My go to for fish & chips
July 15, 2014Any time I crave fish and chips I go to Cheers. Home cut fries and a selection of fish (perch, halibut, haddock) to choose from on certain nights keeps me coming back. Service is good but the bar area can get a little loud at times.

Great place for fish and chips
July 01, 2014I have eaten at this Welland neibourhood bar/restaurant many times and it is well known for the fish and chips. Some of the best in the city. Staff and service is awsome. The only thing is the the rest of the menu is not to my liking, but I will always come here for the fish and chips.

This was our first visit to this small pub/restaurant in Welland. My wife had the haddock fish and chips and declared it to be as good as any she has had any where else.
I ordered battered shrimp and they also were good. A big slice of home made bread was a nice treat.

Best Fish in the Niagara Region. Please Try This Restaurant ASAP
August 25, 2013I love eating here. They have a great menu & their prices are cheap. I recommend trying their Alaskan Pollock cuz it tastes amazing. I also recommend their Chicken Wings. They are one of the few restaurants with actual Jumbo Wings.

March 14, 2013The service was slow, the food average, wings were not that great and the supposed best fish in the city was very sad and overcooked. Took 15 minutes to get the bill afterwards. Just a poor visit overall.

Christmas Party
December 14, 2012Couldn't have asked for a more friendly, flexible and value filled evening. After bringing our group of 30 teenagers for a Christmas party, I highly recommend Cheers based on value- great pub food, very helpful staff. We will be back for sure!

September 30, 2012My boyfriend and I come from a home that makes all home made food right down to the herbs and spices. We are here in Welland for school, and Cheers was our first place to eat out. It completely made us feel like home, the food was great, the service amazing, and all well priced especially for a college budget.... more
