Mid way stay for Niagara on the Lake

It was a very last min before we drove to Niagara On The Lake on the same day. Not much choice but this hotel is right beside Hwy and about 15 min drive to Niagara On the Lake downtown. A short drive from there to Niagara Fall. Close to the new outlet mall as well.

Hotel was really loud at night with a lot of people partying, paper thin walls. Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. A bit pricey considering the hotel didn't even offer basic amenities. Wouldn't go back. It was clean at least though

Close to everything.

Very nice staff. Rooms are a bit dated but seemed clean. If you just need a room and aren't looking for anything fancy in St. Catharines, this is close to all amenities and has reasonable prices.

Convenient

Convenient location with an IHOP attached. Nothing fancy, starting to show some wear&tear. Bath tub drain clogged, staff not too concerned. Cleaning staff missed previous guest hair clip lying on a chair but general cleanliness ok. Good for a one night stop or if you don't want to pay the inflated prices of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Disappointed that there was no free breakfast with the hotel (forced to pay at IHOP or not have breakfast) since we were paying the same rates as other Comfort Inns where breakfast is included.

Fair hotel close to Niagara Falls

Clean hotel

Stayed only one night, had one queen size bed, sofa and table with 2 chairs non smoking room on second floor. We had a good nights sleep, room very clean and comfortable. Reception could have been a bit more 'chatty' when we arrived, but everyone else was very pleasant

Pricey for a two-star, but surprisingly OK

A sudden call to a family funeral made time-consuming comparison shopping for a good "value" accommodation very difficult, so we turned to Expedia.ca for help. We quickly found what we wanted in terms of location and in terms of acceptable rate.

Quiet, convenient to QEW and spacious rooms. Pillows were small though (both my hubbie and I commented on this) but this was not major. No sweetener in rooms either for tea/coffee. IHOP right next door which was great for breakfast.

Decent hotel, but a little noisy

The room was generally clean, no complaints there. Our room was adjacent to the stairwell on the 2nd floor, which made it difficult to sleep in on Sunday (so much noise). It was the cheapest hotel we could find for this weekend, although I wouldn't really describe it as cheap.

Great Visit

We were part of a large group staying for the Canadian Henley. We arrived early and the rooms were ready for our arrival. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable and they had great pillows. Room was clean and had a refrigerator.

Good jumping-off point for vist to Niagara region wineries

The "queen-sized" bed seemed a little small and the mattress wasn't very comfortable. The air conditioning unit in room 208 is very loud and was set to 60 when we got there so the room was freezing cold. No issues with cleanliness and location is ideal. No wifi available in the room either.

Hotel was adequate - nothing special - could not access the second entrance so someone jammed the floor mat in the door to keep it open - a little unsettling for females travelling alone.

Nice hotel near the QEW

Pleasant stay with a good location. If you have a car this hotel is right off the main highway to get between Toronto and Niagara Falls, or just to check out St. Catharines.

For a Comfort Inn, not terrible. A good place to crash after a long drive.

Room was very very warm, A/C only helped if you were sitting right next to it, seems to have quit on the overnight. Bed would have been comfortable if it weren't 75 F (24C) in the room. Lamps were small, just barely enough light to read by.

Air conditioner from biker gang?

Hotel was well positioned and provided reasonable value for money. Our one night in room 245 was ruined by an air conditioner that clanged when it started and roared when it was on..general effect was like a biker gang making frequent visits to the room throughout the night. St. Catharine's is a beautiful place. A couple comments regarding this hotel. 1). There is no elevator so if you are on the second floor you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Convenient location

The location is great, its off but close access to the highway. Only a short drive to Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls. Its a surprise to find that there is no breakfast provided. Normally all Comfort Inns provide a continental breakfast!

Far away from downtown

Well located just in front of a mall. Lot of food choices around. No restaurant in the hotel, but an IHope just outside. None of the 3 people I met at the front desk were too kind... 15 Kms away from The Falls, I would say you'd need a car or a lot of patience to get there. Overall, and considering the price, it was a stantard experience, but nothing to die for.

Our Stay

This motel was very clean and the counter staff were very helpful during our stay. We had our pet with us and the room was situated on the ground floor and easy to take our pup out for her walks.I was very happy with the level of service and the staff went out of their way to make our visit very comfortable . I will definitely stay here again.

It was a place to sleep, nothing outstanding. I believe it could be a little more inviting. It was not an ideal location, not really in walking distance of anything.

Toilet was not spot clean and not well taken care of. The heater was annoying and has no climate control.

A nice inn just off the QEW Niagara

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We were in town for a bowling tournament and it was just a few minutes ride to the bowling alley. Also, it was only a 10 minute ride to Niagra Falls. Nice motel

Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and came with a fridge and microwave. Could use some updates. We had highway side room but noise was minimal. Only thing we thought was strange was that the attached IHOP closed at 5pm Mon-Thurs and 7pm Fri-Sun. Room charge was higher than what we would have paid in the US but normal for Canada since everything costs more there.

Niagara Falls Getaway

Other than the room being freezing when we arrived (which was easily fixed), it was a pleasant stay. Great for the price. Super close to Niagara Falls and Toronto. We stayed only one night and got to enjoy both locations quite easily in two days.

The hotel it self was fine. Nothing fancy. As far as I could see the rooms, bathrooms and hall ways where in good shape. The beds were very comforatble and they provided more than enough pillows.

Good hotel to stay in Niagara area

Cheaper than other hotels, room was comfortable and good access to Niagara on the lake and Niagara downtown. One thing that I want to mention is the hotel does not have elevator. I stayed with my baby and felt hard to hold stroller up to the 2nd floor. We should book the room at 1st floor.

Clean and comfortable, away from attractions

Nice hotel, with an attached IHOP for breakfast. Easy access from the QEW, but away from main tourist attractions. Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake are both about 20 minutes away. Visited the area for local event so I thought it would be convenient, which it was, but their rates($149) were steep. Just what I needed

Clean, comfortable. Well attended. Desk staff was friendly, helped with directions. (Be sure to exit 403 at Ontario Street, there's no sign.) Didn't need much when I was only staying a night. Slept thru a wild storm, bed was so comfy. Breakfast at IHOP was fine, coffee hot & service efficient.

My wife and I spent two nights. The hotel is nicely remodeled on the outside, but in the inside it's in need of a upgrade! The rooms look the they are stiill stuck in the late 80s era. Overall it was clean, comfortable and very well priced for the region.

Pleasant stop along the highway

I booked this hotel as a convenient stopping point for our drive across Ontario. The rooms were clean and nice sized. The bathroom was well-equipped and large and I liked the recycling bin. Breakfast was adequate but didn't like it being set up in the small and busy lobby.

Ideal location between Niagara Falls and Toronto

I prefer St Catharines everytime I entertain visitors from Europe. It gets you in about one hour to the CN Tower in Toronto. Reservations for lunch at the CN gets you VIP treatment, no long lines, and after the meal you get reinbursed for the lift to the top.
