the only negative was at check in they put a 50 dollar hold on my credit card (room was already paid for) and told me it would expire the next day at check out. Comfort and convenience

This is a lovely hotel, with attractive rooms and great amenities, an easy walk from downtown Chemainus. The rooms are actually suites, well-equipped for cooking if you chose. An excellent breakfast is included.

A great Port in the Storm

Tavelling with my blind mother; room cleanings each day were hit and miss but all in all a good experience. The room is well appointed and if you are willing to advocate on your own behalf to get what you need then it is no problem.

Family friendly environment.

From check in to check out (four days) we were treated in a very warm, hospitable manner. We were travelling with both a seven year old child and a seven month old baby, and found the staff very accomodating when we had specific requests (high chair in the suite). The breakfast provided was wonderful and a perfect start to busy days in the Chemainus/Duncan area.

Enjoyable, Clean and Friendly

I stayed one night with my 1 year old daughter and mother. The hotel was really clean and well maintained. The staff were all helpful and friendly! We really enjoyed our free breakfast it was delicious. Our favourite part was the pool it was a great time. We will definietly be back.

A nice place to stay

We recently stayed at this hotel while attending the Chemainus Theatre. The staff were all friendly and the rooms were spacious, attractive and very clean. The included buffet breakfast had lots of variety and the breakfast room was very pleasant. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, close to restaurants, golf course and Theatre. One down fall is that there are no king sized beds or suites. Is a 'green' hotel so that the bedding and towels are only replaced as you wish and not every day.

We were disappointed to find the boiler had not heated the saltwater pool and was not able to be fixed that weekend. Also, the fridge had not worked the previous night. Very nice modern facility. We rented a suite to accomodate five adults and it worked well for our family. We enjoyed the pool with the kids and the breakfast service was better than average. The location allowed for easy walking to the centre of town.

Holiday Trip

The only criticism I would make is the slow operating speed of the elevator. In a hotel that size there should probably be 2 elevators. I thought the breakfast was much improved since I last visited. we also like the proximity to the Chemainus Theatre.

We stayed in a suite at this Best Western and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very nicely decorated and equipped with a kitchenette. This was the nicest Best Western that we have stayed in and we highly recommend it to anyone travelling in the area. The breakfast is outstanding.

Comfortable beds, pool area, conveniently located near the theatre and the town of Chemanus.

This is a very nice, modern Best Western property. The attention to detail including the pet treats and wipes in the lobby is a very nice touch and makes pet owners feel very welcome. The hot breakfast buffet offered a large variety of options beyond the common selection seen at most hotels.

Turned a chore into a mini vacation.

I wanted to be closer to my event but Chemainus was as close as I could get. That said, it was well worth the extra few minutes of driving. My room was spotless and well organized. The staff was very helpful. Comfort of room would have been superb save for the green light on the smoke detector which is directly over the bed, it has a bright green light that shines like a little night light.

Everything was lovely except the room was stuffy and needed air. The hotel was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel but guest(s) were smoking on my floor and the entire hallway smelled of cigarette smoke.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Our room was larger and more up to date than we had expected. After a day on the road bicycling the hot tub was hot and clean and waiting for us! The breakfast was far superior to other hotel breakfasts that come included with your room - eggs bacon sausages fruit as well as all the expected breakfast carbohydrates. We booked a room and were amazed to get a suite like that. Separate bedroom, two tv's, well-stocked kitchen. Nice quiet location, perfect if you golf, or for visiting Chemainus downtown.

Clean & Big Room.

Polite and friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, silent

We stayed at two Best Western Hotels. Chemainus was lovely and clean and good breakfast. Victoria was twice the price and half the hotel. I suppose this is due to the age of the hotel. Both had great food. The staff were lovely in both and we would certainly look to Best Western again .

We now feel very much at home when we check in to this BW facility as it is so convenient to the theatre and we usually combine it with the show package which makes the whole Chemanius experience most delightful. We happened to stay in this hotel a few days after it opened back in 2005 and enjoyed our stay as we explored the surrounding area. Five years later it's just like it was when it first opened. Everything is clean and fresh, right down to the duvets on the bed. The continental breakfast is very good as well. This is a nice hotel!

The best part of my trip was the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was huge. I would absolutely stay there again. Oh yes, and the continental breakfast was the best I've ever had!!!!

Comfort For The Whole Family

This was a very comfy 3 night stay in a nice part of Vancouver Island. The continental breakfast was more like a buffet than a morning snack . The breakfast area was first class and the pool and hot tub were clean and comfortable. I must say for what we paid and what we got the value was extraordinary.Can't wait to go back as we will be making this short staycation a regular on our calendar.

Stayed in a room that was a "suite." Very comfortable and roomy. Continental breakfast was great. Staff was very nice.

Not fancy but a very comfortable and convenient hotel. Quiet room provided good sleep, plenty of space, nice layout with small kitchen. An OK continental breakfast was included. Friendly staff.

This is a new - less than 5 years, I think - facility in a quiet town called Chemainus. You won't hear highway noises at this hotel, as it is nicely tucked a couple of kms away from Highway 1 near a golf course. I've stayed here several times and never had less than a happy stay. Nice Hotel in Cute Town

The hotel itself is new and looks great, and the staff are very courteous. The room layout is odd (at least for a queen bed unit) but functional, and the breakfast gets a little backed up, but overall it's a perfectly decent place to stay. The town is quite nice, and is not too far away, though the closest buildings are a bit run down.
