Pleasantly surprised

This place was a spur of the moment choice to be honest, and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, our order arrived pretty quick and the pizza was exquisite. Cool spot to hang out with friends on a hot summer's day. They should really try to add more tables though...

24/7 And it's Fantastic!

Located just south of Yorkville on Charles St and just west of the Village 7West Cafe is a very nice place for any meal. Whether your coming here for a late snack, romantic dinner or breakfast/brunch I've never felt let down by their service or their food.

The venue is also really nice, wood and chandeliers everywhere, with beautiful paintings on the ceiling and timeless photographs hanging on the walls.

Best Breakfast & Brunch!

7 West is one of my favourite breakfast & brunch places in the city! I've had almost everything on the menu and it's all fabulous! Me & my girls get together once a month and we always pick 7 West cuz it's sooooo yummy!

Amazing banada bread cake

Oooooo I can remember it like it was yesterday! The banana bread cake is to DIE for! It has actual chunks of banana in it and it's soooo yummy! The atmosphere is cool too, I really enjoy coming here. It's a bit dark and loud for a cafe, but it's open all night and they serve good food and drinks!

Cool Hideaway

I've been to this cool spot at least a hundred times over the years! The food is good but the ambiance is what you'll really remember.
*Great spot for a first date*

Good place for the morning coffee

This is my favorite place for the morning coffee, especially when my husband is not home. When he's home we drink it together at home but when he's gone I come here because this place fills me with positive energy for the entire day.

The receipt says it all: delightfully urban; staff nocturnal. Seriously: open 24/7. The ultimate first date place, but long haul couples still nestle in wooden corner booths and lots of deuces. Fabulous place to play "I Never" with your local university friends. Top floor is coziest, with seductive candles lit amongst stained glass windows. Food's smaller snack portions, sharing style.... more

I have come to this cafe at all times of the day and night for every type of meal possible, breakfast, dinner, lunch, a late afternoon coffee, brunch, after a night out, before a night out , so on and so forth. The quality of food should not be compared to best Italian fine dinning in the city or the best burger …

I went there twice. The second time was only to confirm if it really was that bad and yes it was. Service was terrible. I waited to be greeted. I waited to be seated. Waited to be given menus and had to wait even longer to have our orders taken. Didn't see my water anywhere in sight after having asked for it …

I may be a bit biased in writing such a stellar review for this place, but I am sentimental about it! To start off, this place is open WELL into the night. You can have a steak at 4 am (yes, ppl have done that) The location and decor: 7 West is located in a Victorian townhouse on Charles west. The decor is …

We went for dinner, and it left me feeling quite unsatisfied. We started with the platter, which was a good size, but was loaded with tomatoes of all varieties, sundried, stewed with goat's cheese, chopped up topped on bread with cheese. The tomato theme continued with my sister's penne …

I was very impressed by 7 west. It had a very mellow and casual atmosphere for any type of outting: Catchups w friends, date, venting session, whatever you need! Very widespread selection for decent pricing, what can go wrong? It's as central as I gets so it's definitely worth a try! Food is a good …

7 West Café: Great old-school cafe
April 03, 2011

This place isn't about the food--it's a real cafe in the old world style. A big terrace, a lovely old building with big windows and creaking walls, and tables where you can happily do nothing, read, or talk. Like a real cafe, which, again, ain't about the food. These are rare in Toronto. Even though the town has thousands of patios, these people are always eating or yakking or drinking. They... more

Now this cafe is the greatest. It's definitely a local haunt and wonderful because of it's atmosphere, it's location and the fact that it's open 24 hrs! If you're a tourist suffering from jet lag and have no idea what to do with your time while everyone is sleeping, feel free to visit here. Admittedly, it is a trendy place, located close to University of Toronto so the crowd tends to be between... more

Tucked away in a small laneway off Charles Street West, in between the upscale Yorkville neighbourhood and the University of Toronto campus, this refurbished Victorian townhouse offers a great option for a quick lunch, drink or late-night dessert. In fact, 7 West is open 24-7, so you can grab dessert early in the morning, if you prefer. With a lengthy menu of sandwiches and pastas, and a... more

Located a block east of the University of Toronto’s large expanse, along the small laneway of Charles Street West, sits 7 West Café. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the three-story restaurant boasts years of service and a steady flow of cheesecake, even at 3 a.m. Featured on the menu are the selections of breakfast, appetizers, pasta, pita pizzas, sandwiches and decadent desserts.
