I love Calzones, man, they know how to make calzones. I have never had one that good before. Homemade dough, fresh ingredients, friendly atmosphere! Great price for the food. Pair it with an authentic Italian soda and you're set! Takes about 15 minutes to cook once ordered.

I had heard from a couple people about this place and how I should try it out. I have to say I have had better. I was really disappointed and we had two different calzone to ensure we got to sample a couple styles.

I had never tried a calzone until Battistas. Even my pizza deploring humans were impressed! Although they have a small menu with only a few varieties, they do a great job of each flavor. I finally tried this place for lunch last week. It is quite a drive from where I work; the calzone was $8.50 and the gasoline to drive there was probably $8.50. But it was worth it to have that sweet taste of cheese and tomato sauce.

Let's just start with: I hate tomato sauce, and yet while I'm here, I eat the extra that comes as a dipper for the calzone.

And that's the part of the meal I like the least.
