Good Value Hotel

Very old property clean and right in the center of town

It may be dated, the rooms are a good size and clean. Beautiful park beside the river that runs right behind it. There is even a small dock to fish from! Some rooms even have balconies.

September 06, 2013I have been to big and small hotel rooms to spend nights after work as part of my job. Radio station staff in Kemptville recommended this motel to me. This is a small motel but definitely the best of its kind I have stayed.

Great for families

For the business traveler... NOT BAD
August 31, 2012I wouldn't want to spend a romantic getaway here, and if you're looking for an exotic place with Flat screen TV's-- you may want to pass here too. It's quaint and cozy, the rooms could be bigger. And in fact the hotel has gone entirely smoke free. I would stay there again.

Great hotel, even greater owners, totally recommend

Stayed one night after a show at The Branch Organic Restaurant.
I was treated great, by the owners, from the reservation call to check out. My queen room was very clean and there is no smoking in hotel. The rooms facing in the river have balcony/patio setups for smoking outside. The 24 hour coffee/snack alcove is a bonus.

Horrible - keep driving
September 06, 2011We staying in Unit 125, which was supposed to be a non-smoking room. There was no fitted bottom sheet on the bed, so within 5 minutes of sitting on the bed the mattress was revealed along with cigarette burn holes. The sheets absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. Nice, family run business

The rates were good for the room.
Nothing fancy, but clean and friendly.
Coffee was brewing in the morning and the kids had Disney Channel to watch.
All rooms were non-smoking, they recently implemented this rule.

Rip off
December 14, 2009I was travelling with two children 12 and 14, and was told that I would be charged for three adults to stay. I found this to be ridiculous. As well, smoking rooms are two doors down from the non smoking, which means the non-smoking aren't realyy non-smoking. Take the extra driving time, and head to a nicer place in Ottawa.
