Beautiful Fall Evening

Lovely place, great breakfast
26 août 2009We had a great time at A L'Ancestrale. Monique is warm and welcoming, and the inn is well appointed, with great details. She has a terrific eye and makes the place charming but not kitschy. Our only challenge was getting the car parked in the narrow driveway. The breakfasts are marvelous--healthy, creative, and delicious. Plan to spend a good hour... plus

wow...very nice experience!!...4 stars...intime, large room,healthy and original breakfast served by the owner Monique. She,s lovely personn. The house is charm, with attractive living room, many books and lvely music. (She traveling a lot) with interesting books and piano.
Those who will be enchanted by this B&B. Very nice music while eating, (breakfast or dinner) a massage, a lot information...

I totally agree with the previous review! The B&B is very nice, close to the center of town, clean and with character. Breakfast is elaborate and good (not for the big appetite, but this is typical of the area I guess!) and the outdoor hot tub is really great!!

17 août 2006My girlfriend and I booked at l'Ancestrale in Magog for one night. Our room was equipped with a Jacuzzi. After we set up everything, we found out that the Jacuzzi wasn't working. It was around 11:30 at night so we didn't want to wake up anyone for this matter.. right ? After we explained the situation to Monique, she didn't... plus

Very good, but I've seen better

I give it an overall 4 stars because of its healthy and original breakfast (big appetites won't be fulfilled, though)served by the owner Monique in a delightful tempo and manner, because of the houses's general charm, the agreeable living room with interesting books and piano, and the 2 adorable cats who seem to look after the customers.

Caution! A L'Ancestrale B&B
01 octobre 2002Be careful when making reservations at this establishment. My friend and I booked six nights at this establishment beginning Aug 22 and were asked to leave (along with all guests) after the first night because the owner, Monique, was called away. She doesn't have a backup plan in case she gets sick, etc. This resulted in trying to find accommodations... plus
