Delicious. Quick, friendly service. Nice intimate atmosphere.
The pasta was slightly oily. I had an appetizer with olives, then a main with lots of olives (didn't notice it on the menu). I was olive'd out by the end. The mushrooms were delicious.
The avocado martini didn't taste like avocado... i'd probably settle with a rye and ginger next time.

Convenient location

We sat outside hoping it would be quieter than indoors but a band started to play in the square. This made it a little more difficult to carry on a conversation. Also, the food was not as delicious as I thought it should be for the price. I had eaten there before and the food was quite tasty on that occasion and justified the price.

Quiet evening with great food

Our Thursday night visit to Bymark was more quiet than we thought it would be. Interesting specialty drinks began the meal, followed by excellent ravioli and beef filet. The side dishes are not to be missed. Service was excellent, as we had our waiters full attention due to small crowd. Slick, modern design as well.

Deliciously shareable

Innovative appetizers like shrimp "tacos" (shrimp and aioli "salad" in crispy beet "shells"), and individualizable entrees like tender grass fed filet mignon with your choice of sauces (horseradish, green peppercorn and orange, etc), make for a memorable and palette pleasing meal. I love this place. It is businessmen place all day. On dinner it is best. When you are hungry, there really eat. It does not happen to me that I should taste of essentially the entire menu, there is. I like their cuisine.The cozy ambience with a nice clear style.

Beautiful surroundings but very noisy at lunch time. Staff were excellent and the appetizers were also great. I had blackened cod with chickpeas which was very nice but not worth the price. After being at a fundraiser at the Toronto Club, my friend and I were hungry and thirsty. We had valeted our car, earlier at Bymark. We decided to have something to eat before our journey home. I had winterlicious and the food was ok. I had the bymark burger which is on their regular menu. It was ok, but I had better burger elsewhere. The service was ok especially during busy lunch time.

Winterlicious...not so great

I heard amazing things about this restaurant, but I admit I haven't gone yet for proper dinner. A friend and me went for Winterlicious lunch. It was good, but you could see that the food wasn't that amazing. Everything good tasting, but I expected a little more.

Great Steak Tartar

This is one of Mark McEwen's restaurants that has predictable high end food. The patio in the summer is very nice. The dinning room is dark sometimes cozy and some times cold.

Another visit. Another great meal. The menu includes enough for most tastes. The chef has an excellent touch. Food is expertly prepared and they are great with gluten issues. Service level is high. A great spot. Too bad it is in a basement but you can't have it all.

Amazing food and ambiance

Absolutely love the atmosphere at this restaurant. The lobster poutine was incredible, and thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails. Our mains were great too. Love this resto and would definitely visit over and over again.

Bymark is one of the best Toronto restaurants

I've been to Bymark a couple of times, once for a birthday celebration, and once when friends came in from the U.S. It's the kind of place to take people and not worry about them not enjoying the meal!

This is my favorite place

Mark is a genius. Darlene is a service artist. Brook...ah Brook. This is the Toronto experience. The service is a ten, the food is a ten. The outdoor patio in the summer is heaven, quite, scenic, relaxing. I love it. They can do nothing to improve. Way to go guys, you are running on all cylinders.

This, in my opinion, is one of the better spots in Toronto. The menu is comprehensive. The chef has a great touch with flavours. Lobster poutine is outstanding for instance! Very nice service. Only issue is the fact that the location is underground. No windows. But lovely overall.
