I have been in the neighbourhood for over 27 years, i for the last 5 years been a manager at one of Hilton hotel
Terrible service and disgusting food. I ordered Arturo's through their online ordering service at 6:00pm Nov 28, 2015, and scheduled it to be ready for 7:00pm so I could pick it up on my way home. When I arrived the man told me I should have called and ordered because they made it right when I ordered and it had been sitting for over 25 minutes. I told them I had scheduled it but he said they... more
2 stars for the food, 4 stars for the price = a solid 3.
i had the pasta of the day which was penne, and it came in a choice of rose, alfredo, and meat sauce i believe. i chose the meat sauce, and it wasn't anything special. it tasted like meat sauce i could make at home. but the pasta was perfectly al dente which was an added plus.
extra points for the salad and the garlic bread though...all...

Enjoy coming here for my usual sandwich and salad. Branching out into pastas. Recommend for a quick meal. Staff is attentive and friendly. Also works with my later than most lunch hour between 1:30-2:30.
Went to Arturos last evening for a quick meal before going out. We had been there before - but were not aware that the ownership had changed, resulting in a very different menu from previous visits. Service was very pleasant and the food very good and the atmoshphere casual and friendly. Our group tried three of the salad offerings -... more
Get the ravioli in rose sauce. Sooooo yummy. Portion's juuuuust right.
I was there following a (De)tours walking tour on organic food. We'd had a long walk and were famished. OUr group of 7 was served quickly. The prices were in the 10-18$ range which is reasonable for dinner. Pizzas were a good size. Easily shareable with two people. Server was fantastic. The house chianti was superb and the...

We stopped in for an early supper - just something light before a movie - to discover that Arturo's is under new ownership (and management). We like the old one but, hey, we were seated and time was running out. Well, what a delightful surprise!
Having agreed on a pizza - from an extensive list of tempting choices - we...

It is not the same anymore... 2 stars maybe a harsh rating but truth of the matter is, I would still go to a 3 star rated spot and since I do not plan on going there again, 2 stars it is. Arturo's is under new management and I could tell right as soon as we walked in. The first impression was positive: the placed seemed tidier and cute red and white checkerboard tablecloths spruced up the... more
We just had lunch at Arturo's, which is apparently under new management and in the process of re-doing their menu.
The outside facade is pretty dated and discouraging, but once inside, you find a cozy space with pleasant booths and small tables with red and white checkered tablecloths. Courteous service -- a warm welcome, fast with the water, and a...

Small quaint restaurant offering sandwiches, pizza , pasta. Reservations a must for larger groups. Great for lunch.
Went here for dinner with the in-laws Saturday night. We were all huge fans! The menu isn't very extensive and I don't like the fact that you don't know what pastas they are serving until you get there BUT everything is delicious so it's OK.
The restaurant itself isn't huge (and small ktichen so it's a bit of a wait for your food), nor does it have any sort of ambiance, it's pretty casual. All...

I visited Arturo's for a work lunch. We had a lunchtime reservation for 8 people. I am torn as to how I should rate this restaurant as the food was very food, but the service wasn't
FOOD: The food was very good, I enjoyed a chicken bruchetta panini and soup. Very good, served warm. I can't say anything bad about...

Decided to try Arturo's for lunch. The Homemade Soup and sandwiches are good. They offer a variety of cold/hot sandwiches and pair them with soup or salad. It is a small place. Décor could use updating and service is on the slower side due to space. If you are not in a rush and looking for a good sandwich stop... more
I have had the gluten free pasta and pizza here. It was ok but not very tasty. The wine selection is good and the service was great.
My husband and I were very impressed with the five-course special Italian dinner. The main course consisted of lamb that melted in your mouth. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was similar to that of a neighbourhood bistro in Italy. Very relaxing Italian music in the background and a festive mood prevailed. We look forward to the next Italian... more
We've been going to Arturo's since it opened, most recently a few weeks ago. The locale is small, intimate if you like. It is real Italian food. The menu is limited, but always excellent.
Portions are reasonable--sufficient and not super-sized, which I appreciate.
If you are very hungry, get an hors d'oeuvre, but ask for more bread with it.

Very busy and very friendly restaurant with the owner in the open kitchen greeting and talking with the customers as they enter. Was there for lunch which was delicious and well prepared. Server was attentive and very nice. We will go back.
I have been to this restaurant many times for both lunch and dinner. Both services are Homeruns! For lunch the menu is great and be sure to ask for daily specials. I often just come in for a soup and sandwich to go. These are home made fresh meals for under $10. You can’t beat that deal in both quality... more
I tried Arturo's for the first time yesterday. The service was friendly and prompt. The food (take out, spaghetti & meat balls w a salad) was average-to-good. Definately worth another try to see how the rest of the menu is.
Checked this place out after living in the area for two years. The decor is less than inspiring for the neighborhood but the specials sounded great. The server was very kind and friendly but the food was just average. The gluten free pasta had no flavour and the pizza, although hot, wasn't award winning.
Two things here - a cheap...

Popped in last minute on weekday and were lucky to get a table. Simple food, tasty and good service. Recommend bringing your own wine ($10 corkage per bottle).
We are regulars at this restaurant - mostly for lunch. Sandwiches and salads are excellent. Pasta dishes are very tasty. This is a perfect neighbourhood eatery.
People from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, know that the northern city's large Italian community has developed its own version of New World Italian cuisine. Tomato sauces are simple and savoury. Pizzas are homestyle. Pastas fresh. Meatballs rule.

This is a comfortable family and friends type of dinner place. The food is consistently good, not fancy, not great, but good. The big plus is that you can bring your own wine. It makes for a cozy night.
Artuor's was a nice discovery for us. While it doesn't look that exciting from the outside, it is well worth the visit. The inside is plainly decorated, but covered in tributes to the owner's grandather, Arturo. The best way to describe the food is "Sault Ste Marie Italian", as that city has a large, isolated Italian community that melds traditional,... more
I have to say the service was super friendly. The food was delicious. Lasagna baked to order. I was a little disappointed that the gnocci was not home made, but still was tasty. The server did not know alot about the wine they were serving, when we asked she said it was "vqa" wine. But her charming disposition made up... more
You can't go wrong with Arturo's! Perfect for a a weeknight dinner, Arturo's is one of my local favorites. The food always tastes fresh, they have great variety and the pasta specials change every day. The homemade pasta rivals the best italian restaurants in Ottawa - except this place is half the price! The Antipasto plate is also amazing.

My Mom and I were looking for somewhere different to go to lunch, so we decided to try this Italian restaurant/food store nearby. Arturo's has a great selection of appetizers, pasta, pizza and sandwiches.
It took us a while to decide what we wanted. In the end I chose a Turkey Gorgonzola Panini, with arugula and caramelized onions.
I had coffee first, it was perfect: strong the way I like it...

Great Pizza! Love the Pizza! Fresh basil, kalamata olives, really delicious sausage, yummy cheese. Friendly service. It's like the classic local hangout.
Go for a casual nice cozy dinner. Licensed resto.
Veal or chicken cutlet sandwiches for lunch are very satisfying.
Oh Wow, and the cookies that are André's grandmother's recipes! So Good!!!
I was shopping along Beechwood one evening and grew a little bit peckish - hey, it's not that difficult with all the restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops in the neighbourhood! I spotted Arturo's Market and ALMOST didn't go in because I assumed it was a grocery store. Well, let me tell you, Arturo's ain't just a market! Sure they sell some European cooking ingredients. But, the heart of this... more
