This 12-room inn has been a local landmark since 1849, when it was a stagecoach stop; now it attracts businesspeople, as well as vacationers and locals who like coming to the old, familiar hotel for special occasions. Sad, dirty place
29 août 2012We stayed for one night in August, we made the reservation over the phone and hadn't seen the room first. Big mistake. The room was tiny, and the carpet really dirty. Filthy. Quaint and cheerful in the heart of the Eastern Townships

Great little hotel in the heart of Knowlton Quebec. Good restaurant at the hotel, and with many bistros in and around the area. We were there in the fall and many had restricted hours due to the off season.

Great location for Fall
05 octobre 2011The hotel location is great for visiting the small towns in the Eastern Township. There are wineries, covered bridges, art shops and cheese stores along the roads in and out of Knowlton. The fall leaves were exceptional in the area which added to the charm of staying in a historic inn. I agree with the other reviews on this page.

Comfortable hotel with good restaurant

Coming from Western Canada, there is something quite intriguing about staying at in inn built in 1849 that is “the oldest continuously operating hotel in the Eastern Townships”.

Visited this inn with my girlfriend during Labour Day weekend last year. We stayed 2 night and we couldn't have been happier.
Excellent clean room that was larger than the pictures on the website lead us to believe!

Wonderful, delightful place to stay
01 janvier 2010Just spent a week over the Christmas holidays at Auberge Knowlton, and would highly recommend it. My wife, older daughter, and our elderly yellow lab, had a suite, and found it to be quite nice. We stayed at the Auberge Knowlton 2 years ago and enjoyed it; the location is a perfect stop between our 2 travel points. The first visit was fine, and we enjoyed the attached restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

Beautiful historic building in the heart of a charming community

The Auberge Knowlton appealed to us because of it's long history and interesting location. It was also reasonably priced and offered a package deal with a fantastic local restaurant - (Le Relais - which is also in the same building.)
There is something magical about staying in the same building that wagons stopped at in the 1840's.
