Lobster Tails

Had the twin lobster tails. After eating whole lobster all over the Maritimes and working hard to get at the meat it was nice to have to do little to enjoy this meal...The tails were very large and well worth the price, which was very reasonable. The service was excellent also

Good RIbs and Chicken, decent wine selection at decent prices. Service was fast and attentive but not fake or pretentious, went early, about 6pm on a weekday. Overall, good experience will go back.
They also had outdoor setup, I ate inside, nice building near casino/historic prop.

After dinning in the Halifax area for a week and paying top dollar for any wine, stopped here and found they were one of the few places in the city to embrace corkage. Way to go! Love this Resturant!

Ribs!!! They truly are the best in the city, and the shoe cut fries are my favourite as well. The only downfall is the ribs are so amazing I haven't tried any of the other entrees yet :)

Had a great dinner with our two teenagers. A slight miss on our meals was caught by the waiter before serving. His response and management's made an everyday fun night into something noteworthy. We were overwhelmed by the efficiency and gracious attitude with which the issue was resolved. Good value for money

Went for a family supper and my daughter described the food as delicious. Service was great and the ambience was comfortable. I would recommend for a decent value for dollar meal in downtown Halifax. Getting into the restaurant if you approach from the North side can be difficult. The traffic is quite hazardous.

The service was great... Food was just mediocre. The cheese dip was clearly made with cheese whiz or velveeta....the ribs were skimpy but tasty...it's hard to beat the MicMac Tavern. Atmosphere similar to the keg.

A Great Meal with good Service

Went and had the ribs which are Fall Off The Bone delicious! Sat out on the patio and our waiter was switched not once but three times. I been there twice in January and July of 2013. The location is convenient in downtown close to the waterfront and walking distance from Marriott Harbor front. Drinks and food are average to very good based on the day. The service has always been friendly. Bit over priced for the quality.

Disappointed

We ordered surf and turf and were disappointed at how salty the food was! I scraped off the over abundent spices. Even the mushrooms were excessively salty. Steak was good to great. Lobster was a small scampi sized tail but flavorful. Ironically steak was saltier than the lobster!

A nice restaurant in an old historic building, parking can be difficult ( as it is in all of the downtown core), but the Sheraton next door usually has vacant spots underground.

I'd received a number of recommendations for their ribs & chicken combination but found it lacking. The ribs were "fall off the bone" as advertised but far too salty to taste good. Delicious and filling lunch

Myself and four coworkers went there for the first time for lunch. Each of us enjoyed our meals. Large portions. The soup of the day was included and delicious. We shared a very large piece of chocolate cake. The restaurant has a unique layout with a large upstairs area.

Four of us went to dinner - all very much enjoyed our meals. Spinach dip was very good. They brought a small dessert for a birthday with a sparkler on it. Waitress was very attentive. Nice Atmosphere and good food

This was my first visit and was not disappointed! The server was attentive and friendly. The ribs were terrific! There should have been a vegetable included with the ribs and potatoes in my opinion. Healthier and more color would have been a good addition. Prices were affordable as well.

Great Downtown Location

Good downtown location in Halifax opposite the water front. The food is good and the service is good. The menu choices are good and the prices are fairly reasonable. There were a few staff Christmas parties happening while we were there, so it was a bit noisy. The overall atmosphere is quite nice. We will go back again!
