Always good
March 26, 2014Simply put, it's great fish and chips! Always good, fresh, hot and perfect. The place is impossibly clean and sadly, that's not always the norm these days. They are always friendly, fast and attentive and when not serving you with a smile...cleaning! Great place.

Generous Portions of Fish and Chips
January 13, 2014You can always count on the fish being crispy and the fries being nice and hot here. The portions are always generous. Service with a smile! While typically you can count on spending $12-$20, it depending on what you order, it's worth it! Just minutes from Presqu'ile Provincial Park. A great choice for dining out in Brighton.

Good food, good quick service and very clean

This is a great place to stop for a quick lunch when in Brighton - we enjoy the fish and chips and often the clam strips - always friendly service and the restaurant is very clean.
They offer good specials and we have never had a bad lunch!

Ok but no cigar

It was nice and clean but smelled a little bit of the cleaners they use rather than the food they cook.
The meals were good but most of what is on the menu was deep fried and we would like to have seen more choices from the grill.
Prices were a little high for the serving size but not outragious....

Best fish and chip between Montreal and Toronto

If you are looking for something different from the traditional fast food joints, Try Captain George's Fish & Chips in Brighton. It's about 5 minutes off the 401 but well worth the stop.
The halibut is fabulously done. The batter is fairly crispy, not doughy or soggy .

Fish and Chips tradition
January 23, 2012Don't go on Friday. There is always a line-up. This seems to be the only place in town on Fridays. Other days you can get a seat or order out. The fish is properly cooked and has lots of crisp batter. The chips were a little more soft than I like, but tolerable. I wasn't expecting frites. Decent fast food.

Great Fish, Horrible Service

This is a very popular restaurant with the locals as the fish & chips are excellent. Very tasty indeed. Where we run into issues is with the Take-out service.
Recently we placed an order at 5pm over the phone for 4 fish dinners and a chicken fingers dinner and arrived at the restaurant at 5:15pm. The food wasn't ready yet...
