Great quality, old-fashioned charm!
The food here is excellent! and for those on a tight budget, you can easily find something for not a lot! Their soups are all home-made and are available in the freezer section. Same with the salad dressings, turkey, roast beef and pickled tongue! The best thing on the menu is easily the Grilled chicken Caser Sandwich, which is a grilled chicken with cheddar cheese, amazing caesar salad sprawled all over it OMG so yummy!

Terrific pastrami on rye
July 03, 2014I visited the deli during a late lunch (around 1pm) with my husband, and an old school chum. We were served quite quickly and the food was delicious. June 24, 2014I go to Bernstein's Deli about twice a month and it is always great! The soup, sandwiches and breakfast are all excellent. Make sure you grab a matzah ball soup to take home with you.

September 04, 2013I attended a wedding breakfast at Bernsteins and the food was great! Bagels/lox/cream cheese, cinnamon bread, delicious scrabbled eggs and great coffee. I would definitely come here again when I am in Winnipeg.

Hidden Treasure That's Worth The Wait

Great to find a hidden treasure like Bernstein's Deli which is almost lost in a strip mall.
The menu is far reaching and the food quality is deli-licious. Service is absolutely pathetic but the wait is almost worth it. 20 to 30 minute waits seem to be normal but the food quality makes it a manageable pain.

Bernstein's Delicatessen is the finest establishment I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The following items on the menu are respectively, the best in Winnipeg: Corned Beef on Rye. Turkey Breast on Rye with hot mustard, Clubhouse, Beef and Barley Soup, Borscht. It's not even up for debate.
