The power steering return hose on my 03 Intrepid was leaking, called up for a labor quote,
after 30 minutes on hold, I get some 13 year old kid who has no idea what i'm talking about, and after wasting another 15 minutes of my time tells me I have to bring the car in because she doesn't have access to this information. Unbelievable!!

Best advice is to just goto a business specifically a garage or dealer of whatever your make of car is. I was told the inspection would be done in about 45 minutes. After coming back an hour later from shopping at Walmart next door I came back to the garage only to see my car still sitting in the parking lot, When I went to the service desk to ask what was going on with my car a lady in front... more

MY HORRIBLE AUTO SERVICE CENTRE EXPERIENCE
Incredibly inept service and they had the gall to overcharge me.
I drove to Ottawa to visit for the weekend. Over a period of 24 hours my manual transmission became more difficult to shift into gear. I obviously had a leak in the hose for the transmission fluid. I called Cdn Tire in the afternoon and was told they would be able to fix it that... more

I was driving when my vehicle experienced some very weird noises. Canadian Tire was the closest location so I drove in as continuing on the road felt unwise. I then proceeded to park the vehicle and sought to have a mechanic simply take a look at the engine (5 minutes tops) to advise whether this was an immediate"turn the vehicle off immediately" kind of situation. The... more

Positive - I usually stop into this CT weekly, whether I buy anything or not. I have had an easy time with returns and found that the Service Center (cars) has improved as of late. The store is generally well stocked.
Negative - I still find this store to be generally understaffed, and they definitely should not put high-school kids with NO experience with tools in the Tool Section. It was... more

Service department run around! I had the displeasure of visiting Canadian Tire's service department after my Van battery died this weekend. I called and made an appointment for 9 am on Saturday morning. I dropped my van off 10 mins early. I asked Sue the sales rep what time I should return to pick up my vehicle. She stated I was slated for the next technician and that the job would be no more... more

I frequent Canadian Tire stores all over the Ottawa area and in the past I've always enjoyed shopping at the Orleans location. Lately however, I'm guessing they've changed general managers because it seems that they are modeling the store after value village some sort of thrift shop. Guessing the new guy comes from one of these stores because all you get now in this store is tables set up... more
