One of the best!
A slice with a salad. Perfect lunch! And the warm spinach salad is so amazing! LOVE the Tuscan pizza! Coffee and cheese cake can't be beat. Ambiance delightful. Always well served and delicious!

Warm spinach salad is awesome!! Have it almost everytime I go. Pizza and Bruscetta also my faves. Don't get me started on the cheesecake. Hands down the best cheescake I have had in pictou county!
Yummy
I often go with family and there's something for everyone. The pizza is tasty, the sandwiches are great, and I love the warm spinach salad. If I were a dessert person, that case of giant cheese cakes would do me in for sure.

Mediterranean Seafood Soup so good
August 04, 2014On a Sat. Summer evening a great place to meet friends,chat and eat. The service was great and seemed to really have a team approach. My soup was so delicious and my companions had the veggie melt that looked appetizing. Will go back again and again.

Simple is sometimes nice

This place is a very small quite place. The wife and I always stop here when in new glassgow. The interior is boring an old. But the food is very tasty and well priced. It's not high in dinning but you get what you pay for.

Homemade food

Very good food

Looking from the outside we had our doubts but the food was excellent. What it is lacking in atmosphere is made up for in the quality of the meal.
We were however disappointed in the service. After our plates were cleared there was no offer of coffee or any of their fabulous looking desserts only that we could pay inside....

Great little place, would return
June 11, 2014Stopped here on my way to Cape Breton after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. The pizza was excellent, service was good, fast. Only complaint was that the pop just tasted like water. But the prices were good, atmosphere was good, so I'd return!

Great Spot for Supper

We enjoy Cafe Italia. Food is always good, service is equally good. The setting is relaxed. Prices are great. Only drawback, they need a little more seating.

Try the house special the penne del polo
August 08, 2013I like this restaurant a lot. I recommended the house special to a friend with considerable experience in the restaurant business in Toronto and Montreal, and she found the penne del polo excellent. Also the bill was reasonable. In prior visits to Café Italia the servers have been attentive but not intrusive, and the ambiance is relaxed and welcoming. RHODA

superb place for a light lunch
June 28, 2013cafe Italia has been around for at least 12 years and is well appreciated by locals-you might have to wait for a table at lunch but it is worth it. it speaks well for New Glasgow that this place is only rated as number 8.tremendous value and excellent food.one possible off note-the seating could be better.

Food and service were ok, not very large portions
February 24, 2013I was here once and it was just ok. I didn't find the portion sizes to be very large and my greek salad was pretty pathetic, not much to it at all. delicious food on a budget

I'm still not sure how they can stay in business with such delicious food for so cheap... I was in a party of 4 and we all order pasta or pizza and the bill came out to $30 and this included soft drinks.
The food is very yummy too as I've been back a few times to try different pizza...

March 18, 2012The best garlic fingers anywhere! The pizza crust is sweet and love the meat-lover's pizza. Haven't had anything there that I didn't like. The only negative is that it is very hard to get a seat, especially on a Friday night so we often get take-out. (Packed because it is so good).

Not to be missed
February 15, 2012This downtown gem is consistently great. The pizzas are thin crusted and delicious. The "Combos" of choice of soup or salad and pizza slice and beverage are the best bargain in town. Tuscan Tuesday is very popular as the pizza of the day is Tuscan Chicken. Homemade soups are wonderful too. Very busy at lunchtime, but worth the wait.

The Best in Town

Excellent food for the value
July 23, 20113 of us had pasta, and one had pizza. The food was very good and service friendly and helpful. 1/2 portions are available for kids as the portions are quite large. There is a small patio when the weather is good. We would definitely recommend.

The old Paradise pizza recipe is awesome but the staff here ruin the the meal nearly every time we visit. Many times you will wait a long time before the dishes are cleaned or drinks to be served. It doesnt seem to matter when you go its always the same scene.
