Recommended by some friends that live in Vancouver
April 19, 2014Some friends that live in Vancouver suggested that we stop off for lunch on our way back from Whistler and we were very glad that we did. It was busy, but we were given a nice table over-looking the harbour. It was a welcome break in our journey and we would certainly visit again. Give it a try.

Bizarre place
April 13, 2014Decided to come here on Sunday afternoon, lovely sunny day, the restaurant is right on the water so its a perfect venue. A Great place to take your out of town guests

The scenery is amazing. If you reserve, ask for the interior table in the west corner that is near the outside deck. It has always been a hit when I have taken family groups.
It is also a place where us Locals go for premium Seafood.

Could be so much better

The location and views are to die for, wisps of cloud and tendrils of trees clinging to vast granite walls over the ocean. Plus, they have some nice wood burning in the fireplace, so the woodsmoke smells are appealing on rainy days (of which there are a lot in Horseshoe Bay). Plus, the room is beautiful.

Not worth the drive: service, kitchen bad not just poor

This place used to be a decent upscale Keg Steakhouse restaurant.

Nice seafood restaurant with outstanding views

We visited the Boathouse on a lovely sunny Spring day down in Horseshoe Bay.
The menu offers predominantly seafood choices and was a great choice to look out over the horseshoe bay with a snow capped Mountain backdrop.
I had the cod with three pieces for around 19 dollars which is a fairly average price for a restaurant.

Nice and quiet

Wonderful food! Beautiful view

Watch the ferries while you dine
October 13, 2013One of our favorite restaurants on the North Shore! Food is always good, service is great & the view of the BC Ferries coming and going adds to the charm. There's also a busy marina with small boat traffic right below the restaurant. It's especially great in the summertime when you sit outside!

Boathouse family restaurant on the water

Dinner and a sunset
September 06, 2013Visiting Vancouver and the Boathouse was recommended to us by our hotel staff for the food and ambiance. Halibut in Miso was amazing as was the salmon ordered by my husband. The apple crisp was large enough to share with 4. It was great and I would certainly return.

Excellent seafood meals.... fresh ingridents is the word

Unfortunately, I share many other comments about poor service, expensive food not-so-great food.
I went there for a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch. At the entrance, the first rude shock was the valet rushed pass my wife without apologizing.

Amazing Waiter
