night became available, there was only one choice Da Vinci's.
Top of the line service and ingredients make this in my humble opinion Montreal's "número uno" Italian restaurant.
Our Friends as well loved it and there is something to...

This upscale Italian restaurant is just 2 blocks from the Bell Centre. We anticipated that it would be busy since there was a hockey game that night so we arrived about 5:30pm. We did not have a reservation and were fortunate that they were able to seat us because within 20 minutes, there wasn't an empty chair in the house.... plus
I'm an out-of-town regular for more than 10 years, come to Davincis at least once/year, always have a superb dining experience, the Scallops appetizer and Osso Bucco entree are to die for
This was one of the best meals ever. (as good as Bruno's in Venice or Spiaggia in Chicago) The service was amazing and every bite of food was unbelievable. It was very expensive but well worth it. At the end of our meal the owner got up from his supper, said thank you and shook our hands. The next time... plus
Went to DV's with the little lady and the son. Service was excellent, and very friendly. Menu is decidedly not your traditional Italian 'red sauce' style. Would check the menu beforehand to ensure you're not disappointed.
Food was very good - but not excellent.
Per the headline - not cheap at all! Wine was quite expensive; our $70 bottle would...

We had diner my wife and I on a quiet Monday night. Even if it was less busy , they made our diner a great experience and the food was very good.
We had a great time.
This restaurant was within walking distance of the hotel and we were looking for some italian food so we went there. The food was amazing and decently priced for a fancy restaurant. The wine list is extensive, and they do offer valet service ($15 fee though which is high). The location doesn't look like much from the outside, but is very pretty on the inside. The only complaint I have is with... plus
Food was great. It was a little loud - but not overwhelmingly so.
This evening was memorable - nice face to face with my spouse and great service until the place started to fill up. We were asked to change seat to accomodate a larger group and we agreed - we were about to order coffee & dessert. Then the wait started and everyone was taking care of the new customers - forget about the little couple - we had to ask for service all the way until... plus
Fantastic food and impeccable service. While this restaurant is on the expensive side, the food served is worth every penny. Their rack of lamb is amazing and their filet mignon delicious. Really, everything is fantastic.
I have eaten here several times and have never been disapointed! From the warm welcome when you first arrive, to the old school waiters that let you know what you should be eating, the place is a welcome refuge in Montreal!
Downtown located, parking on street is available if you are an early Diner kind of type (around 6h pm). In case you need it valet parking also available. From start to finish service is impeccable. Food is excellent, plates are not to full. Atmosphere is great and makes you feel like a millionaire. One thing I'm still not sure is... plus
Dined at Da Vinci recently with another couple. Food and service were excellent as always. A great upscale Italian restaurant with good prices for the quality and presentation of food. Highly recommend it. See photos attached.
Amazing, wonderful, incredible. Went with my husband & was charmed with the decor, the service, the food.
It's a bit pricey, but we were brought back to our trip to Italy almost 20 years ago. I swear they import their tomatoes. The gnocchi was astoundingly tasty. Wow. I would eat there again in an instant. It ranks up there with some of our most memorable meals.
A large group of us had a wonderful private seating area. Everyone was pleased with their meals which is rare with a large group. Brought back many memories of eating in Italy. Loved the Fish and Pasta Selections. Apps were salami and cheese platters and Dessert was Delicious an Italian pastrie icecream. Will def seek out this restaurant when visiting... plus
Choosing a Valentine's venue at the last minute and from out of town is a risky experience. We selected Da Vinci because it seemed intimate and refined. On arrival, it was somewhat boisterous and we found ourselves adjacent to live entertainment, so we moved upstairs where it was quieter and more personal. The special occasion menu did not disappoint--- amuse-bouches,... plus
Valentines day first seating. Service was poor. Waited 15 minutes for the server before having to pull someone aside to ask for service. Once we recived our appetizers, we quickly realized it was worth the wait. Nice atmosphere. My rating would be higher if not for the poor service.
We had dinner here some time ago, but wanted to give it a positive review.
The servers are very professional and do a great job. They are very attentive and work as a team to make sure your glass is never empty and you are not waiting for anything.
The food was very good and very well presented.

A week ago my family and I went to dinner and it was a bad experience for us. My girlfriend and I have had dinner here on a several occasions and I must say, some of the best dinners I have eaten. The Da Vinci restaurant is definitely a more upscale restaurant. Service is a bit old school but waiters are experienced professionals.
Great Italian food, with large variety of meat, pastas and seafood.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great experience.
Booked last minute for an anniversary dinner, and were readily accommodated. Friendly greeting at the door, and quickly seated upstairs. Decor, layout and ambience very nice, lending itself to intimate dining or large gatherings. Based on servers' interactions with the other tables, evidently many regulars frequent the place. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and very... plus
We were a large party of 10 and all had a fantastic dinner experience. I say experience because the staff made the evening so much fun. We let them choose food for us and we got to try lots of different things. Pasta dishes were wonderful--especially risotto. Two had a giant bone-in filet that was huge and delicious. I agree... plus
I went there while visiting in Montreal with some friends. We ate there the first night . It was amazing, freshest food I've ever eaten and cooked perfectly. Staff was very attentive and was very knowledgable. I would definitely
Go there again!
This is a fairly small and intimate restaurant. It was clear that many of the customers are regulars. It is easy to see why based on the food and service. We started with prosciutto, reggiano and aged balsamic vinegar. Excellent with the wine they suggested from their really extensive Italian wine list. Mains were braised veal shanks and risotto. Super... plus
Our party of four had a fantastic meal at Da Vinci's on Saturday evening, September 21. We were seated upstairs which was very pleasant and much less noisy than the main dining room.

A group of us ate here on a Saturday night. The service was excellent, but the food was underwhelming and overpriced. The risotto with shrimp scampi could be renamed "skimpy" as there wasn't much shrimp and only two thin asparagus. The sea bass, fish of the day, was also dry and plated with only three fingerling potatoes, half a roasted... plus
At 930 on a Friday night we were looking for something close to our hotel. Decided to take a chance and no regrets. Quite possibly the best risotto (with shrimp) I have ever had. In Montreal with my wife on a break from a week of family sadness and knowing our fondness for Italian food - a friend suggested we go to Da Vinci and forget the world for a while. We had a living social to eat a 4 course meal at Da Vinci and I can say it is the best meals I've had thus far in Montreal. Excellent service (even after I mumbled that we had a voucher!) and excellent food - the rack of lamb was so juicy, tender and well spiced. I will definitely go back... plus
Da Vinci seemed a bit of a snooty place where if you don't look like you have a lot of money to spend, that's how they'll treat you.

We had a living social coupon, we made reservations for 2 at 6, we arrived early and were seated with the restaurant not ready for clients as yet. They were very kind, super service, great wine suggestion. Everyone was very kind, and professional. We will most definitely be back.
After not having lived in Montreal for over a decade, we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Da Vinci's last Saturday night.

I received a Tuango coupon as a gift for this restaurant. Amazing service, very polite! The food was also delicious!!! I will definitely recommend this restaurant to people as I work at a hotel as a receptionist.
This is an outstanding restaurant, best restaurant that we found on our visit to Montreal. Atmosphere was ideal and wait staff was very responsive Best Italian meal I ever had ,deserts were die for!!!this has to be one of the best Restaurants in Montreal.
We went there with a Tuango coupon.
Our first experience was actually really bad because we had booked a table at 7.30 and when we got there no table was available so the guy (I guess the owner) kept us waiting. We just stood there for 30-45 minutes - no explanation, no compensation, and we just left because that person...

I had such high expectation and was so looking forward to go dine at Da Vinci . We tooK friends out for their 10 years wedding anniversary. Wow, what a great restaurant. It is a bit expensive but well worth it. From the appetisers to the main course to the desserts this place exceeded my expectations. My wife had the best Linguini Pescatore(43$) and I had the best Osso Bucco(41$). I can't wait to go back.
We had an amazing time at Da Vinci, our server Lavi Mainuddin was by far the best part of the whole experience. He was extremely knowledgeable of the wine and the food and knew would work best for our group of 13. It is expensive but it was worth every dollar. The detail and the quality of food was impeccable.... plus
Crystal chandeliers, crisp white tablecloths, attentive service.. dishes refined, pretty and very tasty. I liked the intimate atmosphere, elegant decor and Italian (not Italian-American) cuisine with some creative touches but classic still.
Our starters were the highlight, especially the outstanding, tender grilled lamb chops, and seared scallops were also excellent. Seafood risotto and shrimp...

The location in downtown is good because it is off the main drag and there is parking just across the street. The décor is warm, in good taste and conducive to impress. atmosphere is really good. The food was italien. I engoy my good time. I will recommand people to go there, if you want real italien food in Montreal.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal here from the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and bread to the tiramisu dessert.

The restaurant atmosphere and food were good but the service was plain awful. Throughout the night we had to repeatedly ask for more water. The staff kept pushing us to order more wine and desserts. My favourite restaurant in the city, I've been a loyal customer for over 17 years (back when they had a cigar menu). Their osso bucco is quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten. Their service is incredibly attentive and their staff knowledgeable. Their prices are high, but quite fair for what you'll enjoy. Good for a quiet, special night out.
If I need to take a customer to a high end, formal restaurant, I always go to Da Vinci. The service staff is among the best in Montreal, the food is outstanding and desserts even better! Good place for a romantic dinner as well! The wine is on the higher price range,as is the food, but the quality of the... plus
Classy, ritzy and intimate is how we would describe the setting at Da Vinci. It's the kind of place you would go to with your significant other or your parents on their anniversary.

New Year's Eve was going to be a time of celebration and from prior reviews, this restaurant seemed like a fine choice. However, my wife and I were severely disappointed by the quality of the food, the presentation, and the service.
There are many wonderful restaurants in Montreal and this one will not be a repeat performance for us.
Depending on what you are looking for, this restaurant could be a great choice.
If you are looking for excellent traditional Italien food, high-class service in a quiet bourgeois and very well trimmed atmosphere, then you will be absolutely charmed!
We found it a little on the expensive side for the value, but it does live up to it's reputation...

Great ambiance. The food was great. I started with the Mozzarella di Bufala followed by the Osso Bucco served on parmigiano risotto as recommended by our waiter Lavi. Both recommendations were delicious. The Osso Bucco was definely worth trying. The meat easily falls off the bone and it melted in your mouth. I tried the creme brulee for dessert and... plus
Simply the best Italian food downtown and great wine list.
Great food, great atmosphere, high price. Ate here on a business trip. The seafood pasta was excellent cooked in the traditional Italian style (light sauce with olive oil). The rest of the party tried the steal, tuna, and veal. There were no complaints. The wine list is good with options for all tastes and price ranges. Desert was also excellent with a sampler of canoli and creme brulee. ... plus
We had dinner in that restaurant in summer of 2010. The food and the decor were of very high quality. The wine was very good too. The place is good for a quiet conversation. The bill for two with wine was just about $90.
This place is pricey but for a nice night out from time to time the food and service is great. The atmosphere is not really for me, with the long tables and older crowd, nice for special occasions with someone special.
One of my favorite italian fine-dining restaurants in Montreal!
Service was impeccable, food was out of this world and staff was very friendly. Recomended to anybody who loves fine italian cuisine and a great service.
Worst food ever! The gnocchi was loaded with hot pepper flakes (the kind you sprinkle on a pizza) making the dish really uneatable. The risotto with vegetable…tasted like they were previously frozen. Wait staff has no class.
