The Bond Place Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Toronto. We are steps away from the Eaton Centre, the Theatre District, and within walking distance from many corporate and government offices
Was in Toronto for a few days and I stayed at the Bond Place Hotel because of the close proximity of hotel to a major shopping center, theaters and for the fine choice of eating establishments. The hotel itself had improved greatly since my last stay a few years back. Ron was very clean and bed was very comfortable. You get value for you dollar and I will stay again in ever in Toronto
Stayed here for a couple of days in late May, primarily as a base to visit Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. Wasn't disappointed in the Bond Place - room was spacious for a city centre hotel and we were just a spit from the Eaton Centre for shopping and dining. The room was serviced every day of our stay with clean linens and towels. One word of caution - steer clear of the alleged... more
Despite the somewhat shabby neighbourhood, this hotel represents good value for money as: - it is very central (easy access to Eaton Centre/City Hall/Financial district and an easy walk to Harbourfront. - it is staffed by helpful and knowledgable staff - the rooms are a decent size and are kept clean On the downside, the dining room (altho cheap) is somewhat lacking in atmosphere (opens... more

The Hotel was located one block from an interesting square (next to the Subway stop) with daytime street merchants an evening steet artists.
This hotel was beyond disappointing. The service was sub par, and did not even compare to that of a hostel. We had to call for towels on two seperate days, 4 times before towels were delivered to our room!!!! There was also long black hairs all over our bathroom, and in our towels!! The front desk staff were incompetent and seemed very unfamiliar with the hotel and with toronto. I feel that... more
We found the Bond Place Hotel to be a basic and clean property in a good location, being close to both the Eaton Centre and the subway. I would recommend it to travellers looking for good value accommodation who don't need all the extras.
Great value for the money. Also, found the location to be near everything. Once we parked, we never had to drive or even use public transportation. We will definitely be back.
Very clean property, staff was very proffesional and pleasant. Located in the heart of Torontojust a walk away from everything you need to do downtown. Excellent value for the money. I would definitelly recomend.
Hotel fell short of expectations. Great location and cheap parking, but that's it. Questionable service and sub-par rooms (dirty sheets and ashes in the toilet). Plus, they didn't have the queen we asked - only two twins. Won't be going back.
This is the perfect location for exploring Toronto. Rooms are nice and clean. Can only recommend it!
Great location if you wish to be in the heart of downtown Toronto. Rooms are small but well appointed and recently upgraded. Some renovations are still being completed but not a bother, really. Price is consistant with the location. We were happy with our stay and would use the hotel again.
Good location, 2 mins walk to Eaton Centre, can be noisy if near the main road but very good value for money. Rooms cleaned everyday
60s decor. Crowded. Unable to process special requests. Maid left my room open after cleaning for a full day, luckily nothing was missing when I returned. Reception mixed up rooms and ended up giving our room key to another guest who walked in while my mother was in the shower. Complaints not dealt with at all.
The hotel downgraded us from king/queen to double. They wanted to charge us extra to upgrade us to king/queen. It seems that I should be given a refund for the difference OR AT LEAST GIVE US FREE PARKING (CHARGE WAS $30)
The Bond Place Hotel is situated in a great location, right next to the Eaton Center. The rooms are quite small, but we were only using it to rest our weary heads at night. The shuttle from the airport drops off and picks up right at the hotel doorstep. Being so close to the city lights and action can be a little noisy at night but it is close to shopping, foodcourts, restaurants and both train... more
The Bond has been totally transformed into a chic little boutique hotel. Very comfortable amenities. Close to everything. Wonderful!
We enjoyed the last minute deal we got for our room. It was small but had everything we needed and was clean.
Thought this hotel was great! I've stayed at many places in downtown Toronto; all more expensive than the bond hotel but I feel that this hotel is better value and have now stayed here twice because of that. It is really clean and the rooms look like the pictures. Plus it is practically beside the Eaton Centre mall and walking distance to lots of other good shopping, dining and entertainment. I... more
We were looking for a clean, affordable hotel that was centrally located. The Bond Place hotel was perfect! The staff at Check-In was very welcoming and helpful. Our room wasn't the largest, but the space was definitely optimized. Beds very comfortable. Had a queen and a double. Room had 2 TVs which was absolutely fantastic while traveling with the kids. VERY clean! Updated room. Had a fridge, extra pillows in closet. The room was just too small for 2 of us to be comfortable. The housekeeping staff was also aggressive and some rude; on our first morning they knocked and entered at 7am. The bathroom was all glass and was basically in the room.
One of the beds have chunky black stuff on them, not sure what they are. Could be poops. I can hear strange noises at night, not sure if that could be a mouse
Rooms were much nicer than the facade of the building might lead you to believe. They charge for WiFi. In 2014.
We booked the Bond Place hotel for our 1st Anniversary weekend getaway. The hotel was located about 2 minutes walking distance from the heart Yonge-Dundas Square and the Dundas train station. Plenty of shopping and restaurants surround the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a little small but perfect in size if you are used to staying in other hotels internationally. The concierge and... more
We only stayed for one night, but it was an enjoyable experience.
Good location but the front desk lady is kind of unfriendly.
Was pleasantly surprised by the modern decor. There was a fridge in the room, as well as a coffee maker. Everything was spotless.
very pleased, would stay there again. i loved the look of my room. no complaints
The hotel is in the heart of downtown Toronto. I didn't realize how great the location was. The hotel itself was clean and very comfortable. The pricing was definitely affordable. The only complaint i have is the lack of attention by hotel staff when calling guest services, front desk or concierge. There were several instances when I called when the phone would continuously ring with no answer... more
Hotel is in a very good location, not a luxury hotel but it was clean and comfortable. We liked the three bed option. Would recommend to others and stay there again.
Small rooms but very clean and close to attractions.
Had a special offer for a two twin bed room with "free Wi-Fi" and "free parking". 1. Twin bed is too small. Don't know what standard is used, but the beds are narrower than your North American twin bed. 2. Free parking was OK, across the hotel. There is no tunnel between the garage and the hotel, so if it's raining or snowing, tough luck. 3. You cannot stop/park your car in front of the hotel,... more
Bond Place Hotel is a small, clean, friendly hotel located close to the Eaton Centre, and therefore in the middle of the action. The room was small, sparsely furnished and clean.
The staff are polite but not overly friendly. The location is excellent as it is very central. Parking is across the street so try to unload luggage at the door before parking. Rooms are clean but they are spartan and small.
It's definitely not a four star hotel even though it tries to look like one. The fact that you have to pay 9$ for 24h of wifi is absolutely ridiculous when I could just walk down the street for free wifi if I wanted to. A bit over priced for the experience.
European style. Affordable and centrally located for everything in Toronto.
Friendly stuff, great juice bar in hotel. Simple, stylish and very functional.
Great location, few steps away from Dundas Square and the Eaton Center
Overall, great and welcoming staff. Room was clean but small, beds where nothing amazing but where fine for a night stay. The location was great, not too far from all the hot spots. Would recommend for anyone needing a great valued hotel in the heart of Toronto. Very nice modern design also.
Great hotel in a surprisingly great downtown area. Would highly recommend!
It's a acceptable for low-price requirements customers. But not a good choice for holidays.
First front Desk staff was very rude, no smile and because booked at short notice and there was no pre-booking printed slip the staff seem disappointed to having look at the a computer for the booking. A credit\bond was required to be place on the room at check in and I was required to provide photo ID for copying which the front desk staff handed back to a completely different person once see... more
it was ok but not for the price they charged us. it didnt appear like the pictures they put on the Ad.
Great location and reasonable price but the rooms are very small and uncomfortable, there are hotels in the same area with similar or lower price with better rooms, that's the only reason I would not stay again in that hotel; everything else staff, cleanliness, location and hotel conditions are very good.
This Hotel is located within walking distance to Dundas Square and there are lots of activities and places (Eaton Center, Broadway theaters, etc.) nearby to keep you busy. The rooms are small but clean and are good value for money.
Thanks to Zia and the fine staff of the Bond Place, our home away from home since 1976.
If you're going to the Ed Mirvish Theatre to see a play (Wicked) or on a shopping trip to the Eaton's Center or for a lovely walk to the CN tower for diner, the Bond Hotel is the perfect location for all these things & more. Clean & comfy rooms, pleasant & helpful staff. This was my 3rd stay here & it has never disappointed me.
Loved where the hotel was located and had a great stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel
The room was very small and the underground parking was very difficult to find.
The Hotel is right downtown Toronto. We used this Hotel because it was in walking distance of the Hard Rock, where we had a pin trading event. Didn't care for the sliding bathroom door or the floors. The floor was sticky not mopped. The electric outlets didn't all work had to search for ones that did. Told front desk but they really didn't say much and also sent a guy up about outlets just has... more
Arrived Sunday afternoon and check in was fast and with out problems Room was clean and smelled fresh and no noise. Wifi worked well and fast Close to the Yonge Street main shopping area recommend Firkin Pub head for Hard Rock 200m away turn left down Yonge 100m on left .
I liked the décor and appointment of entrance and rooms. Room was very minimalistic, well designed and appointed and inviting; but, a bit small. I had booked on line and paid for a room with one queen sized bed with A VIEW OF THE LAKE. On arrival we were told the hotel was sold out and we were put on the 4th floor (no view) but could move the next day for the second night of our stay. We were... more
Hotel was a great location for downtown, however the window noise from the street was considerable. The room was super tiny, but clean.
Good hotel for overnight stay,on airport bus route .Within walking distance of Greyhound bus terminal, underground, art galleries and downtown Toronto.Staff helpful especially staff member at separate desk ,assigned to deal with guests' travel arrangements and flight confirmationif required.
Had a good time in Toronto Went to the theatre. Visit Cathedrale.
The room was very clean and modern and the hotel itself was in an awesome location. Definitely going to stay at Bond Place Hotel again
Partying in the room next to mine andin the corridors all night kept me awake. I did ring down to front desk. they sent "security" up. Butit just started all over again. The architecture of the hallways is hideous. Barbarically ugly. Nasty public spaces. Breakfasts are really bad quality. they do not know how to make hot tea.
Hotel was in the very Center of downtown Toronto and we could get around easily. Rooms were clean and their size was OK. Wireless Internet in the room was additional 9 Dollars per night which is not OK these days and the Hotel restaurant was not pleasing. Also the Hotel didn't have a bar, no mini bar in the room.
A basic hotel with minimum supplies. Customer service at the front desk not friendly n not helpful. Good location. It will be good if the hotel can provide complimentary water and a safe in the room.
Small room in a poorly renovated old hotel! Dim hallways, slow elevators, terrible parking, no area for loading and un loading
Original room provided was very small, did not have side chair or desk....too basic for the money.....larger room provided on request and for additional room fee however not much larger than the first one; did have a chair but certainly not an easy or comfortable one... more
We had a very pleasant with guidance from the staff to help our site seeing that was great.
Great place to stay, right by Dundas - Yonge Square. Close to shops and easy to get anywhere in the city. Only complaint is that it's quite noisy at night and the curtains didn't close 100%. No problem if you're a heavy sleeper!
The hotel was well located in the city, couldn't be closer than the Eaton Center and easy access to subway station. The TV were not working properly, but it was not an issue since we were not closed in our room. Overall it was great!!
Overall I would recommend this hotel for this experiencing Toronto for the first time. The location is ideal and there is long term parking lot across the street from the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious, and the views are decent.... more
Great location and nice hotel. Didnt have a problem at all very helpful staff and parking was fairly cheap.
This hotel is q/w block from the Toronto version of Times Square and a block from the northern end of the Eaton Center. The hotel rooms are on the small side but clean and close to everything. The city was so unique and very fun. The hotel was in downtown toronto so everything was convenient because it was right there. About an hour and a half away from Niagara Falls and 10 minute walk from China town.... more
Reserved and paid in advance for a queen room, 1 night or $113, upon arrival we were asked for a $250 security deposit - outrageous and never advised beforehand. Then told we had to take a twin room but would comp us free breakfast. When we complained, they found us a queen room, no breakfast. Hotel is in a party area, not a good sleep. Trip was to celebrate birthday, big let down.
When I booked the hotel online and got such a good price, there was a part of me that was a little concerned if I had made the right choice. Even though I had read reviews, examined many maps of downtown Toronto and looked at satellite photos, I still wasn't sure.Once I arrived at the hotel and began interacting with the staff and saw the facilities, I was thrilled that I had stumbled upon this... more
Stayed with a friend for four nights ii a quiet room with two of the smallest beds short of a college dorm. Double bed rooms are apparently scarce in Toronto, so I shouldn't whine. The staff was... more

We got an excellent deal on a room with both a queen and double bed. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff were excellent. Parking is across the street, not in the building. Negatives were that the sliding bathroom door was cumbersome and noisy,... more
Toronto is a really large spread out city but this hotel is pretty central to all of the things we wanted to do. It is right next to the Eaton Center and Dundas Square and the Ed Mirvish theater. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here again
Cet hôtel est situé près de la gare d'autocars et dans un quartier animé.Le personnel est très attentionné et les chambres sont spacieuses.
The hotel is centrally located near Eaton Centre but its on the back side and we saw nothing but panhandlers as soon we arrived. The parking garage is close but its a horrible garage, old and they were painting it when we arrived, so the fumes were unbearable and the day we left, the fumes were still there. Not pleased.
Not bad. Although this hotel has it’s shortcomings, overall I would consider it a pretty good value, especially considering it’s central location (a short walk from the Eaton Centre and the Subway). The location is a bit of a drawback as well, however; anything immediately east of Yonge Street is sketchy and quite ugly (in my opinion). Tourists would do well to simply turn west the minute... more
The location is good....but, calling ahead took 40 mins of being on hold. Person I spoke with on the phone gave me a firm quote and said one room was left. The hotel is fairly modern at a great location, close to shopping centres. The staff are helpful and friendly.
everything great the people are freandly and super amables me encanto el lugar y el hotel
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpfull, I had to pay 40$ for 8 days of wifi
Very close, walking distance, to a lot of places and things like the Dundas square, eaton centre, City hall, theatres and many restaurants and pubs. You can take a walk along the ever busy Yonge street (world's longest street).
It was pretty good.. Great location just by Dundass square!! The rooms are small but comfortable.. The only complaint I have about this hotel is that they charge you for Wifi!!! Nobody likes paying for Wifi... and if you consider to pay it was $9 for 24 hours..
Hotel is right in downtown Toronto. We were able to park the car for the whole trip and walk everywhere. This hotel is very central. Room was clean and modern. Business Queen room only provides 2 wifi codes. We had 4 devices, so that wasn't quite enough for us. No continental breakfast, and microwaves are not standard in all rooms. Overall, I would definitely go back, but would likely book a... more
Location is ok, Rogers Centre is a 30 minute walk which is pretty easy, the beds are very uncomfortable everyone had trouble sleeping each night. Wifi is not included with your room, you have to pay an extra 8.95 per night. Parking is fairly cheap at $20 and is located across the street from the hotel.Overall, if you can get a deal this hotel is worth checking out.
This was my first trip to Toronto, much less Canada. I can honestly say I hate cities, I already had to make the trip, so I decided to make a mini vacation out of it. Nothing fancy, but the location is good, the rooms are clean, well appointed, bathroom is nice (a shower that doesn't require lengthy study before you get the temperature right!), and the price can't be beat. Recently renovated rooms, knowledgeable front-desk staff but that's about it. Rooms are very small (which is expected), mattresses are lumpy and the heating/cooling system is very passive and there's only a limited amount of hot water.
Rooms were very clean, cleaning services very attentive.
Located very central and it's decently priced. WiFi is included for up to two devices for your stay....

Horrible night. The room was tiny. The heather just beside my bed ( two twin). So for the whole night the hot/cold air was blowing on me. The fan was very very loud.. I called a staff at 1:40 am not help at all.I only slept a couple of hours. Of course the day after was ruined as well. Headache for the whole day and tired. “Excellent service. I do not like that despite the fact that we upgraded to two Queen beds costing us 30 dollars more, they charged us $10pp even though its obviously meant for 4 people. Other than that, the room itself was nice for what we paid, very neat, and well taken care of.”
Hotel was decent enough. I have to be honest and say that the photos online are way nicer than your actual room will be, but that's ok, this is true in most cases. The lobby is the nicest part of the hotel, it got the best aesthetic treatment from the aforementioned construction. The staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are basic and are evident that you paid a low... more
“ The hotel was very cramped with no gratis items in the room, the first offer was for single beds. That wouldn't work, the view in our room was awful but the other side of the building would have been fine. ”
“ The hotel is located directly adjacent to Dundas Square, is close to mass transit, local attractions and restaurants, and downtown Toronto. ”
This is totally a solid hotel considering the price and location. I stayed here during the Toronto Film Festival, and it was the best spot I could've imagined. Walking distance to pretty much every theater and attraction I could want, and a very quick and cheap cab ride to the few places I didn't feel like walking to. The hotel itself is reasonably priced and the rooms are clean and... more
“Avoid this at all cost, had I known, I wouldn't stay here.”
“Would be a good place if you are on a business trip and don't expect a lot for your money. Not a good hotel for families.”
“It was very modern/European style. Located 5 minute walk from Eaton Center (which is undergoing construction partly). About 30 minute walk from Royal Ontario Museum. Parking in Toronto is very expensive so plan well, but that's not the hotels fault. A large variety of restaurants were within walking distance.”
The best hotel for your money. This place is perfect for the fun and adventurous traveler. If you are the type that likes to rise early and go to bed late or even sleep in because you went to bed late, then this hotel is for you. It is conveniently located within walking distances to lots of great Toronto spots, bars, things to see and things to do. It is close to the public transportation too.... more
In every hotel/motel i've ever stayed in there is one common theme, hospitality...well you won't find that at the Bond place. Front desk employees and managers are condescending. I witnessed one employee in front of their manager mutter something rude underneath her breath, when I asked her 'excuse me?' he intervened, "Don't worry about it". So rude...but also unhelpful! I asked about the... more
“ The Bond Place Hotel was perfect for a short (four day) stay in Toronto. My boyfriend and I just wanted something affordable and clean in a good location to access the best parts of the city, and that's exactly what the Bond provided us. I would definitely recommend to younger travelers on a bit of a budget.
”
Do not judge this place by the pictures online - they are ridiculously inaccurate. I understand they're under construction but they start as early as 9am until 6pm...even on a Sunday. We were stuck in a room on the corner and in serious need of a nap but we didn't get much of one in because of all the noise. The room is almost hostel-esque except you get your own bathroom, closet space and... more
DO NOT RESERVE A ROOM HERE!! If your flight cancels or you can't make it for any reason, they won't even give you a partial refund. they also will NOT give you a credit to use for a future date. i spoke with a manager "K" and she was so rude and unaccommodating. completely uninterested in the fact that i was snowed in at the airport w/ every flight around me canceling.
“Our initial impression of the hotel was that it was in a great location. The lobby was very small and had duct tape on the walls and exposed wiring. The room was very small (2 single beds!) but, clean and nicely updated. We turned on the heat in the room on the way out and when we came back there was a horrible odor. It smelled of skunk!”
First of all, this is a budget hotel currently under renovation. Therefore all the mediocre reviews below should take into account that this property is in transition. I first stayed here back in the 80's and gradually watched it deteriorate. So its current condition is great in comparison. The rooms no longer look like photos 11 and 12 posted above. The rest are up to date.* Positives: ... more
“Great location, good price, clean rooms. For downtown Toronto and located right at Dundas Square, this hotel is very fairly priced and was well-maintained.”
“Hotel is completely under construction. Driveway is in shambles. Lobby is non-existent.”
Nice room, soft bed, and great customer service. What a memorable trip!!!
“We have stayed here before and found the location to be excellent, but the rooms very small. No free continental breakfast. It would be good to know if breakfast is offered when booking. Perhaps a certain star level should include a free breakfast as this is very common these days.”
You definetly get what you paid for.Dining: Can't say anything for the hotel. I chose to eat at my favorite Toronto restaurants.Location: Awesome location! Couldn't do better... Actually, staying at my friends house would have been a better idea, but this was good enough.Sleeping: The beds in the newly refurnished rooms are decent enough to sleep in. “My overall stay was great the bed needed breaks as it was on wheels and the floor was wood. As I sat on the bed, it moved over to one end of the room. The room was clean and in a great location.”
“Great place to stay if you just need a place to sleep as it is a very basic hotel.”
“This hotel was in an excellent location but, the room was small for two double beds and the air conditioner/heater was ancient. Overall it was a place to stay at night and get a good nights sleep. I spent most of the time out in the city and the location could not be beat.”
“Was staying Downtown and working there as well is ten minutes by subway to almost everything around.”
“The matressess looked dirty and were uncomfortable. Didn't sleep much.”
“I liked this hotel because it was within walking distance of many major attractions. The staff is personable and friendly. It is very clean. I also liked the fact that I could park my car in an underground garage and that there was someone on duty in the garage.”
“Didn't use bar or restaurant as there were lots of places nearby.”
“The rooms are very small, but the location is good. Beware the rooms with two full size beds. The beds are small and yet they still take up most of the room. That is why I would not describe this place as being family friendly. It does the necessary things (service, location, cleanliness) well.”
“The hotel said that it was recently renovated. I don't see anything new in this hotel. The room that was given to us had two single beds and we could barely walk around. I asked for an upgrade that cost $30.00 more. It had more room but the beds were uncomfortable. Not enough towels per room and they had hair allover them. At least the location was great.”
“I preferred the Delta Chelsea for space and friendly staff.”
“The good things about this hotel are:- It's got a great location. Parking is only 15$ for 24 hours, the cheapest I've ever seen in Toronto. The 2 single beds were about 2 feet apart, one up against the AC and the other against the wall. If you've ever gone on a cruise, the rooms at this hotel are about the same size as an interior stateroom. The staff was friendly enough, the prices at the... more
The hotel lacks much character but was clean and functional, save for a rather noisy air conditioning unit,. It is convenient for the subway and Eaton shopping mall.
We would recommend this hotel to others. It is close to all the attractions and shopping centres in the downtown area. It is also in walking distance to hospitals. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. This hotel met our expectations and the room rates were not unreasonable.
I would definitely recommend the Bond Place Hotel, as it has one of the best locations in downtown Toronto. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. This hotel is definitely the best value for money in Toronto.
“I enjoyed my stay at Bond Hotel. The hotel was clean and neat and the staff was pleasant. The hotel was also located within walking distance to many attractions and sites. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.”
“My wife and I had 2 separate beds. Very small very hard and uncomfortable. The room was hot and air-conditioning was poor during hot summer days. No one to take luggage. Received only 1 room key.”
excellent location in downtown toronto, friendly helpful staff ,clean room and all amenities up to scratch ,highly recommended
The Hotel is located by the Eaton Centre . The hotel is OK but, I was disappointed because you can ONLY get a room with twin beds or a double bed-No Queen nor King size beds. Also, parking was $15./day . Rooms are clean but small. I felt the cost was pricey for what you got.
“It wasn't bad but it would have been a nicer experience to have a larger area to live in. I enjoyed my stay overall.”
“As above close to almost everything that we wanted to do.”
“The hotel seem very nice but the double rooms were way too small. It was very difficult for my party and I to have room to maneuver around the room once we got in there. I also did not like the fact that you needed to pack in an underground parking lot, across the street, and didn't have a tunnel access to the lobby. You needed to take your luggage outside and cross the street. It was raining... more
