Strangely empty during lunchtime which is a bonus actually. In Yonge Lawrence area. Brushetta was divine. Halibut was to-die-for. Server said that fish was their specialty and our meals proved this. Highly recommend.
This North Toronto standby "consistently delivers" "traditional", "hearty" Italian offerings in an "old-school" setting that got a post-Survey face-lift, which may not be reflected in the Decor score; service also gets high marks, so it's an overall "reliable" choice.
We had an amazing dinner at Coppi for a friend's milestone birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. The ambiance was wonderful - it's a funky, cool, gorgeously decorated spot, comfortable chairs and stylish decor. We will absolutely return! BEST barley risotto I've ever had!! Very flavourful homemade pasta, and incredible Tiramisu. A MUST try!!!! terrific service... more
Dined in a group of four for their summerlicious menu. The portions were small (very), but tasty (very). I had the halibut and the size of the piece was 1"x5". I don't like feeling hungry after a meal, and I'm a 5ft petite female! I also tasted the risotto, which was made of a grain other than rice? It was strange.
Otherwise, the food was delicious and the service was quick and courteous.
very nice place, they have this biking theme going on. very Italian...they only have Italian beer! the food was good. not huge portions but enough to be full, not stuffed. its definitely quality over quantity which I like. service was fine.
There was one service man that brought the appetizer to us in a rude way. He put down the dishes in front of our faces like there are your orders. Eat it. It was such a terrible manner that we wouldn't come to this restaurant again or recommend it to a friend. This server should treat everybody in the same manner regardless their background. Too bad. The food was excellent
I had a great time! love the food and the service and was able to find Free parking easily after 6pm!
Food was excellent and despite a very busy night, the service was excellent As a destination restaurant or a neighborhood gem, it is well worth the visit.
Went to this place 3 times for winterlicious and summerlicious. Nice environment.
Good quality food and portion. However, read your bill careful, they provide valet parking $15 per vehicle. We didn't use this service but was automatically charged on the bill $30 for 2 cars. Gladly we spot it and asked for the revised bill. Not nice to put this...

My friend and I enjoyed the Summerlicious menu there on Tuesday. The main we had, lamb in a subtle yet tomato sauce, with linguine was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten Cooked perfectly!
Our first visit to Coppi was fabulous. Quirkily decorated with bicycle photos and scuptures, it has a warm, comfortable feeling with dark wood floor and lots of space between tables. Attentive professional service. Everything was delicious. We were there for lunch and will be back another day for dinner. Straight to top of where-would-we-like-to-eat list.
Coppi is a tastefully decorated restaurant. I was pleased to arrive with a sign signalling there was valet parking. The food was nicely played but overall was just okay, I wasn't blown away. Shorter darker skinned waiter didn't seem very knowledgable and seemed irritated the moment we walked in the door. I did not get a good feeling from his demeanour throughout the service. When the bill came... more
Coppi continues to offer fine food with a good wine list
The Summerliciuos menu is excellent
This is a good restaurant for a pleasant evening out. Food always delicious, well prepared. Service excellent. Wine selection very good. A good alternative to trudging down town for an evening out.
Coppi's summerlicious menu had more items to choose from than others, therefore we gave them a try. The hostess was very friendly and seated us quickly. When the two of us sat down, we told the waiter we would like some water. We ordered cocktails along with our meals when the server brought our glasses. The food was okay, but the service was not great at all. I can't help thinking that it's... more
We went for Summerlicious, wish we had ordered off the menu.. ; )
Food was good but server super casual and a bit condescending. Felt it was very pricey for the level and tone of the place. Valet parking a nice touch though. Probably won't go back and price means I wouldn't recommend it as a local eatery.
I just came back from having lunch there and had the fresh seafood pasta. Soon enough, I was greeted with amazing clams, mussels, scallops, squid and delicious shrimp all marinated in a appetizing tomato sauce and pasta. My friend has the crab stuffed ravioli and despite the modest portion, was very satisfied with the taste and the dining experience overall.... more

This venerable ristorante in the Yonge-Lawrence corridor has a long tradition of fine dining and excellent service. Fausto, the founder and ex-owner, named it after his hero and namesake, Fausto Coppi, whose face peered down upon lucky diners in the old days.
Sadly, Fausto the owner went back to Italy, and Fausto the champion biker's portrait was removed as part...

It was the first time my wife and I went there and we were very pleased with the food, service and the place. The neighborhood is also very good.
I recommend it.
Three of us headed out to dinner and I decided I was craving Italian Food. We ended up at Coppi on Yonge Street.
The interior is dark, wood finished and Coppi has a fairly intimate, adult feeling dining room. Children would not fit into this place. This is high end Italian. We were seated and ordered wine- the bottle of...

After hearing some raves from friends we decided to give it a shot. The food was fine but that's really the best I can say about it. Nothing was bad at all but not memorable at all.
Had dinner at Coppi on Saturday May 10 with family and had a wonderful time. We were sitted right away upon entering the restaurant and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The food was very good, the waiter very knowledgeable and the place very clean.
the decor is low key but interesting.
the service is very good.
we also go their annual truffle special in Oct-Nov.
The menu was nicely varied. The food was excellent and the fish and pasta were outstanding. They have an excellent wine list and the desserts and lattes were scrumptious.
We had a wonderful time and were thrilled with the service and over joyed with the meal. This added to the special night we were celibrating. We loved the 'forks' on the wall.
We made a last minute reservation for a Saturday night. Being seated upstairs meant it was very quiet which was nice. Food was great as usual.
I do not recommend this restaurant. The food was so salty. Could not eat it. The service was poor. The ambiance is cold and uninviting. The value is not there. Will certainly not return.
I have owned this unique place for 20 years...once a year, when I am in town coming from Italy, it remains my favoured destination...! Although the décor has changed to better and more open concept dining room, this is "still" the ITALIAN restaurant to visit in Toronto! Flavours and choice of ingredients are the exact reflection of any of the... more
Great Italian food with a really great staff good . Very good food and the story of the place is great enjoy la dolce vita
Great food and atmosphere! The tables were not close to each other, which was great. You didnt hear the other table's conversation.
The table next to us got the fish encrusted in salt. The whole presentation and serving process was interesting.
Will certainly come back to this place and try the fish!
Only downfall.....we were seated by the window and...

On a stormy night in Toronto, the restaurant was full, yet the service was great and the food recommendations and wine selection were terrific. Their Summerlicious menu is awesome.
Guests next to us had the house specialty - fish cooked in a sea salt hut. It looked amazing.
Family group of 7 ate here last night. A little noisy to start with but not a big deal. Very good service. Drink prices are quite steep but good quality wine and grappa. No draft beer but bottled Italian. We chose from both the summerlicious menu and the main menu, both had a variety of dishes of excellent quality though... more
Quality tasty food! Right portion even for winterlicious. Trendy enviornment, love the tables setting were not too close to one another. Love the steak, Tiramisu was excellent.
The service in this restaurant is what made me want to give it a 5 star. Food was delicious as well except the portions were quite small... It only cost the restaurant a few cents to add a handful more pasta to the order... Or a few more arugula leaves to the salad. Portions were not generous but taste was... more
We went to Coppi Ristorante. I read comments the seafood is a specialty. We had anchovies as appetizer. Turns out this is the first time I had anchovies that is not salted, which is a nice surprise. Main course is sea salt crusted orata. The fish is wrapped in aluminum foil and covered with coarse sea salt to preserve the... more
Not many Canadians have heard of Fausto Coppi, the famous Italian cyclist from the 1940s and 1950s, but this restaurant pays homage to him. Several walls are adorned with large photographs of Coppi from his road races and one solely decorated with several dozen painted bicycle forks. It certainly creates a unique atmosphere (though the new minimalist look of the... more
The food is excelelnt, the ambiance a bit different downstairs from upstairs after the renovation, but the prices aer very high. This is a place for shelling out big bucks. I preferred th eold, more formal set up now preserved upstais, given teh high prices, I expect nice tablecloths .... more
We ate here a few times many years ago, and had the place in favourable memory. Stuck for someplace to eat on a Monday night, we thought to give Coppi a try after all this time.

Coppi is an anthentic Italian food restaurant named after a very revered Italian cylclist.

I had heard not so great reviews of this restaurant from previous visitors. We had a great time and had great service and food. :)
We had a wonderful meal at Coppi with both of us ordering a fish entree. The service was excellent, however the restaurant was empty and they sat the two occupied tables side by side which was annoying. With only sparkling water to drink and both of us having a desert the bill was close to $170 which I felt was... more
Fish wrapped in salt amazing. Be careful don't eat too much of the bread they serve at the beginning in olive oil!
We have often dined at Coppi in the past, however this was the first time since the renovation. They have done an excellent job in turning a rather dated establishment into a modern, slightly trendy Italian eatery.
The valet parking was fast and efficient. The service throughout was professional. attentive and effective.
For appetizers we had the caesar salad, which...

Good friends, great wine, wonderful food, superior service. Who could ask for more? Highly recommend (just because it's what I ate): the osso bucco agnolotti, the risotto with porcini, the salt-baked fish and (especially) the octopus carpaccio. Those who may have disliked this restaurant in the past should revisit now that it's under new ownership.
Six of us went to Coppi to celebrate a birthday and we really enjoyed our experience there. Brand new decor and art work add a cheeky, modern art take on the theme of Italy's favourite cyclist. Standouts on the traditional southern Italian menu are the Octopus Carpaccio, the Risotto with Mushrooms served from a wheel of parmesan and the Sea... more
italy and all its regions of food / wine are supreme at Coppi
We had a birthday dinner here, party of 2, with a "quiet table" requested weeks in advance. Table presented was "grand central station" in the middle of everything, highest traffic location in the place, and when the owner got involved said "all tables are the same to us, there is no way we will be able to make you happy".... more
I love Coppi! We just went for Truffle season and the food was fantastic.
I have been several times and will continue to go often. The new decor
is very nice!
For Impeccable Italian cuisine, no one beats Coppi Ristorante
Order the fish baked in rock salt - an excellent preparation at your table that will have you coming back again for more. Add the wonderful pasta dishes and the simple yet whimsical decor (posters of the namesake cyclist) and a glass of wine and you'll see why this place is popular throughout the city.
good italian food but not really worth the price. old establishment italian
Very comfortable, very lovely service... and well-made traditional Italian. How can you go wrong?!
Fausto is the owner and he seems to be losing his passion for his customers. He is no longer the wonderful host that he was 5 years ago. The food is still great but it is now a living and not a passion anymore.
Great Italian food, especially the risotto; pleasant atmosphere, attentive, well-meaning service; always a sure bet for a good meal without breaking the bank
We have enjoyed meals here but we have also had spotty service on occasion.
The food is great, decor very nice but something about the place is a bit pretentious. Maybe not intentionally but have never been here when it didnt just seem too formal. Last visit ordered the lobster and spaghetti which was quite pricey for a lot of pasta and a little lobster.
This is a great family owned restaurant so you know that the food
is made with great care. There isn't anything on the menu
that I would say no too. mmmmmmm
Exceptionally good authentic Italian food. Great an friendly
Service and good value. Very Romantic.
Family owned and run, the food is superb, the service attentive
and knowledgable. The atmosphere is truly warm and inviting.
This is the place for the best upscale Italian you've ever
had!
Wow simply amazing went for a big family dinner was worth every
penny the dinner was great start to finish and wonderful service.
One of my absolute favourite places to dine in Toronto with top
notch and very personalized service. Their specialty is fish
baked in sea salt...order it ahead of time and you will be delighted
when you taste this *melt in your mouth* delicacy! Definately
worth the price of admission.
Food here is pricey but EXCELLENT! Well worth it. Minutes away
from the parking garage, so parking not a problem. The service
is also very good.
The food and the service are always excellent. The selection
on the menu
is vast - and everyone is sure to find something they like.
Reservations are a must - especially on weekends...enjoy!
Since 1991, Coppi has been serving up delectable and authentic Italian food at welcoming prices. Don't be fooled by the many photos of famed Italian cyclist Fausto Coppi (for whom owner Fausto Di Berardino was named) on the walls -- the focus in this Yonge Street eatery is definitely food. Born in Abruzzi, Di Berardino has maintained a love for Abruzzese cuisine, never too heavy handed with the... more
