Second time at this hotel. Very clean, in between everything we wanted to do and so resonable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They have done a wonderful job remodeling.

What you pay is what you get.

I stayed only 4 hours because we were only passing by. For that reason the hotel is just OK. I did not have time to see more of it. The shower is the smallest that I have ever seen and I am not a big person. The bed was enough for a short night. The problem was the person in the room beside ours was snoring and could listen it very well.

Great place for dog owners and their dogs!

The Cherry Tree Inn motel is very dog friendly. When the staff saw me walking my dog three of them came over and asked about him and petted him. They obviously love dogs! Anniversary Trip

This was such an awesome place to stay. I was very surprised at how cute, comfortable and clean our room was. It was like having a studio for the weekend.

This hotel served our purposes well. Very clean room, including the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the bedding appeared to be fairly new. Affordable and clean easy access to everything.

I would have liked a microwave and the cord to the coffee maker did not reach the plug. Fortunately I always bring an extension cord. They have done a very nice job with a small space.

Clean, friendly, convenient

Best thing: wifi routers in each room. No sitting in corners trying to get a signal. The rooms are clean. It's clearly a family operation. We unexpectedly didn't arrive until midnight and there was someone cheerful there to greet us. We decided to stay an extra day and the were accommodating and moved our luggage for us.

We spent two nights in room A2 with 2 queen beds and kitchenette. It seems room is newly renovated. And its really spacious, and clean. Bathroom is nice and clean. 15 mins away to Victoria city. Kitchen is bit small but well equipped. Even for a family with four its a good size. Highly recommended.

Victorias hidden secret

Had to stay in Victoria when my son had a medical procedure.Rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. Nothing was too much trouble for owners and was fortunate enough to be able to extend our stay.Will use again.

Quite a distance to see most sights

It was an enjoyable stay and nice room. I don't care for hardwood floors but we survived. I cannot walk without some type of shoe that has my Dr. Made Supports and they don't work well with the slippers in the room. Also it was hot which made us miss Air Conditioning during the day but cool enough at night that we did not need it. Owner was nice and cordial and I believe we would stay again.

You get what you pay for.

The hotel has been renovated, but it is a really amateur job.Mismatched tiles, plugs in strange places, inconvenient switches. The air conditioning was a portable unit with a hose out the window, which kept falling out.The room smells a bit musty. The guy in the office was not too personable; he really did not make us feel welcome. That said, it was inexpensive, clean, and close to the highway.

It was perfect for us - about 15 minutes from downtown and just off the highway towards Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. Very pleasant family running the motel. Clean rooms and well worth the money. Would stay there again.

Clean, quiet , good value

It was a good price and they are individual buildings with a few units, bus stop fairly close by. No full tub in single unit was my only negative as the shower was cramped. TV and wifi a plus.

Our Initial Reaction while locating this place was like that of a bunch of 'High Schoolers' trying to find a 'Cabin in the Woods'(even at 40s). Great stop over in a budget pinch

I was so pleased with this little hotel. It was so well priced for what I got and My son and I fit in the one queen bed nicely. It really helped me accommodate my tight budget which was such a relief. It was super clean and just perfect for a one night or two stay especially in a budget bind.

The room was very clean. Checking in was quick, helpful and friendly. Walked us to the room and explained a few operating things to us. Lots of dishes, cooking pots and utensils. EXTREMELY disappointed!!!

I booked at the end of May for single accommodation for 1 night, looking at the Cherry Tree Inn website. The room was NOTHING as it was portrayed on their website! I ended up having to pay for one night's accommodation ($74.75) because that was their "policy" and going elsewhere.

I thought I would be pulling up to a standard hotel but instead it was a mini version of little town homes. It was close to the major road 17 but it wasn't really up to my expectation. Did stay only for a single night before morning flight from Victoria International. The motel/hotel was nice and everything worked perfectly. The price was good as well. I would not hesitate to stay for a couple more nights.

Clean little motel (not a hotel)

Great stay for the most part. The shower will drive you crazy if you are taller than 5'5" as the shower head is too long and in the way to stand up properly. No bath just a small shower. No air conditioning or fan for a hot day. Other than that the place was comfortable and clean and not run down.

This is my second visit to this motel. It is very clean and well kept. Bed was comfortable. Managers were pleasant and courteous. Close to Butterfly Gardens and Butchart Gardens and Victoria. Will stay here again when I go back to the area.

Great value

We stayed here last year and again this year. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The rates are modest and overall exceeded our expectations. The host is very helpful. We hope to return on our next visit to Sanaach/Victoria!

Everything has been changed

We stayed two nights from Dec. 14 to 16 at this Inn where my family has occasionally spent nights before. This time, we experienced totally renovated facilities with same price..

Door was difficult to lock (from the outside when leaving the room); spiders and moths in the room upon arrival; there was a fridge in the room but it was switched off and so smelly you wouldn't want to put any food or drink close to it

The owner we dealt with was pleasant. Our two rooms were not available so a suite was substituted that included three bedrooms for the five of us which was actually better for us. We would certainly consider a return visit next time in the Victoria area.

You cannot find another place with this low price. If you're looking for a resort type of place, this is not for you. It serves our purpose well because it's only a short 1 night stay. This is a very run down facility and it wasn't very clean and the rooms had a funny smell to them. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Do not stay here. There is mold every place you can think of as well as stains. The fire alarm didn't even work when we tested it. Definetly scummy and not worth 90 bucks.

Left it late to book accommodation on our tour of Vancouver Island and the Cherry Tree Inn came up on an internet search. Had little option but to book a 2 bedroomed suite and was very disappointed with quality given the price we were charged. Very shabby and in need of renovation. Look elsewhere.

very nice hotel

We stayed at the cherry tree inn three years ago and will be travelling out west again this year and will stay there again. Was the least expensive hotel of all the places we stayed and for the price the nicest. I remember the room was very nice and we felt very safe staying there.

Ideal if you're travelling cheap

For less than $50 a night, this place was pretty decent! You still get a private room and bathroom, a small TV, and a parking space right in front of your room.
