As much a brunch destination as it is a place to scarf late at night, the unassuming but tightly wrought Abigail's Party serves its neighbourhood admirably. The food is ethically sourced, from the Pemberton Meadows beef burger (loaded with double-smoked bacon, aged cheddar, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli) to the organic, buttermilk-fried chicken with a rosemary-cheddar biscuit. Short and Great Menu, cozy atmosphere and outstanding service.
You took our reservation and when we arrived, the place was closed!!!! Not impressed!
This is such a great place to eat and have a couple. Stubbled on this little gem working on their gas heater. Highly recommend it hear and their new restaurant buffala opening soon. I had a chance to eat a slice before opening day, it will be the best pizza in town.
Very cool neighborhood restaurant. Lots of good comfort food and nice cocktails. Great service too!
Found this little neighborhood spot on Yelp. It's a small place with very friendly, cheerful staff. We ordered a few appetizers/sides to share for our dinner: steak tartare (heavy on the mustard), poutine (perfect amount of heavy), brussel sprouts (just wish there were more) and mac 'n cheese (creamy and comforting). All of them were very tasty. I'd definitely come back to try their entrees.
I took an old friend here for dinner before she left for college in the US. Quiet enough to have a intimate conversation, but not uncomfortably quiet (where you feel like everyone can hear you). Food was excellent, the waitress was attentive without being intrusive, and the music selection was on point. The food was delivered in good time. I highly recommend the Mousse dessert, just awesome.... more
My husband and I went to Abigail's Party for an early weeknight dinner. It was nice weather so we sat on the patio which was pleasant. The pork lettuce wraps were pretty good to start. We ordered the duck confit cassoulet as an entree and I was disappointed. The taste was just OK and the way it was served made it just too darn hot to enjoy. I have heard that the brunch is good and would be... more
While I was having my brunch experience at this restaurant I basically went from 4 stars to 2 in my head. Went there with a party of 5 for mother's day brunch - on SATURDAY, not Sunday. I arrived at 11:20 and put my name on the list, we got seated at 12:00. Well, the day was nice outside and so I thought, what the hell, it's busy, maybe it was worth the wait! This place is great. The food is fantastic. The buttermilk wings are amazing. Great wine selection. The bar staff knows how to make a good old fashion which is sometimes hard to find a bar that can do that. It's a great for brunch and a after work hangout. I have always had a great time. Thanks for the hospitality.
I have only been to this place once and it was for brunch. My husband and I really like brunch (we love breakfast, but never wake up in time, so brunch it is!). I researched best brunch and this place was listed in Kits. We went on a Saturday, and with a line out the door at 11:00am, we decided to go to Cafe Zen instead (it was nearby, we were seated immediately, and we like their food).

Was looking for a relaxed pre-concert dinner in a relaxed setting. Abigail's Party was conveniently located in Kits and had an appealing menu. The January night we visited the heat had been off all day and the place was freezing. Although the food was okay the temperature in the room made it hard to concentrate on our meal and all we could think of of was getting finished and out before frost bite set in. had dinner there tonight (dine out Vancouver) it was great! All 4 of us really liked the food and the service was excellent.
Great atmosphere and amazing food! Was there last week and had a great time socializing with the tables around us! Service staff was friendly and contributed to the fantastic atmosphere - bill was pricey which is the only complaint but you're paying for great quality!
Great Early Grey Martea-nis and poutine, but I wouldn't recommend any food: it was mediocre at best. I expected much better quality considering how much I was paying for it.
This is buy far one of the worst establishments that I have been to in a long time. I love to dine out and when I pay for it I expect the food and the service to be at least good. I was a there for a friend's birthday part Dec 21/13 and felt unwelcome from the moment I walked in. The service was beyond poor. THIS is the worst restaurant I have ever been to for a party and 28 of my closest friends agree. We booked a large party for my birthday and had requested set courses to accomadate the restaurant. I was on my own and sat at the bar. Was asked if I wanted something to drink.. I asked for a glass of wine...server said the wine list was on chalk board as you come in. I had to prompt for a recommendation. Anther server came in and had a small, quick drink behind the bar. Isn't that illegal? Food was mega mediocre. Don't bother... Unless great big hangover and don't care.
Good neighborhood place with solid and inventive food. The service is very hit and miss and the music can be loud at times but if you are looking for a place to eat late at night there are few better options in the city (and none within Kits).
Was there for brunch this morning. Waited for 20 minutes for a table. Service was good, waitress was friendly. We ordered coffee (only brewed, they didn't have the fancy kind), Yew Street Special ($12), and the Mescalero Scramble ($12). Coffee was very weak which I didn't enjoy. Yew St Special is an omelette with mushrooms, arugula, tarragon, and goat cheese, served with fried potatoes, and... more

This is a hidden local cafe with limited number of tables that prepares great food with specials all the time. Also offers a great wine list by the glass and by the bottle from a variety of diverse countries. The service was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
I have only been to this place for breakfast, so I can't comment on the dinner/drinks. Although, the wine list on the wall looked pretty appealing.

I'm giving Abigail's Party two and a half stars.
I liked the food although the portion left me still hungry afterwards and I'm a 110lb woman who likes to start the day with a good sized portion of food. I had the California Benny. The menu items sounded quite good, but unfortunately the execution was a bit heavy-handed.

Excellent Sunday brunch.
As of 2013-7-14 they are open for brunch 9am-2:30pm Sat, Sun & Hols.
I wanted to love it here, I really did. The menu reads well - Canadian inspired bistro fare with little pretence, the wine list is well thought out and the ambiance pairs well with its cozy Kitsilano location. This is the kind of neighbourhood restaurant that I want to see doing well.
We visited Abigail's on a beautiful Friday evening - we arrived two drinks in and the world just felt right....

Food was ok but the service was terrible. We waited well over one hour for our food. They kept trying to make excuses and when it came it was ok but not worth a one hour wait. Maybe I will come back but not if that one server is working.
I'm not sure why this place has high ratings as nothing about the brunch experience reflected quality. I will never return.

Brunch was amazing and my wife and i can't wait to return for more. Just look at the pictures.

I have two breakfast rules. One is to never go to a place where the average price for a dish is over $10. Because unless the portion is huge and the food is great, spending $20 for breakfast (after coffee, tax, and tip) will always disappoint. The other rule is to never try and satisfy a craving for american diner food in Vancouver...it just doesn't exist.

Really nice vibe and neighborhood nook feel. Great drinks and service. Pricey for dinner but worth it for the ambiance on a night out. Great for taking a date or meeting friends.
I'm NOT coming back here. The burger was overdone and when I ordered it, the server asked me if I would like fries or poutine. I thought to go with poutine, and it was additional $4 that I wasn't made aware of! When asked, the server said it was stated in the menu. What to say... poor customer service.

I've been back for their brunch and I can't say it was anything special, so if I was going back I would stick to dinner time.
We ordered the California benny and the chicken and waffles. The benny was great, nice flavors. The chicken and waffles came with two pieces of chicken and two waffles. Waffles were sweet and had the right amount of crunchiness and softness.
