This is such a great place to eat and have a couple. Stubbled on this little gem working on their gas heater. Highly recommend it hear and their new restaurant buffala opening soon. I had a chance to eat a slice before opening day, it will be the best pizza in town.

Comfort food

Found this little neighborhood spot on Yelp. It's a small place with very friendly, cheerful staff. We ordered a few appetizers/sides to share for our dinner: steak tartare (heavy on the mustard), poutine (perfect amount of heavy), brussel sprouts (just wish there were more) and mac 'n cheese (creamy and comforting). All of them were very tasty. I'd definitely come back to try their entrees.

Fantastic little date spot

I took an old friend here for dinner before she left for college in the US. Quiet enough to have a intimate conversation, but not uncomfortably quiet (where you feel like everyone can hear you). Good neighborhood place with solid and inventive food. The service is very hit and miss and the music can be loud at times but if you are looking for a place to eat late at night there are few better options in the city (and none within Kits).

This is a hidden local cafe with limited number of tables that prepares great food with specials all the time. Also offers a great wine list by the glass and by the bottle from a variety of diverse countries. The service was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

I have only been to this place for breakfast, so I can't comment on the dinner/drinks. Although, the wine list on the wall looked pretty appealing.

We went here the other day with a couple of friends. The atmosphere is dark, cozy, unpretentious and cave-like. Despite the comfiness of out surroundings, it was a bit difficult to settle in for good conversation, because it was so, so loud. This is probably my favorite place to go for drinks in Kits. The margaritas are great and any place that has deep fried pickles is awesome in my books. The atmosphere is chill and the staff is outgoing. Overall it's just a great place to catch up with friends over some delicious cocktails.

I wrote a bad review here after one negative experience that was largely related to service. Since then I've been back quite a few times and had really great food as well as good cocktails and deserts. If you're in kits its probably one of the best places to go for brunch or dinner.

During the weekend this smallish room with an outdoor patio can get pretty busy. But if you wait around the food is pretty darn good. Lots of egg/brunch choices with friendly service.
There's usually a fresh sheet with daily specials too.
