Very nice hotel in a great part of the city. Lots of good restaurants across the street and around the corner (Trib Steakhouse, Catch, etc). Also, very close to lots of shopping.

Very nice hotel, slept like a baby

I really like Marriott hotels. They are always high quality rooms, with very nice furnishings, sheets and towels. This hotel is no exception, and is ideally located so walking to almost everywhere for me was an option. The staff is very friendly as well. I will be back.

Just Fine for Business

The hotel is right in the middle of downtown, which is good for getting to the best bars and restaurants. The only downside was--we got a room with two beds for 3, but they were two double beds. Fortunately, I like my friend well enough.

Great experience

Everyone was extremely helpful. From the Valet fellow upon arrival through the check-in and everyone else we ended up dealing with, whatever we were doing. The bed wasn't a Queen or a King but it was big enough to be comfortable.

Stayed here for work. Nice location and close to everything downtown. $50 dollar cab ride from the airport. Price was expensive but was paid for by work. Right across the street from the Calgary tower and close to C train. Will stay again!

Well located but aging

The location is excellent for those needing to be downtown. The room was clean but seemed a bit dated. Many restaurants nearby and the Starbucks in the lobby is very handy, though it gets quite busy in the morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a good choice when staying downtown.

Great Stay

Staff were more than helpful, rooms were decent and great location for walking to different restaurants. Breakfast was included and it was tasty with lots of options at the buffet. Everything was really fresh. After check out the hotel stored our luggage and we were able to walk around town without all our bags!

Service is great, I stayed for an extended business trip, expensive to stay and valet but so is everything downtown. Wish the Starbucks opened earlier or they had a Tim's but otherwise a good place. I forgot an item and returned a few weeks later and they had it for me.

This is an excellent hotel. The staff is extremely friendly. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the mountains. It is conveniently located in downtown Calgary, and there is a Starbucks in the lobby. I will definitely stay here again.

Had dinner at the Marriott upstairs. Wasn't ahh at the place but worth it. I would rather stay here than the fairmont hotel. Christmas buffet was 50 dollars. Was worth it. I love the place very much. Like I said I would go back to the place again.

Love the location , the bar is stark but the service is great and the appitisers are wonderful. Rooms and hallways need to be updated , but are still nice. The staff at the front desk are very accommodating and the door men are very helpful.

There is nothing wrong with this property other than the astronomical price to stay there. This booming oil town is Manhattan expensive. All the downtown hotels serving the business community are more expensive than superior hotels in New York City or Los Angeles. Accommodating

I stayed for 2 days for business trip, I arrived at 8am and ask the reception if they could keep my luggage until check in time, but to my surprise they gave me my room right away, they are very accommodating, nice staff, clean.

VIP is Real

It was my birthday and I came in to Hotel with no RSVP not only did they give me a great rate but treated my like a VIP ,made my long flight bumps ,way better by there services.Great happy staff and manger was nice and easy to reach for anything .

Center of Calgary

This hotel is very convenient to central Calgary, within walking distance of the pedestrian shopping streets, the theatre, art museum, and Chinatown. It is right across from the Calgary Tower. They have valet parking, as there is very limited parking around there.There are also lots of hidden extras, for WiFi, for breakfast in the hotel's dining room, and for parking. Be forewarned.

Great hotel, great location, great service. However, the details says "Valet" parking. To me, this means I tip the Valet parking attendant. There was a $25 per night parking fee. Disclosure not cleared, may have stayed at another hotel.

Nice room to stay

The hotel room was nice, spacious and clean with no smell. The beds were nice and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located but the downside is that they have no space for parking. This is a great inconvenience for people with car. A note of caution, they charge exorbitant price for some local phone calls with the pretext that they were long distance. They don't listen to reasons.

What a nice find, to get Marriott for pretty good value when Banff, Lake Louse, and Canmore were full!Very comfortable, and nice spacious room! I especially love the gadget console for the TV!

Convenient downtown location

I was staying in Banff but had an early morning flight from the Calgary airport, so spent the night before in this hotel. It was convenient to restaurants and shops, so I had a very pleasant evening, then had no trouble getting a taxi to the airport at 4:30 AM..

Perfect Stay for Business Trip

I was so grateful to have a great experience. I arrived in Calgary at 1:30am after a 3 hour delay and had to get up early for a speech. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The staff was polite. The Starbucks in the lobby was extremely handy after just a few hours of sleep. I would highly recommend the Calgary Downtown Marriott to anyone who needs a very nice and comfortable stay.

Good hotel overall.

Great location, good hotel!

The only problem was that we were there the final two nights of the Stampede, on a lower floor, and the street noise was disturbing, but didn't go on too long. Ask for an inside room if you're worried about noise.

Great service and super clean.

We stayed here to enjoy a wedding. It was close enough to downtown so that we could enjoy the festivities downtown before attending the wedding. It was all that we could ask for.
