enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the room was all that we expected, clean and comfortable, great for the price.
The complimentary breakfast didn't start till 6:30 am. My work day starts at 6:30 and the breakfast would better accommodate people were it to start earlier. The exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like an old diesel engine. I unplugged it for the duration of my stay. The location was perfect. Close to the St Laurent mall and access to the bus depot.
Clean and comfortable rooms our kids enjoyed the stay.I must mention about friendly and honest Management team working there,my wife accidentally forgot her purse in the breakfast area but lady working there returned picked it up and returned to us safely(with all the cash and jewelry intact) thank you.
This hotel is an older building with some upgrades. It was comfortable and the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was sufficient, but it was a crowded area.
Overall we had a good stay at this hotel. It has been renovated and it does look good for a Comfort In. Our only complaint was the air conditioning unit, which was SO LOUD it was hard to get a good nights sleep. We were in room 130.
staff was helpful, breakfast was good. Room was clean, fridge and microwave were handy to have.
Other than being on the same floor as a minor boys hockey team, our stay was what was expected. Comfortable bed and pull out couch, some mold in the shower but otherwise it was clean. Breakfast provided was good, fruit and bagels were fresh However very limited seating available without taking food back to room
very well maintained and clean.
Terrible front entrance. No elevator. Small breakfast area. Terrible location. Way too pricey. Anything else you need to know?
Staff on check in were nice. Assistant manager upon check out did not want to issue receipt. When customer insisted the computers crashed. The exterior of the hotel was in need of upgrade. The window in my room was cracked. The hotel room door did not lock
I think it was good but the breakfast was lousy need to improve the rest is not bad.Thank you
Rooms were comfortable, spotless and well maintained.
Need a hotel asap, and never had a problem with Comfort Inn hotels. Was more like a motel setting, but it was well kept and front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
We stayed at this property for two days while visiting family in Ottawa. The staff was friendly and helpful, check in was easy. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for two people. Overall we had a good experience.
Choice hotel network should seriously think if this location deserves to continue to be part of the chain. I stayed in many other Choice hotels and was satisfied. Not in this case. The bathroom was so dirty that I was scared to touch anything.
This was not a great experience and there were other guests complaining about the conditions of the bathrooms. This is definitely not worth the price paid and I believe I should get a refund.
Stayed two nights; attending a conference. Clean room, with good basic facilities & satisfactory breakfast.
The hotel was under construction and being upgraded. The room we stayed at was very nice and everything was new and clean
It is the kind of place you won't repeat, but is at least the only place close to Ottawa's downtown to travel with pets, and that is the only reason why we chose it. After all, is only an Inn, but could be a bit better.
I am not sure how to rate this hotel as it is probably a three star property but I would say they did a fabulous job in that category. It is not the Hilton, there is not room service but that is not what they strive to be.
The rooms were completely redone with nice granite counters, clean beds and...

Stayed here recently for work. I'll start with the positives safe neighbourhood with mall next door and lone star restaurant close by. Breakfast is good although very small and a bit crowded.

My husband chose this place for its proximity to the memorial service we were to attend. I stayed at this hotel during the Canada day long weekend in 2013, and all i have to say is disgusting! The hotel was extremely disgusting, the sheets smelled of fish, they were damp, and the washroom had hair in the tub and in the sink, the carpet was damp and dirty, and the breakfast area isn't an area, but... more
I have stayed in dozens of Comfort Inns and similar places. This location is obviously frequented by working class people, on the job. Meaning the parking lot is full of service vans and company vehicles. This is to be expected at this type of property on a weekday. BUT this hotel hasn't cleaned the carpet in the hall in 5... more
We stay in a lot of Choice Hotels and were very disappointed with this one. It is an old building, with scuffed walls and stained furniture. The carpet was frayed, in the halls and our room. The outside doors were not locked making the security questionable. The room itself was clean, with a very comfortable bed and lots of storage... more
The staff reception is super polite and patient and calm and collected. We had a few issues. Within minutes from checking out our power went out. He immediately corrected the problem. Later on we pulled the covers down and the sheets were uncleaned and recently stained. He immediately brought clean sheets and apologized. The hotel reeks of smoke in the hallways. The rug smells of dog urine. The... more
Have stayed at a number of chains while in the process of visiting Ottawa.
In summary; service poor, bathroom very dirty (mold)
For $ 18.00 for parking additional the Holiday Inn or Best Western are a much more enjoyable stay.
firstly i booked early enough to insure that i would get a ground floor room to ensure accomdating our pet, only to discover at check in that it was impossible too. then to realize that they put us in the middle of the building in between 2 exits again no room available closer to the stairs. finally the continental breakfast was the deal breaker, nothing pleasing to the patette! the hotel needs... more
The air conditioner in our room would start rattling sporatically, woke us up all night, finally turned it off at 4:00 a.m., then the room got too hot, did not get much sleep. We have stayed at Comfort Inns all across Canada and have grown accustomed to a standard level of hotel/service. This particular Comfort Inn gives the brand a horrible name and makes me question whether I'll trust a Comfort Inn again.

I stay at Comfort Inns all the time and through out Canada for business and this one is by far the worst. Upgrading is a must. The hallways are filthy. In my room, the toilet had a crack in it, bad tub, holes in the bed spread and bed bugs. I am covered in bites. No screen in the window... more
have stayed here twice and both times the stays were clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Dont expect supreme luxury or anything, it is a Comfort Inn not a Hilton! But for the price it was nice. Things were just dirty. In need of updating and repair. We had a non-smoking room and it smelt like a smoking room. Climate control didn't work in the room and the tub leaks water. Never again will I stay there!
Guest manager awesome guy ,their continental breakfast you get value out of it.
However please clean and maintain the property . I well sleep on the bed not in it. I feel it's dusty. Wife and I were irky about it. There service is very prompt.
Cheers!
I booked a non-smoking room for 3 nights. I believe we were directly beside or across from the smoking rooms. The halls reeked of cigarette smoke and my room reeked as well. On Thursday night the halls had smoke in them, so my daughter & I had to hold our breath to walk... more
good service, free coffee all day, good breakfast, good place to stay
Nice sized room. Very clean. The rooms are quiet. Would definitely consider using this hotel again. 2 minor issues. No bottle opener, & the diverter for the shower leaks & should be replaced.
Good location off Queensway. Delivers what you expect - happy with hotel. Good hotel on a budget - breakfast simple but adequate. Pariking free. Next to St. Laurent shopping mall so you can shop and be back in hotel in 5 minutes.
Staff is very friendly. Beware that some rooms are smoking. Even if you get a non-smoking room, the smoking rooms are right across the hall. The room was clean and comfy. The only complaint about the room is that the temperature is hard to control. Good location, right next to restaurants and St Laurent Shopping Centre.
Great value for the money. The breakfast was more than we expected.
This Hotel was close to the job site I was working at. Close to the mall and some good restaurants. Probably would stay again while working in Ottawa.
Good hotel to stay. very comfort and clean room. the price is very reasonable.
It was ok for the price. The air conditioner was exceptionally loud and impossible to sleep. There was no microwave in the room. The room was clean.
We went with friends for one night at Comfort Inn - Michael street Ottawa - having had a wonderful experience with the same hotel in Sault. STe Marie, we decided to stay again with the same chain of Hotel. We were extremely dissapointed with the hotel.
