Hotel was nothing special, but close to shopping which was what we wanted.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. We were in Calgary to visit Spruce Meadows and found the location of this hotel most convenient, a 15 minute drive to the ground.
Stayed a few nights, great room and breakfast too.
Although I had prepaid for my hotel room through Expedia, I was not allowed to check in for almost two hours, as I had not brought the credit card used on the original reservation. I had to contact my husband at home to fill out and email a permission wavier along with a picture of the credit card and his drivers. I was told that until this information was received I would not be allowed to... more
Clean, quiet, comfortable, affordable room. Close to downtown.
Only complaint was that a $50 charge was put my credit card and I was told that it was only a pre-authorization and had not been put through. When I got home and check on-line it was on my credit card. I asked in the morning that there was no extra charges and was told no but still the charge was on my credit card. Then I was told it would take 3 to 5 business days to release the charge. I... more
Helpful staff at front desk. Clean rooms and good continental breakfast
Our room was very quiet, clean and bed was comfortable with great pillows. Nice hot breakfast included
Typically I stay downtown, however my usual hotel was fully booked. I found this hotel with an internet hotel booking site. I have typically been satisfied with the Choice Hotel brands in the past so this gave me some confidence that this would be ok. I was generally satisfied with the facility and staff. It is worth mentioning that if you staying here without a car, be sure to give yourself... more
Comfortable room, nice beds with pillow selection (soft vs firm). The hotel doesn't have many frills, but it does offer a pleasant experience with all the essentials in place.
The only problems we had were that we were placed on the second floor next to the shaft elevator. It was very noisy and my spouse couldn't sleep. The elevator begun to operate very early in the morning and through late at night.
The rooms are in very good condition and the location is convenient to both downtown and shopping/restaurants.
when we got off the elevator on the 4th floor. it must have been 85 degrees in the hallway..........I told the front desk this and he said he would check it out........when we out a second time it was still just as hot.......I again told front desk staff and then I told him to move the front desk to the 4th floor........he did say someone was coming to check it out.......later that night when... more
So far, one of the best hotels i've ever stayed at. Had a good night sleep just before hitting the road again the following day. Friendly and truly dedicatef staff, from the front desk to kitchen and housekeeping... Thumbs up!!!
Affordable price, pleasant service and clean rooms. One disappointment was the continental breakfast - poor selection and quality.
for going to concert at the Saddledome and shopping at Chinook or South Centre
We stayed there for 2 nights, the breakfast was good, staff was courteous, parking was good.
It is close to all locations and rooms are good.
The only issue i faced was that the bath tub was not slanted properly hence the water stayed in the tub after every shower. The in room coffee supplies was inadequate.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was very kind and friendly. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and AC worked well. The breakfast was a full breakfast and just not a continental. Did not use the water slide. Hotel is on McLeod St. - a busy and somewhat noisy street. The price was vert... more
Stayed here for 3 nights during the Calgary Stampede (just 1 LRT stop and 5 mins walk away from the Stampede). The room are clean, quiet, modern with comfortable beds and pillows. Stayed for two nights july 2014, house keeping didnt clean the room, there was a very bad smell in the room, the fridge didn't work, there are two lifts one didnt work at all and the other was temperamental and there was alcohol boxes in the middle of the hallway,I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel
Good experience, friendly staff, easy to find and great parking!
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We would stay here again.
Just a quick overnight stay but the rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable. The pool and water slide looked fun but we never used it. Kind of a sketchy area of Calgary but it was close to many amenities.
Staff very friendly and very quiet even though hotel was full.
Rooms were quiet and clean. Breakfasts were good. Staff were courteous and helpful. The only drawback was that we asked for an extra cot or roll away bed but it could not be provided, so we had to pay for another room. Hotel location is great.
We checked in and when we opened the door to our room we found the room still not cleaned. We called the front desk, and then we were asked to wait downstairs till the room was made ready. We said no, we wanted a new room. There was not enough towels provided. The complimentary breakfast was not very good. The fruit looked old, the juice wasn't cold. The hair dryer didn't work.
This hotel is basic but clean. The best part is it is a 5 minute drive from the Chinook Mall. Staff was helpful with service, directions to other locations and with recommendations for restaurants. Our kids liked the water slide too. We would definetly stay here again.
This hotel experience was an interesting one for me. To start off the location listed for the hotel we in correct when clicking on the link, lucily the hotel wasnt far from the mistaken location. Secondly, we got there about 10min before check in at 3pm and the room wasnt ready so we were told to go for a drive till about 3:30pm then come back. We got into the room and it was somewhat clean, we... more
We stayed at this Comfort Inn during the Calgary Stampede. It's about 1.5 blocks away from the train station, and 2 train stops away from the stampede grounds & Saddledome. Accessible, but I wouldn't recommend this walk to the station for those with disabilities or mobility issues. As far as the hotel goes, it was very clean, and the desk staff are quite friendly. Price is decent for the area.... more
This hotel exceeded our expectations! For the price we paid we were pleasantly surprised in many ways. Very courteous front desk staff and morning breakfast workers, extremely clean rooms and lobby and very close to Stampede Park whcich made it a great place to stay when we came to the Calgary Stampede.
It was a nice stay. Good size rooms, great to have free wifi.
A decent Comfort Inn, clean and convenient to SwW Calgaru.
The room was very clean and comfortable. An older hotel but very well maintained. Our room was at the back of the hotel(over the parking lot) so it was very quiet. The staff were excellent, breakfast was plentiful and the coffee in the lobby was much appreciated. We were close to everything, great shopping, Calgary Zoo etc.
We had reserved this hotel several months ago, but changed rooms from a suite to a two queen bedroom unit in the back to keep away from the busy MacLeod Trail highway out front, good thing we did. Yes, it's close to the Chinook Mall and to the C-Train station, but not the best location. Our kudos to front desk... more
Stayed for 2 nights with my wife and 16 month old. The location of the hotel is on a busy street so it's not very walkable, not a problem for us as we were driving everywhere. From Macleod it is very easy to get downtown. We had an adjoining door to the next room so noise from our neighbors was a bit of an issue. The room was spacious though with a fridge and a microwave and was very clean.... more
From when we arrived (June 6, 2014) and until we departed (June 10th, 2014) all the staff at this hotel were always courteous, pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Most of my interaction was with the front desk staff, in particular Cindy and Nicole, both of whom provided assistance readily and I was grateful for their assistance.

The hotel was good. Liked the LCD TVs in bed room and the living room. Pool was very good, was clean and the water slide is nice and fast. Our 3 years old loved it.
Clean nice hotel. Was very happy with my stay. Quick check in, nice staff and close to my appointment. Would stay here again for sure.
This hotel meets all the requirements. Clean, comfortable rooms. Close to Stampede grounds and downtown. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. Hot breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. A very good place to stay. Will stay here next time.
The name of the hotel may indicate just another average hotel/motel, but I was pleasantly surprised. I booked a suite online as the price was not all that much higher than an ordinary room. Good bed, OK bathtub with shower, in-room safe and fridge (that froze my bottles solid-check the setting of the termostat).
But what made it stand out...

I booked my hotel online and when I got to the hotel the staff was very unwelcoming and stated several times that "I booked online". I would NEVER stay here again, wasn't a nice hotel, they charged me extra for having a standard two queen room, and the staff was absolutely horrible!
Not many hotels would deserve 5 stars in all categories, but in my opinion this one does. Not a single complaint for any aspect of our visit and their price was fantastic, especially considering the included breakfast: not just your typical continental, but rather the option of waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. Top notch!
I had read reviews of this hotel, both good and not so good, and was wary even though I booked because it had the best location for our needs. Now, I guess if I'm going to be fair I have to say our stay was excellent and not just in relation to what I expected. We stayed for 2 nights.The... more
Hotel is good, price is good. Hotel staff great, room comfortable, breakfast good.
Pros: Room was fairly clean, curtains closed all the way to block out light, the pool and slide looked pretty cool, wifi was free
Cons: Wifi was terrible. The connection dropped all the time, which made it really hard to work from the hotel. The hallways were dirty and not well maintained. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls.

This place is a short drive from downtown Calgary and is very close to Chinook Centre Mall. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast is included and was good - my kids would have loved the waffle maker had they been with me. Parking is free too. I didn't use the indoor pool but it looked nice.

Escellent. The staff was most helpful and friendly. If it had been closer to downtown would have been a plus, but it was only a $20 cab ride there and they arranged the appointment with the cab company. Breakfast was fine, for the price.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful! I was able to use the pool and had it to myself...a treat!
Was doing renos and room smelt like glue Got stuck in elevator Pubic hair in the bath tube
Location was ideal for my travel destination. Front Desk staff were friendly and courteous.

The floor I was put on was under renovation, large rolls of carpet littered the hallway. The air conditioning unit was very loud. I did not complain since I checked in late and was leaving early in the morning
We stayed at the Comfort Inn at 4611 MacLeod Trail during our trip to Calgary for medical. I cannot say enough good about Cindy and Albert. The room was dated, but clean enough. The bed was quite comfortable. Those were the only positives I can think of. The front desk staff were consistently rude. The motel is dated badly but does have some bonuses. The bathrooms are badly dated and need to be upgraded and the ac is a 'loud' window fixture. The towels are worn out and the pillows are small and square. The area is fairly desperate but there is a pool with a large 'kids' slide and small exercise room.
This is over-priced and very poor. The air-conditioning did not work. The couch looked sticky , and was torn and covered in cigarette burns. The towels were all ragged and worn out. The gym was unbelievably small and ill-equipped. And the best of all, I ate breakfast out of a cardboard bowl and plate, and with plastic cutlery.

This place has reasomable rates, the beds are fine, the rooms clean. Bonus, is that there is a Hooters restaurant across the street - No driving required.
