I stay here often, rarely disappointed

A regular stop for me, 8 times in the past four years. Always happy with accommodation except for this instance where the double bed (I usually get a Queen size, but none were available) I slept in was in need of retiring as it was without any support. But always a great location overall.

Cheap but mouldy

Cheap hotel if that's what you need, but not even really worth the price. The bathroom was disgusting, there's so much mould I didn't go into the shower, and the toilet didn't work well. The rest was tolerable but I would never return unless in dire need.

Cleansiness and maintenance was terrible.

Nice clean hotel close to airport.

Clean comfortable hotel close to airport. Reasonable access to Old Quebec City, approx. $22.00 cab ride or $3.25 by transit (#11 Bus). It was a little disappointing that there is no restaurant or room service on site. Nor are there any decent restaurants within convenient walking distance. Way under legitimate expectations

This hotel reeks and has smoky walls. Cleanliness was a best okay and comfort was way under what could be expected of a 3 stars hotel. Only relevant to crash after a huge party night. Even the 2 stars hotel won't deceive you that way.

Stayed one night and that was one night too long! Room was old and dated and it smelled stale. Could not open a window, unfortunately! Microwave was not clean inside and neither was the bar ridge. We ended up moving to a hotel closer to the old City. This hotel is great if you have a car, or you can take the #11 bus into the old city which isn't too bad.

Needs cleaning

Bathroom smells of mold and mildew! Large spider webs on the windows! I knew it was not a five star hotel but am still disappointed. Even a place that is older and not updated can be maintained. This one is not. The one positive is the friendly staff!

We were offered a room in the annex which was realy disgusting, managed to get a room on the upper floors which was an improvement.

Decent Hotel

Initially i was little hesitant to book in this hotel due to reviews but later i found that i didnt make any mistake. This hotel is at decent location and few restaurants are nearby. Room are decent and clean, I wont call it as the best but it serve the purpose with decent price.

Executive was worth it

I stayed here twice during a work trip and both times I found it to be very enjoyable. It wasn't out of the way and the rooms were clean with friendly service. Nice big soaker tubs helped with the stress if driving too! I'd stay here again and again - and a great price for the room too!

Old hotel but well kept and comfortable

We stayed only for one night. The lobby was pretty good. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room and bed were spacious and ok. Washroom set up was a bit different but ok. A little worn out but still value for money we paid through Hotwire. 20 mins from QC downtown. Parking is huge and free.

Just like everyone else, this hotel may have been a nice place to stay in the 60's or 70's. This place needs some serious renovations. The shower did not work, some of the lights did not work, and the card scanner on the room door did not work 99% of the time. I would personally not stay here again.

Good parking. Friendly personnel. Old facilities - rooms needs refurbishment. Con/Amer breakfast is so so.

Booked through Hotwire.. got one of the older rooms.. it was decent enough... how ever shower was very poor. Other then that for price was not bad.

What a memorable trip!!!

I stayed from November 30th through December 5th 2008. Not that bad, but there is nothing really close by. There is a nice place to eat called The Paris Grill right in front of the hotel. Kind of exspensive, but the food was not that bad. The hotel as a place to eat, but is only open for breakfast. There is also a bar inside the hotel, but the drinks are overpriced, but that seemed to be a very... plus

I heard the steps in the above room at midnight and the shower in other room. Noisy it is not the thing that you want in your vacations.

great city, quick trip

nice hotel, very affordable, covered parking which is a plus for winter. Newly remodeled and very clean.

Older hotel. Nice customer service. Looks like they may be starting to upgrade the bathrooms. Sink area is nice. Bathtub and toilet (is in a separate room from vanity/sink)moldy and mildewy. Landscaping was old and lacking. A place to sleep, that's it. Location was convenient for our purposes. Again, staff was nice.

You get what you pay for

It was a covenient hotel, not as close to the main Quebec attractions.

Clarion's not correctly rated

The Clarion's in Quebec doesn't qualify for the four-star rating. The room smells, and towels rotten, and bed linen ages million years. If it's rated 2 star, I will be not surprised... plus

Overall, our experience was quite good. We were there for a conference and breakfast, lunch, and dinner were provided for 3 days. All the meals and service by the staff were excellent. The staff were able to speak both French and English. My room was very nice and very clean. It was spacious, the bathroom was very nice with a heated floor in front of the shower. Clarion Quebec, Good value if you have a car

This hotel is very clean with a large inviting lobby, helpful staff, and an indoor pool. The rooms are tidy and include (in double rooms) a coffee maker, separate bathroom and sink, TV, air conditioning. The beds are slightly hard, and a car is required to get around town, unless you take the nearby city bus into Place D'Youville in town.
