Each of our 85 fully furnished suites offers you a full size kitchen and air conditioning. Our affordable rates are ideal for both business and leisure travelers alike. Long term rates available
This is an older hotel and you can see that right away. But the hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. Our room was great (The bathtub could have been bigger). Julie was working the front dest when we arrived and she made us feel very comfortable after our long drive right away. All the staff were amazing, even the maintenance guy was willing to chat and be helpful. I would stay there again.
Was traveling on business and stayed for 2 nights. It's more of an extended stay place with very large rooms, kitchens, etc. The rooms have been reno'd recently and while workmanship wasn't the best I've seen, the materials are good for the most part as was the new furniture (decent bed, TV). It was definitely a clean room. The housekeeping staff knows what they're doing and I tipped accordingly.
Big rooms. Clean. Parking was free (which is unusual for downtown Edmonton). Kitchenette was awesome. Only issue is the elevators were REALLY slow. When we arrived we waited 10 minutes for the elevator (which we were told was because the house keepers were cleaning up for the day and using the elevators).
Other guests ruined the stay with no compensation. Other guests knocked on the door write loud waking my wife and child in the middle of the night then police coming to take a look inside the suite and finally topped off with a fire alarm pulled by those guests. Any compensation by the front desk staff? None! Other than an apology. Shower head pressure very low and not very steady. Location is... more
Neighbourhood a little sketchy after dark, but otherwise a great place to stay, close to everything.
It's not fancy, but it's so nice to have the full kitchen and the separate bedroom when travelling with the family!! Staff were friendly, the kids enjoyed the pool, the beds were comfy, things were clean. The kitchen is sparsely furnished but it was enough. We've stayed here before and keep coming back when we're all in Edmonton.
We used to stay at edmonton house but since it is no longer a hotel, this hotel is our only option for a two bedroom place. It need a serious renovation, but the location is excellent and so were the staff. The breakfast it VERY basic. Just toast, muffins. Parking is free, which is a big plus down town. Beds were comfortable, but the kitchen and bathroom needs a serious renovation.
Our stay was great, nice friendly staff and nice room
our door hinge was not even attached to the door, so it did not close well, it was freezing because you only get ac in the summer and heat in the winter they say, so the warmest it got was below room temp. and the water pressure on the shower was so low we gave up and decided to go for a swim instead to clean the shampoo out..
Good place to stay. Requests were promptly attended to by staff
Parking structure was not easy to access. You need extra space to turn especially with an SUV or mini van. Very small space and not all floors in the parking structure has elevator, don't know why
My family and I absolutely love the room. It was really a home away from home. The elevator, however, is and old school stuff but well maintained and runs smooth. I recommend this hotel and I will be there whenever in Edmonton.
The room was great but when using the swimming pool in the early evening there were no towels available and the change room was a mess. The phone located in the pool area was for emergencies only so could not call for more towels.
The hotel is really good but the hallway was little old as my daughter got scared that where we are going . Other then that it's a nice hotel to stay , with nice pool and close to all amenities. As for the breakfast I wish if it would had croissants and boiled eggs as well. Staff was friendly and cooperative.
Got only 3 hours if sleep both nights I was there. The a/c was on, but not strong enough to cool the entire room. Temp was 27 degrees in the room for most of our vacation. All the could offer was a fan. No discount. I have stayed there 4-5 times so far. First time in the middle of summer. Will be the last.
Quick checkin Friendly staff Central location.
The service was great! From the front desk to housekeeping, all great service.
Had a poor reception from staff, arrived close to midnight and it seems that the worst staff are assigned the graveyard shift. Room was okay, but other hotels of the same price have much better things going for them and not as old. I would only stay here again if I had little choice.
Awesome apartment style room Only complaint is that there is No grassed areas to take dog to do business
The hotel was pretty good, good price for what we got, the staff was pretty nice and the facilities weren't awesome but overall good. The suite was fantastic for what we needed, plus we didn't have any problems with our baby.
I stayed in a large studio with 2 queen beds. The stay was comfortable...the bed were very comfortable. My only issue is that upon checking in, I was required to give a $250 deposit for security against smoking or use of illegal drugs while in the room. I was also required to confirm by reading and signing that I was not going to smoke or use any illegal drugs in the room and that if I did, the... more
I was in Edmonton for several days for work. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite was perfect for working out of (not too cramped) and the kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking supplies. The grocery store is a block away and made for eating in easy.
The rooms were wonderfully big and somewhat updated. This could be the best kept secret of Edmonton with a few improvements. The room smelled of cleane. Aroma improvement would make a big difference. The pillows were all the same softness ( hardness) and lumpy it would be nice to have a selection of pillows to choose from. The breakfast had very little selection with no dairy or eggs. Went to Edmonton for a conference. The conference hotel was twice the money for half the size. Alberta Place Suites gave me a suite with extra bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and it was within walking distance of the convention. The only suggestion I would have is about the breakfast. Not overly heathy choices available. I would go back in a heart beat.
We had a one-bedroom suite and the rooms were shared by 2 couples; we were attending a near-by convention and it was just a short walk to everything we required. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends; the service was excellent, rooms clean and the breakfast was very well suited to our needs with the products always fresh.
Overall good stay. Room was large with a kitchen that we did not use. Bed was a little on the soft side for my liking but probably good for most. Parking is a little hard with a van. The parking lot to elevator and lobby is hard to navigate. Make sure you are in good physical condition.
So nice to have a separate bedroom when traveling with children. The room itself was in great shape, and the parking downtown was free which was nice.
I had a great stay there. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.
Our new favourite hotel. Exceptionally friendly staff. Serene, classy lobby. Large, clean suite with kitchen, big closet, and big windows. Soothing beds. Great pool with big windows. We booked the apartment style room and it was huge. Plenty of room for 6 people. Having the kitchenette was nice. Not very modern but it was fine. The only issue was they didnt clean our room. Noisy, small gym & pool, very minimal continental breakfast , a little too expensive for what you get . They do keep it clean , other than that not very impressive .
I picked this place based on the reviews here. Here's the good:

2. The kitchen is awesome AND there's a grocery store just 1 block away. Loved having breakfast in my room that I made myself. Lunch and dinner I went out, but could have just...

An old building but felt very comfortable with my family.
Terrible parking. Terrible design and very small elevators and narrow halls. Very difficult to get in and out of.
We came to town for a getaway weekend and had a great time.
We enjoyed our room, it was cleaned very well and spacious. Loved the grocery and liquor stores a stones throw away.
However, though we were pleased to see the card in our bathroom stating their environmentally conscious towel washing procedures, we were gravely disappointed about the disposable,...

Definately not a five star hotel. The rooms are far too expensive for the standards of the accomodation. Rooms were dingy and dark, the kitchen looked like it hadnt been cleaned in years, and the bathroom had mould in the grout of the shower. Great location, VERY CLEAN ROOM! i loved it and staff was very friendly.

We came to Edmonton to visit elderly relatives and spent three nights at Alberta Place. Our suite was spacious and clean, and I found the bed particularly comfortable. The hotel was in a convenient location (walking distance from restaurants/grocery store/ mall). Newly renovated hotel, free parking, comfortable beds, lots of room, knowledgable friendly staff. As we were in Town for a sporting event we had to leave the hotel before breakfast was served on the weekend. However, with our apartment sized kitchen we didn't have to worry about... more
We are a family of 6 with kids from 7 months to 14 years so a room for us can be hard to find. Although a basic hotel, it still has a pool, complimentary breakfast, and free parking. Staff are AWESOME! clean, safe, secure. For 145 a night to sleep 6 comfortably it was a great place in my mind.... more
We stayed at Alberta Place in a suite with a kitchenette. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen clean and well supplied and the bathroom fairly spacious. We had a beautiful view overlooking the city. The staff was extremely helpful, assisted us with riding the LRT (bus), finding a bank to exchange currency, and identifying the main attractions for our short... more
The people at the check-in were very nice and our room was big and clean. We stayed there for two nights and our bed was very comfortable! Not too far from downtown and even if the hotel is close to the airport, you don't ear them much in your room.
The room was rather basic but it was nice and clean. the bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Neither good nor bad - just average. There are other choices in the same price range but I would stay here again.
Staying here right now. It's 35 degrees celcius outside and with the a/c cranked up it's 26 in our room. The hallways and 5th floor by the pool and laundry are probably about 30. One of the elevators has been broken for 4 days now so you wait forever. It finally comes and it's full of peole.....wait again. Matresses are... more
The old saying is true... don't judge a book by its cover!! When you walk into the Alberta Place Suite Hotel it is very suprising. The lobby is spacious and up-to-date with beautiful earthy rich colours and with that a great staff that welcomes you. The check in was seamless and filled with great information. The price of the room... more
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Alberta Place Suite Hotel. The front desk personel were very friendly and helpful. Our room on the 9th floor was spacious, quiet and sparkling clean. Extra nice bedding. It's right in downtown Edmonton which was very convenient for us. Free parking included. Breakfast was OK, but nothing to rave about. Nice... more
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and am always pleased with the rooms, hotel staff, and value. There is only one downside -- the continental breakfast is VERY sparse. For my family, that isn't a big deal as we tend to bring breakfast foods anyway. We stay in the family suite which is very spacious and the kitchen... more
My friend and I stayed here May 17-19. One person per room. Room was ok. Bathroom looked clean until I saw the ample amounts of hair caught in the bottom of the shower curtain. There was an obnoxiously loud family staying in two rooms who had no regard for others. When I called to complain, the front desk clerks answer... more
One bedroom suite on 16 th floor facing east. Lots of room, good layout and comfortable. On Friday night too much noise from a nearby nightclub. Breakfast is very basic.
Great location, large suites with separate bedroom and bath extra bed in the living room. Rooms are clean.\n\nThe outside entrance of the hotel is ugly and dirty looking, the lobby is tired and worn.\n\nI actually would like this hotel if a small effort was made to clean and decorate the front areas of the hotel. The bedding needs to be updated. It is a good location with complimentary parking.
Liked the free parking, central location, wonderful to have use of a fridge and stove.\n\nBreakfast selection was bread or cereal, would like to see some fruit or yogurt. Desk staff had limited knowledge of the area.\n\n
Based on our room I would say it was a very basic no frills hotel. Beds were OK, furniture was dorm style. It was great to have the fridge, stove, kettle, dishes etc, so that...

Staff was very accomodating and friendly.\n\nThe bed could have been updated to a better quality.\n\nThis hotel was great! The rooms were huge and worked very well for couples travelling together. The kitchen was well stocked and loved that everything was updated recently. Loved the fact that there was secured covered parking in the downtown core. We will use this hotel again.
Location was excellent and convenient for a downtown Edmonton business traveller.\n\nHotel retained a visibly run-down atmosphere. Restaurant facilities were inadequate for my needs.\n\nThis hotel is one quality notch up from a dive. I'm not sure I would recommend it for family travellers. Location is favourable for downtown Edmonton business travellers who don't plan to spend much time in the... more
The underground parking, kitchenette with dishes and a nice table to eat at, the furniture, the room was like an apartment!\n\nNo restaurant, no pop machine, the compliment breakfast wasn't all that great.\n\nHotel is right downtown, close to the LRT Excellent for concert goers. There are plenty of Restaurants around if you don't mind walking a little ways. Had very spacious rooms, nice decor,... more
“Hotel is right downtown, close to the LRT Excellent for concert goers. There are plenty of Restaurants around if you don't mind walking a little ways. Had very spacious rooms, nice decor, comfortable beds. Very clean.”
We got upgraded to an apartment suite which was a nice surprise.\n\nI found the hotel staff to be unfriendly and catty. I almost wanted to discuss this with them, but ended up leaving upset instead.\n\nThe hotel is clean enough, but the staff was by far the least friendly of any staff I have ever had contact with at a hotel. The continental breakfast was satisfactory and very basic.
Location and very spacious suite. Staff also very responsive to needs.
Liked the kitchen facilities.\n\nThe beds were not comfortable.\n\nThe hotel was what I expected - basic with a kitchen. The parking garage would be tough to navigate if you have a large vehicle. We were attending a concert and the hotel was in a great location to catch the LRT.
Good location..\n\nLack of advertising that their pool is closed.\n\n
I arrived at the hotel and the am told the pool is closed. Nothing was listed on the website. As advised a manager would contact me, they did not. The bed was small for a queen and uncomfortable. The frame was not lined up to the bed correctly and made it sag. Continental Breakfast was meh. Although clean and in a good...

I found parking unsafe and hazardous. There are only 4-5 spots for van/larger vehicles. Only cars is parked. I almost hit the cealing with my SUV.
There is no room service, the breakfast was very basic. It is not even close to any other continental breakfast. There was no fruits. I couldn't even find hot chocolate.
A couple of good things. The suite was spacious and had a nice view.
“ Unfortunately, I booked through Priceline into Alberta Suites, booking a suite which was what I required for my stay, as there were 3 of us. When arriving at Alberta Suites I was informed they were full and I was sent to a "comparable" hotel and assured it is the same as theirs. (the Days Inn) At this point it's late, everyone is exhausted and I'm not going to drive around looking. The reason... more
We stayed at this hotel for three nights during Christmas. There were four of us: a 40-year-old couple, our teenage son, and 80 year old disabled grandfather. The only time we spent in the room was to sleep as we spent the rest of the time with relatives. The only complaints we had were minor: small bathroom, unsafe parking, and dreadful complimentary breakfast. When we left on Boxing day... more
