A Positive 5 day stay

The motel is newly renovated, tastefully done, rooms are comfortable and clean. I had some minor difficulty with their key system but it was finally resolved after three tries. Clean and quiet. Had family staying in other rooms. Bathroom was too low and senior family had problems with toilet

I had chosen this hotel for the main reason of Breakfast availability. Apparently the person handling this was sick. They're trying, kind of

They recently renovated this place, but hastily. There doesn't seem to be any pride of workmanship because there is paint overspray everywhere, metal door jambs are rusting in the bathroom, new wallpaper wasn't done right and was pulling away in the corners. everything was nice but the bed comfort is very poor.

Room had ants they were in my bed. Later on in the night I ended up finding a ant trap behind the night table. The room was freezing the heater never worked. Hotel is clean and well run. Only complaint was wrt water pressure in shower...washroom was clean and newly renovated but shower had very little water pressure.

We needed wheel chair, handicap accessibility. There was no elevator, or ramp. All doors were heavy and spring loaded. The toilet was extremely low.

No pool, no movie channels; not much to do there. If you want to sleep and have breakfast, it was fine.

Our stay

Close to where we needed to be for meetings. Good restaurants not too far away. However, quite noisy with railway tracks close by so the noise of trains going by were not condusive to good sleep.

It was clean. The only thing we do not like is that the hallway is very heavy. Whenever someone opens or closes the door, it was very noisy and we were quite disturbed.

Perfectly useable

The hotel is good for a quick one-night's stay. Close to big highways and VIARail and some rooms have been upgraded. Not something I would choose for a vacation and/or multi day stay. Staff is friendly. Bit of a drag to have to lug luggage in on stairs when room is on higher level. But no major complaints.

Room was good and breakfast was good with lots of selection. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was a discrepancy between the price we booked with and the price we were billed, and they immediately went out of their way to correct the problem.

Nice but Noisy

Hotel is clean and staff is polite and courteous however you might bring a noise machine / fan to soften the sound of the regular trains passing near the rear of the hotel in the night. The morning breakfast was sufficient and saved stopping for breakfast elsewhere and check out was quick.

A Disappointing Experience

We stayed one night on our way to our final destination. The hotel is clean but a bit dated. The hotel is in the process of a renovation so they are in the process of updating. Took a long time to check in. No one was at the front counter at first. Once she processed the paperwork she made a mistake which took a while for her to correct. The room I booked was 1 queen bed and she gave us a dbl queen which was disappointing. The only part I enjoyed was the pillows.

Great service upon check in and departure. Very accomodating when asked to change room from smoking to non-smoking. Great sense of humor. I have only been here for various conferences. I must admit, it is definitely better than the old Dynasty that was here! It wouldn't be my first choice to stay at, but I've seen worse in the area. The meeting/conference rooms aren't a bad size for what they are housing.

GROSS!! Horrible experience, my business requires me to stay at many hotels and I've never run into an issue like this before. Front desk staff untrained in simple tasks such as splitting hotel bill onto 2 credit cards. Lack of knowledge of the area. Totally unprofessional. Air conditioner in room not working. Brought to front desk attention for 2 days. Never fixed, almost unbearable. Stated this happens often. Could/should have offered different room.

Not worth the price we paid

There was nothing attractive or inviting in entering the motel. The pavement was cracked and the carpet on the steps was dirty. The tub mat and the shower curtain had mold on them. There were stains on the carpet. The positive things were that the bed was clean and comfortable and the AC worked. The staff were not very friendly and it was not worth the money I paid for the room!

Pleasant surprise

We were in town visiting family. The hotel was clean, in a location near malls & shopping, and was right off the exit. We just stayed one night so we didnt get to experience the breakfast or exercise room but both appeared to be of good quality. Just the fact that the hotel was clean and recently renovated was what made it a very nice stay.

good and bad

room was clean, great breakfast. But side door key didn't work a few times, got in late and had to walk around to front of hotel at night. staff was nice, but sometimes had to wait until they returned.
