Fresh lobsters, both live and cooked, along with local scallops and 90,000 gallon salt water tank for viewing the lobsters, located on the beach, with picnic tables outside for dining.
Best lobster experience of life.
For 18$, I got a lobster larger than the size of my head, a potato salad, and some garlic butter. There's absolutely no pretentiousness here. You grab a tray, pick a lobster, and chow down on probably one of the messiest meals of your life.
We made a day of it and visited the bay...

Excellent experience. Recommend stopping for anyone wanting a great lobster experience. Staff we're very informative and had answers for all my questions. Will go back soon.
We were staying in the area, and visited this shop twice. First time we were just looking around the village, and came to the shop at closing time. However, the owner was really nice, took time to talk to us and we decided to come back here the next day to buy stuff to make seafood dinner.

Very nice people with fresh cooked lobster, Staff were very nice. Young lady working there went above and beyond
We were so looking forward to having lobster after driving for two days from North Carolina. All the signs said 'open' but the shop was closed! No reason given for the closing.
I have lived in NB all my life and have purchased cooked and live lobster from this shop. However, this past summer was the first time I had lunch there and purchased their lobster roll. It was full of chunky lobster pieces (1/4 lb of lobster goodness) with a hint of garlic butter taste. I was with 5 others who... more
Fabulous place to get fresh lobster at a reasonable price. We ordered it cooked and ate it at one of their picnic tables overlooking the bay! At low tide, you can walk off your meal on the beach there. It would be nice if they had more side items to choose from, but I guess if you get a big... more
This beats the pants off other lobster rolls in the Maritimes, and we tried quite a few! There is enough lobster in this roll to make at least two of the portions given elsewhere. The bun literally groans with lobster chunks and the tasty recipe is superb.
We are not from here, and are used to hot lobster. We went into the shop looking to have dinner, and at first we actually felt kind of ignored. We asked what and how...but the girl behind the counter only said...' you can pick a lobster over there.' So we got ourselves an iced lobster, not knowing what was next...Then... more
If you have craving for lobsters, skip the restaurants and go to the Alma lobster shop. You can get amazing fresh, hot or cold lobsters for half the price you pay in the restaurants. We asked for hot lobsters, and had to wait for 15 minutes until they were ready; while we were waiting we walked on a nice beach... more
They cracked the claws so that it made it easier for us to eat when we got back to the Chalet. They also make wonderful lobster rolls!!
I got a 2+ pound lobster for $16 bucks . Friendly staff cracked it for me and offered melted butter or melted garlic butter . Not many choices for side dishes but wtf , I got a huge lobster for $16 bucks
All enjoyed especially our grandson who held a live lobster. We learned a lot about the industry and the operation of shipping across Canada.
Pick your precooked lobster, choose butter plain or with garlic, add some sides and sit on the picnic tables or enclosed patio outside and enjoy. You can bring your own drinks.
Lobster was delicious but a bit salty. Prices are reasonable so you can pick a huge lobster- prices are written right on the claw.
Terrible Service! Staff was very unfriendly and very rude! We left and went to Collins, just down the road, were we were greeted with a smile!
We ate here with our three grandkids. My wife and I had the lobster rolls and the kids had hot dogs. We ate here based on the reviews. I have to preface my comments by saying that we are from the coast of New Hampshire, about 5 miles from Maine and we eat lobster a lot.

They packed us a "picnic" to take back to our motel, complete with cold, boiled lobsters ( you pick the one you want), potato salad and cole slaw. Even gave us extra butter to melt and cracked the claws and tail for us. Friendly and helpful. Only lobster market open in Alma after 6 pm
Big fresh cheap lobster , choose it , cut it , grab a table at the ocean view terrasse and eat it with bare hands .
Lobsters are ready to go-either warm or cold and clearly price marked on the claw. Take out or eat at picnic tables on their enclosed deck. Friendly service, good lobster and reasonable price. You can BYOB if you like and they'll give you cups.
2 pounds lobster for the price of ~$17. it was delicious and worth it. brought some live lobster home too to Ottawa. they will pack it for you, according to the people there, local eat the lobster cold, it was good.
Do not miss this. Best lobster at a really reasonable price. Sit out back and admire the Bay of Fundy while tearing into your choice of lobster. All sizes available. Cole slaw great, too. Come get messy and have the perfect lobster experience. Nice people, no pretensions, just a great meal.
Do it. Eat here. Even if you don't like lobster. Nothing like a fresh lobster by the bay. Prices are so good you can order a large. Simple. The lobster is a bit salty and was served cold.
Pick your own freshly cooked lobster with the price clearly marked on the claw, have it professionally cracked, buy some slaw and potato salad and go out on the deck next to the Bay of Fundy. The lobster was excellent with melt in your mouth claws and a tasty tender tail. All for a reasonable price, and you can bring... more
sit outside and enjoy your lobster!!! staff is friendly, chose from plain butter to butter and garlic
We were referred here by our B&B for excellent lobster right off the boat. We got exactly that! The restaurant is located in a harbor & we saw the boats load up the trucks & head to the restaurant. It's really a place just to buy lobster, but they'll set you up on their outdoor patio w/everything you need to... more
The lobster were delicious and we sampled the smoked salmon. The smoked salmon was the best we ever had. Our 12 year old daughter even liked it and she's very fussy!
They recommended the lobster cold, and we tried it! It was excellent! The warm lobster was also great.
Great place to get take out lobster! We really enjoyed all the wonderful seafood there. They were very helpful and quick.
Awesome lobster at good prices in a very pituresque location. Rodney and family are friendly as well. Thanks for the tour..... more
They had everything you needed to enjoy a fresh lobster. Even for us novices. You could buy the tools, melted butter and live or on ice lobster. They had a variety of sizes too and an outside eating area.
Lobster - any size - so fresh - so sweet - a super bargain...
Unfortunately, it bis so good that you will never enjoy lobster again at home.
Prepared to go - just buy some nice white wine at ther corner store.
My husband and I checked out the prices at some of the lobster shops in town and ended up buying a cooked 5 lb. lobster to share from the "Alma Lobster Shop". They give you a better price on the bigger lobsters and we weren't disappointed in the taste at all. It was so good, and not only did it... more
Our first supper was thanks to the Lobster Shop. My daughter had lobster a couple of times before, but was always presented as a cut-open lobster tail with the trimmings. This time, it was a full lobster, surrounded with mussels. The look on her face was priceless - but she managed to eat everything. As for my youngest daughter, it... more
Really tasty lobsters bought here and very helpful service. The coolest thing is that they have a tank filled with odd lobsters, crab and such. Lobsters with blue on them or 3 claws, etc. Very cool.
Pick a cooked lobster based on its size/price (written with black marker on one of its claws). They'll cut open the main bits to help the amateurs (like we were). They put it on a tray, with napkins, picks, pincers etc. Walk outside and sit at a picnic table, and blast away at the lobster. The cooked lobster is sitting... more
Great seafood shop just on the edge of Alma. 2 choices for cooked lobster at incredibly reasonable prices. We split a larger beastie for lunch. They give you a tray, crackers, scissors, melted butter & lots of napkins. Picnic tables are outside behind the shop. No eating inside. For inexpensive cooked lobster with no frills, you can't beat it.
Great spot for a walk on the beach and stop in for some fresh lobster, cooked or live. Great scallops, and try the smoked salmon.
Staffer claimed a barnacle on the claw of a $26 lobster would not affect the quality of the underlying meat - it certainly DID on that claw. Otherwise, lobster was good.
We ask the local the best place to buy and ALMA LOBSTER SHOP is the best, we went and we never need to try another lobster shop. My family enjoyed the lobster, but I think the mussels and specially the clams were the best...I cooked them and they were fresh, sweet and meaty...yummy.

Sells lobster pre-deshelled by the pound to make it easy for tourist. Owner was very nice and had a very busy business. Be careful not to back into the wall behind you when you leave.
It was great, we were going to eat there...however they didn't seem to offer picks or utensils to eat at their location...we did take some lobster back to our motel...as far as quality and taste.....no complaints whatsoever!
We bought a live lobster at the Alma Lobster Shop and they prepared it for us for free, including breaking it apart. Besides a tank of live lobsters of various sizes (get there early for the best selection) they also sell a few sides from their deli counter and have a small gift shop featuring lobster theamed items. Friendly people,... more
