A bed, but ...

I am surprized that Expedia has this hotel on it's list. It is very run-down. Caulking in the bathroom was used to try and cover the black mold. Towels and sheets were clean, but I just generally worried about walking on the carpets and the cleanliness of the the floor.

It was clean, quiet and had everything you need. Great location. Not to mention the manager was AWESOME!\n\nNope\n\nI have stayed here twice now, and would recommend it to anybody.

Not Bad

We leave there for 3 night. The room is old but because of the price, it is ok detail. The bed is really heard and comfortable, my husband and I did have a nice sleep. The second day there was no bath towel in the room that I need to ask for the front desk. the Third day, the glass is not clean, but put in back in the clean glass bag. But in general, it is not Bad

It was the lowest price hotel we could find, and it was only a 15 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.\n\nThe room itself smelled like it had been smoked in for the past few decades.

Clean and Affordable

Our experience with this motel was very positive. The staff were courteous and friendly, the room was clean and coffee was available in the morning. What more can a person ask for?

I think it was a god choice for what we needed. It was great for our budget and comfortably slept six, except maybe the 2 on the pullout couch. They said it wasn't terribly comfortable. There were several places to eat nearby so that was convenient, although late night diners might have fewer choices. I don't like to say bad things but this hotel was very bad the room was scary first glance was terrifying carpet was all stained could not take my flip flops off hair all over the bathro floor and on the bed the roof had water damage the WiFi was poor not much in the room no tolitries could not get ahold of room service when we got in room we were there late and needed a bed the one good thing... more

Hotel near SFU

Overall it was OK. I was disappointed that the plug-ins next my bed were not working for some reason. Also there were two light switches to two lights above the two queen beds in the room and they bother were unable to be turned on, so I was obliged to get out up and walk across the room each time I wanted some lighting, which should not be the case in a motel, hotel or anything designed to... more

Mountain biking was awesome

My son and I stayed here over Tuesday and Wednesday nights.This room was small and outdated but it was comfortable and clean and the location was pretty good . Breakfast down stairs at the diner was only $5 for hostel guests which was very satisfactory .

Not that bad....BUT

The hotel staff where friendly and nice but i noticed hair in my sheets and on my towels not to mention there was a musty smell to the room. I was a non smoking room between two smoking rooms which doesn't work lol. It is truly a BUDGET motel.

cheap for a sleep

Cheap for a sleep. Room had a stale odor. Very basic. Very dated. Very quiet 2 night stay. Good coffee, for free!

Good for people on a tight budget.

Bath tub needs attention. Really worn out. Shower did not function right. It turned on with the tap simultaneously. Lady at the front desk is very helpful n cooperative.

Glad under new management

The room was not very big but worked for our family. The room definitely needs improvement. There were clean beds, sheets, a newer TV, but very old stove, fridge, and walls needing repair and paint. The service was very good and the location was quiet. It was disappointing that the pool wasn't open. Once all the reno's are complete it should much better and will get a better rating.

our room smelt of cat pee and smoke. There was evidence that animals had been left in the room due to the scrape marks in the bathroom and the stains on the carpet. Alright hotel, you get what you pay for.

By no means a very clean hotel or accommodating, but if you need somewhere to stay and dont really care about your comfort it works great. That is what we were after and it worked just fine so we were happy.

Not like it

People smoking outside their rooms , the smoke drifted in. Would be nice to have a window in the main room that opens, Had to keep a/c on but not working. They need to supply clean dishes , coffee room was not what I had been told that I would get. No window in the bedroom and pull out couch instead of two queen beds i was told i would get. Bang for the buck

Stayed for 4 nights, mostly just slept at night. Got a double room and it was good, the room was spacious and had all amenities mentioned.

New owners working hard to remodel. The hotel is on the upswing for sure. Hotel staff are excellent .Over all a good stay good value for sure.\n\nIf you had to have a good value. This would be a good place to stay. The owners are trying very hard to correct the old problems.

We had a death in the family and we had people fly in to attend the funeral. They asked where they could stay and we suggested the Sleepy Lodge as it was close to our house.

The next morning our relatives had nothing AT ALL that was good to say about the place. They said the bathrooms smelt bad, had black mould growing in the grout in the showers and around the toilets.
