Century Room is a versatile and vibrant venue that can play various roles and entertain on many levels.
Century Room is a good club, I like the atmosphere and I don't mind the music and lots of people getting there groove on.
On the other hand I find cover to be over priced, bottle service over priced and most of all the bouncers have serious attitude. I've never done anything to a bouncer cuz they tend to love trouble makers but I've witnessed first hand accounts what they do to people or how they make you wait in line while other people grease them at the door to bypass the line.
Century room is very chick an trendy. Mostly they play house so its definatley not a top 40 bar. Its elegant and a medium sized club. It has a great vibe and is a good place to let loose on the weekends
Studio 54 it is not, despite the black and whites of the famed disco displayed within the club. Fashion forward, sleek and somewhat difficult to get into on a Saturday night? Yes. Everyone feels like their own celeb with leather adorned VIP areas surrounding the perimeter. Vogue clad girls in minis and Mediterranean metrosexuals adorned in graphic T's bust a move to bumpin' house beats in the... more
Subtle Clues for the Lounge Seeker
Flanked by the sturdy stone casing of King Wests acclaimed restaurants and roomy lofts, one might easily miss the smooth grey plaque signifying the entrance to Century Room. Yet eight stairs up behind a pair of modest wooden doors, upscale lounge ambiance is offered on the main level of the Davis and Henderson building.

My friends and I absolutely LOVE Century. Always a good time. I'm so sad it closed down.
Century Room is what a North American nightclub should look like.
Big windows at the front, and eclectic decor that is barely noticable because of the women here are actually good looking. God save the Queen, there's hope in this town afterall.
I came here with Legs. Legs is a girl who is overthetop crazy (by American standards), she has this pair of legs that don't seem to end, but even when...

Just went last weekend. This place is not happening anymore. The line up outside is a complete false advertisement, the club is completely empty when you go inside.
I looked online for club events, found one for that night at Century Room. There was an option to sign up for the guest list. Benefits included VIP-line access and ladies were free before 11pm. This sounded great, so I put me and my sister on the list. I even got a call from one of the promoters letting me know that I was officially on the guest list.
We arrived at the place literally at...

I went there on a Friday night. We got there at around 11:30 pm. Since I had a large party they let us in 2 at a time - I got in at midnight. Bouncer did approach us and said for an extra $10/person we could cut the line. I declined.
Cover was $15 - fair enough.
Drinks was overly priced - just like other clubs.
The dance floor was packed. No wiggle room at all. I seemed to be awkwardly moving...

I didnt have a bad time here. The promoter and door man were very nice. They let us bipass the line up becuase we had a birthday party inside. The cover was a bit steep but the over all night was fun.
Okay my first review ever for the first club I have been to since i moved to Toronto this month and I would like it to have been a five.
Got there on a Thursday arond 10.30 and it was pretty dead, but this soon changed by 11.30 so atleast there was a good atmosphere.
Music was good, mixes between RnB and House and thankfully no cheesey music!
Cover was reasonable at $10 before 11pm and really...

We got in around midnight expecting the place to be packed due to the long and slow line outside. There was still a lot of space inside and wasn't close to full capacity.
Cover was $20 which I think wasn't worth it because the music wasn't THAT great and the crowd was a thumbs down. I could've paid $5 less and have had a better experience at another trendy club, such as Tryst. I expected a...

No hassle atmosphere.
Great music. I love that they have a jacket closet build into each booth!!
no more line ups for coat checks or worries about losing my coat/bag
I came here with some locals on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. Pretty surprising. It's not a bad place to hang out and party.
I can't comment on the cover cost as I got in for free thanks to some friends but this review isn't biased as I didn't get vip or bottle service. Just free cover.
Ok decor, average priced drinks (cheaper than others on King Street West clubs), as tiny as other Toronto clubs, takes time to fill in but eventually is very fun.
The DJ needs to get his s@!t together. He plays small portions of...

What happened to the club scene that revolved around DANCING? This whole see and be seen thing is just so brutal. First off, the line to get in was a nightmare and it was snowing. Of course, we get inside and it is empty.
I was confused by the crowd: guys in Canada Goose Down Jackets, girls awkwardly swaying and one had her iPad out and was just typing away. My friend and I wanted to dance but...

I don't know what it is about Century Room, but it seems like this place will never loose it's popularity. Perhaps because of how selective they are sometimes, or perhaps because alot of celebreties frequent this place occasionally.
In any case, the crowd is typical barbies and fake tans. The ratio of blondes at Century is quite high actually, but be prepared, there is alot of coke going...

Labour Day Weekend Bachelorette Party! Congrats to Dru! We got bottle service...bumped into two other bachelor party. Being the bachelorette party, hard not to get attention, and was an easy target. Especially when the bride-to-be was going all out! haha ~ The music was good, a bit of repeat towards the end of evening, can't remember if that happens at other clubs. Service was alright. I did... more
Recently visited century room and had a great time. The staff was so friendly and crowd was stunning in appearance. I have to say that the outside patio is a great place to meet and mingle. The music was amazing. I highly recommend this venue and will be returning many times to come.
I went to Century Room for bottle service with a group of folks, on a Tuesday night. Don't get there before 11:30pm if you're going on a Tuesday. The night gets started late there, and it's pretty much a meat-market filled with highly insecure men in suits (as though they didn't have time to change between work and 11pm). If you get there early, you get preyed on, early, and it takes a couple... more
Century Room is whatever really... The crowd is kind of funny - too many fake-looking guys who look wayy too high maintenance (yes, you heard it right). And they all hang out in little groups, without drinks in their hands. But i think they're just waiting for girls to buy them drinks. C'mon now - pretty boys don't have to pay! Like, really!!! *Rolling her eyes" Ohh and also, they always get in... more
Century room is awesome in the summer because it has a huge patio area. However it's the place where everyone wants to be so the line is ridiculous to get out there. The inside is always crowded, so its hard to dance unless its a dead night. It's definitely a fun place to stop during the night, but not a place to spend your whole evening.
It's a big gaudy club on King West, with a great patio and bottle service and the room is set up so you can have one DJ in the front and the main in the back. The sound system is c@!p, but that's par for the course with these clubs. Tuesday night has long been the night to go. Lots of bar industry people and a wide variety of downtown types. It gets really packed up though, so go with a... more
The Century Room has been disappointing both times I've been. It's one of many new lounges that opened up in the newly gentrified King West strip. The area caters to a slightly older crowd than that of the clubbing district. The Century Room place is fairly expensive: drinks are around $7.00 a pop, and there has been cover both times I've been. (Who wants to pay cover to go to a lounge?) There... more
Hidden from view, the Century Room is both cool and elegant.
