Not too Happy

The room location was ok.... nice view of the bay and a minute drive from the ferry to St. John. That is pretty much the only nice thing that I can say about this place. I wasn't impressed by the staff and the room was dated. No breakfast included and not many amenities. Use this place in a pinch.

Great place to stay

The motel could use some updating but it was clean and had a great view. All rooms have a view of the bay.

Gorgeous view, accommodations first in class

We began our 12 days in Nova Scotia by a one-night stay at the Admiral Digby Inn - could not have been more pleased. While the hotel is older, it is spotlessly clean, the staff are terrific, the view is amazing and the dinner we had in their restaurant was the best lobster we had on our trip. Would stay again and highly recommend to others.

Excellent for catching ferry to NB

A basic, reliable rather old-style motel three minutes from the ferry to NB. Double beds are comfortable as singles but not doubles. Always clean.

Great location close to ferry & town.

I stayed only one night but enjoyed the experience and found the rate quite reasonable.

Needs updating.

Everything needs to be upgraded, beds sink in the middle. Everyone raves about the Digby scallops but the ones we ordered were tasteless.

Hotel very good,restaurant mediocre

Room was comfortable, clean with reasonable beds, staff were pleasant and accomodating. Only downside was that restaurant was mediocre, at best, and prices were high for quality and quantity received. Unfortunately, there are no other restaurants within easy walking distance.

Nice motel, great food and exceptional staff who you could tell love working there.

Very Happy

We arrived at the hotel 10 minuted before the restaurant closed and we were warmly welcomed, checked into our room. We were promptly seated and our orders were taken. The hotel staff called where we were to go whale watching the next day took care of some business on our behalf. The staff was always helpful.

nice view ...comfy beds didnot like my bathroom set up, sink and toilet in separate rooms, but my sisters bathroom was newer and nicer

Good for a Late Night Ferry Arrival

The room was clean, but extremely dated. Beds just ok. Front desk staff very helpful. Not much to pick from in this little town. No free breakfast.

A motel near Ferry Terminal from NS to NB

Room has odd smell. Envoirment is not bad, quiet and fresh air. The cost is expensive.

Closest Hotel to Ferry

Gateway to Nova Scotia

Great location, very close to the Saint John ferry. Very friendly staff. Thought breakfast was a little pricey, but I guess it was par for the course for Digby.

Awesome view

We really enjoyed watching the sunset/sunrise on our deck, as well as the fishing boats coming and going. Great value: clean, comfortable, relaxing. Dinner at the restaurant was the best meal we had in Nova Scotia!

Very convenient spot to stay

Room was nice and clean, however beds were a little outdated and firm, nonetheless it was a nice quiet sleep, hotel staff was friendly. The indoor pool was surprisingly cold and seemed to require maintenance as the water was very hazy, but still enjoyed despite this. Would stay again if the need to go to Digby arose again.

Excellent hotel

The motel was a pretty good deal for the location and the quality of the room that I booked. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make stay very pleasant. Would recommend for any future visitors.

Room was clean and good sized. It did have a little musty smell that took some getting used to. Beds were a little hard, but adequate. Staff was great and friendly and the dinner was really good. breakfast we felt was quite expensive for what it was.... more

Older; but still comfortable

It is a motel that is conveniently located. The staff was generally helpful and most were pleasant. Dining room staff very nice. However, the furniture and bath fixtures have some wear. On the whole, good value for the price.

Annual Digby trip

My wife and two boys stay at this hotel every year. The staff is friendly and the food in the restaurant is great. The view from our room is always spectacular. It is not super fancy, however, the rooms are clean and quite large for this type of hotel. We would recommend this hotel.

Good stay. Very close to the ferry. Breakfast served in timely fashion to get to ferry on time. Staff aware of needs and has good information.

Great Desk Staff

We arrived late evening with a ton of dirty, wet laundry from rafting. The woman at the desk was generally helpful and friendly and she even stayed a little late so that I could finish drying my laundry. Finally, the place we were looking for!

We loved the Admiral. What a smart way to develop an Inn with every room with convenient parking, convenient to the restaurant that has GREAT food and a wonderful view of the bay. Our first time to Nova Scotia and we put on 2000 km - this was by far our favorite place.

A cozy cottage getaway

We had an excellent supper, and an equally good breakfast. Had our dog with us; no problems there. The cottage was super nice. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night! We will definitely be back next year. Hosts are very nice people, answered all our questions, and pointed out some interesting places to visit. Perfect for our situation.

Only stayed one night as we were taking the ferry to Saint John the next day. Close to the ferry terminal. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were neat and clean. Comfortable beds. Will definitely stay here next time.

They Have You Because They are Close to the Ferry

Very disappointing stay. Room was moist and shabby. Smelled of old things, I always carry Febreeze freshener. Old tub, old sink and loo. Glad the sheets were clean because everything else was old and dated. Restaurant on property, nothing to write home about. The "famous" Digby scallops were small, over-cooked as well as the undercooked baked potato. Front desk help seemed a little suspicious... more
